Context: In general, teachers and students have distorted views about the functioning of a scientific work. This research uses the episode of the historical construction of the Second Law of Movement and seven distorted views on the subject. Objectives: This work aims to exemplify the distorted views students can construct about scientific endeavour if a didactic approach that does not consider the history and philosophy of science is used. Design: Seven distorted views regarding scientific work are explained and, subsequently, exemplified from the episode in question, showing how this history is seen, in general, in textbooks, and by most teachers. Environment and participants: This is a theoretical analysis, not including participants. The materials used were primary and secondary bibliographic sources. Data collection and analysis: Seven distorted views on science, from the episode of the historical construction of the Second Law of Movement, were collected, and a historical-philosophical reflection was carried out on them. Results: Following the presentation of the views and examples, criticism and allusion to how this episode should be treated are offered. Conclusions: Throughout the text, as well as in its final considerations, relevant aspects to be worked on in the classroom are discussed, for a critical view of the construction of scientific knowledge.

Online learning is a learning via internet without meeting face-to-face between teachers and students. This online learning system is relatively new, therefore teachers and students should adapt quickly. This study aims to determine the online Arabic learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 1 Surakarta. Researcher used a qualitative approach and observation, interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results described that e-learning madrasah was used as the main media for online Arabic learning at MTsN 1 Surakarta during the covid-19 pandemic, then assisted by Whatsapp and Youtube channel. The subject matter was presented in video, powerpoint, and pdf. The learning stages were divided into three: preparation, implementation (pre-activities, whilst-activities and post-activities), and evaluation stage. This online learning helps teachers to coordinate with and supervise students easily, on the other hand, it is difficult for them to monitor the students’ understanding and bad internet network make some students could not follow the learning process in time.

In recent years, there has been a shift towards understanding why things happen in the way that they do from the qualitative perspectives. However, the qualitative methods are sometimes considered either too trivial or difficult by many postgraduate students. This is attributed to the fact that there is a lack of formula or specific procedure in the application of the methods, which manifest from its subjective nature. The subjectivism makes it even more difficult during data collection and analysis, mainly because it requires special skills and knowledge to interrogate the subject within context. Many postgraduate students fall short in their attempts to exhume quality and rich data from the participants in their natural settings as they develop, implement, use, and interact with systems. This is the main reason why two empirical studies of the same objectives could possibly produce different results.

Ethnologists collect their data “in the field”, i.e. in the living environment of the examined, and not like other scientists in the laboratory, at home or in the library. Field research is the central method of the subject and includes various methods of data collection. The volume conveys basic knowledge of empirical data collection and thus serves as a practical guide – for both teachers and students. The authors, who all teach at German-speaking institutes, have gained experience with methods of data acquisition in different regions worldwide. The texts offer valuable help in the preparation of field research, give an overview of individual procedures and encourage closer examination of them. "In the field" the volume serves as a reference work, e.g. if unforeseen problems encounter, and encourages to try different methods. A practical guide for teachers and students of ethnology.

Background: Some inconsistencies that appeared when teaching Geometry - using Dynamical Geometry Softwares - to Mathematics undergraduate students, inspired this work . Objectives: To stress the potentialities and, specially, the limitations of Dynamical Geometry Softwares in order of using it correctly by teachers, pre-service teachers and students for learning and teaching situations and investigations in Geometry. Design: Critical analysis study of situations, with examples produced using Dynamical Geometry Softwares, in order to reveal some inconsistencies with respect to the theory. In particular, Geogebra was the software used. Setting and participants: Some of the examples presented here, elaborated in GeoGebra, were briefly discussed in classes of pre-service teachers of mathematics aiming at an awareness of the inconsistencies that may appear using a Dynamical Geometry Software. The authors are the unique participants of the elaboration of those examples. Data collection and analysis: There was not data collection, but only elaboration of examples in order to provide some arguments for future discussions. Results: Examples production shows some limitations of Dynamical Geometry Softwares and that those limitations are insurmountable due to epistemological reasons. Conclusions: Awareness of Dynamical Geometry Software limitations is fundamental for its correct use. Those limitations do not invalidate the software potential. On the contrary, being conscious of both potentialities and limitations of a hardware is a necessary condition to a fruitful use of it.

This article has the purpose of integrating Western theories with the teachings of Islam. The theory is the theory of prejudice in political psychology with Islamic teachings in the al-Qur'an and Hadist. The both al-Quran and Hadist are the two main sources of the study of Islamic psychology. The prejudice of terms in political psychology is compatible with the terms suu dhon and khusnu dhon in Islamic political psychology.

This research includes literature research. The research included the category of qualitative research. The analysis used with Deductive inductive analysis. The work of researchers in data collection and analysis involves six stages: the first, researchers look for material information related to the subject. The second explores the themes that are appropriate to the theme chosen by the researcher. The Thirdly, the analysis of existing knowledge information is repeated. The Fourth, an unnecessary reduction of data. The fifth verification data by the researcher. The sixth conducted a discussion of the theme findings. Finally make a conclusion.

The results of the study show that political behavior in political psychology or Islamic political psychology is the origin of behavior that can lead to conflict, mobs and can enter legal institutions. Discipline, maturity, and being a person in politics can be seen when one can be cautious in applying bias in public places. The effects of the application of the theory of psychological prejudice can be seen from anxiety, emotions, division strategies, human needs for achievement, affiliation, and power.

Keywords: Prejudice, Political Contestation, and Islamic Political Psychology.

Background: Gender issues have been guided recently in our country from a misogynistic and patriarchal bias. Apparently, school mathematics would have nothing to contribute or problematize in this sense. However, the exercise we propose calls into question the neutrality of this school subject and moves it from a perspective that allows us to investigate the theme of gender in contemporary times. Objective: in the excerpt made for this article, we examined the approaches of these two studies to gender issues and their connections with mathematics education. Settings: We analysed the 113 books that composed the corpus of the investigation, from where we selected 12 images that helped us compose what we called a “practical handbook on how to be a girl.” Design: this handbook was prepared as a fictional narrative from the theoretical-analytical exercise undertaken on the material through the discourse analysis. Data collection and analysis: by understanding images as pedagogical devices, we sought regularities that allowed us to elaborate the handbook. Results: from the analyses, we constructed the following sentences related to the subject girl/woman: (i) girls must be careful; (ii) girls must be selfless; (iii) girls must be delicate; (iv) women must mind the time, (vi) girls must be organised and efficient and, finally, (vii) girls must know how to cook. Conclusion: mathematics, as a non-neutral science, operates as a tool so that desirable values of an extremely conservative portion of the Brazilian population are taught and propagated.
