The field of English teaching is one which thousands of teachers worldwide have pursued as a life profession. The issues of expertise and professionalism, however, vary in the aspect to which we understand the obligations that are tied to the chosen profession. Most frequently, the misconception related to the issue of “preparedness” in teaching is that of gaining superficial knowledge i.e. a BA diploma in teaching English, a practical experience in a school or two, a diploma project on a topic which is conducted during the studies etc. and by this, the mission “being accomplished.” The false belief that is formed is that no further training or advanced development is further needed. However, in order to keep up with current changes in teaching, teachers must always pursue further practical development, termed as the individual perspective. This paper aims to identify the most crucial aspects of teacher development and also stresses the importance of teacher trainings in the process. It also implies that the individual perspective is achieved with the help and support of the Ministry of Education together with higher institutions. The case study was conducted with private and state university professors. A teacher survey consisting of 12 statements was used as an instrument in the study (see Appendix). Statements were divided into two main categories: the individual perspective and the institutional perspective and were ranked on a scale from 1-5 (least-most important).Research questions were: “Are teachers aware of the importance of individual perspective development in their career?” “What are the areas which need further development?” and “How can teachers initiate institutional support?”The findings and conclusions serve as implications for a wider general perspective in Macedonia and in the region.

Exergaming, or active video gaming, has become an emerging trend in fitness, education and health sectors. It is defined as digital games that require bodily movements to play, stimulating an active gaming experience to function as a form of physical activity (PA). Since exergaming is becoming more popular, claims have been made on the usefulness of exergaming. It has, for example, been entitled as being “the future of fitness” by the American College of Sports Medicine, promoting PA and health in children and adolescents. However, research also suggests that long-term engagement in exergaming is difficult to achieve, and there is a noticeable reservation towards exergaming by parents, teachers and caregivers. To provide an overview and to outline the future directions of exergaming, the aim of this review was to critically illustrate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of exergaming to promote PA and health in children and youth. The available evidence indicates that exergaming has the potential to improve health via an increase in PA. However, it seems that this potential is frequently underexploited, and further developments such as customized exergames are needed.

The modern system of athlete training is a complex multi-factor phenomenon that includes goals, objectives, means, methods, material, technical and other conditions that ensure the achievement of the highest performance by an athlete. At the same time, it is also an organizational and pedagogical process of preparation for competitions. In the structure of the training system, its components are sports training, competitions, out-of-training and out-of-competition factors that increase the effectiveness of training and competitions. The final result of the joint activity of the athlete and the coach largely depends on how rationally the work in the individual sections of the system of the long-term training process is built. This topic is relevant, especially in the Tambov Region, where the ice season is two months (January, February), as it affects the issues of training athletes in speed skating with the natural ice in regions with unfavorable climatic conditions or other external factors that hinder the skaters training (including poor-quality ice covering), as well as the lack of methods of sports training of athletes engaged in speed skating in unfavorable climatic and other conditions that hinder the skaters training. Currently, skaters in training without the ice use a large number of special exercises that allow to conduct a variety of targeted strength training, improve special performance.

Influence of functional asymmetry (FA) on: training process in sports in general and directly in boxing, mastering of physical exercises, development of physical qualities. Impartiality of determining the dominant functional side for mastering special boxing exercises only on the basis of the dominance of the limb. Different approaches to FA smoothing. Determined: optimal age for mastering technical - tactical exercises in boxing, a certain tendency of girls and juniors to master asymmetric exercises in boxing training, optimal physical exercises for smoothing FA depending on the period of long - term training of the athlete. Conclusions. When learning bilaterally, it is necessary to: determine the individual profile (IPA) of the individual, as well as take into account the phases of the menstrual cycle (MC). It is difficult to take into account the IPA in each new study of coordination, special exercises. Constantly change the means of submission the training task. Begin training with this method in certain sensitive periods only after mastering the exercise by the dominant party.

Academic achievement in immigrant children and adolescents is an indicator of current and future adaptive success. Since the future of immigrant youths is inextricably linked to that of the receiving society, the success of their trajectory through school becomes a high stakes issue both for the individual and society. The present article focuses on school success in immigrant children and adolescents, and the role of school engagement in accounting for individual and group differences in academic achievement from the perspective of a multilevel integrative model of immigrant youths’ adaptation ( Motti-Stefanidi, Berry, Chryssochoou, Sam, & Phinney, 2012 ). Drawing on this conceptual framework, school success is examined in developmental and acculturative context, taking into account multiple levels of analysis. Findings suggest that for both immigrant and nonimmigrant youths the relationship between school engagement and school success is bidirectional, each influencing over time the other. Evidence regarding potential moderating and mediating roles of school engagement for the academic success of immigrant youths also is evaluated.
