ABSTRACTPrinted electronics is a seminal technology for the production of simple disposable electronic products. In comparison to conventional silicon electronics it offers the possibility to use potentially cheap materials (e.g. polymers) which can be processed as solutions or dispersions by means of highly productive mass printing technologies. One main aim is the production of fully mass printed electronic circuits for the identification of single items, which should not cost more than one cent per tag. For the realization several challenges have to be clarified. On the one hand the performance of the - often organic - materials has to be increased in interaction with the used printing technologies. On the other hand the printing methods themselves have to be adapted and continuously improved. Alternatively, new approaches for the preparation of structured thin films have to be developed. This paper introduces a new technique for the production of source/drain electrodes with high resolution.

AbstractPrecision X-ray reflectivity data were obtained with a high-resolution reflectometer equipped with a rotating anode X-ray source and Ge 220 channel monochromators (one placed before and the other after the specimen). The surfaces and buried interfaces of thin films were characterized by ieast-squares refinement of experimental data. Values of thickness, density, and/or roughness of Pt “single-layer” and Pt/Co based multiple-layer films were determined.

A versatile procedure of sputter deposition, well-adapted for getting a large range of Te/M ratios (with M = Zr or Nb), has led to the synthesis of several highly anisotropic zirconium and niobium polytellurides in thin film form. Upon tuning the two key parameters of the process, i.e., the Te percentage in the target and the substrate temperature during the deposition, preparation of systems ranging from ZrTe0.72 to ZrTe6.7, on the one hand, and from NbTe1.28 to NbTe7.84, on the other, has been achieved. Besides their amorphous or crystalline (with or without preferential orientations) behavior and their relationship to known structural types, the most striking feature of these films is their large departure from the stoichiometry of the bulk MTex reference compounds. This peculiarity, together with the possible changes of composition under annealing, are described and interpreted in terms of variable amounts of Te and M atoms trapped or intercalated within the parent structures.

This paper deals with a planar nanopositioning and -measuring machine, the so-called nanofabrication machine (NFM-100), in combination with a mounted atomic force microscope (AFM). This planar machine has a circular moving range of 100 mm. Due to the possibility of detecting structures in the nanometre range with an atomic force microscope and the large range of motion of the NFM-100, structures can be analysed with high resolution and precision over large areas by combining the two systems, which was not possible before. On the basis of a grating sample, line scans over lengths in the millimetre range are demonstrated on the one hand; on the other hand, the accuracy as well as various evaluation methods are discussed and analysed.

In this paper a new technique is proposed based on the comparison between Conventional Transistorized Flip-flop and Data transition Look ahead D flip flop here we are checking the working of DLDFF and the conventional D Flip-flop after that we are analyzing the characteristic comparison using power & area constraints after that we are proposing a Negative Edge triggered flip-flop named as Switching Transistor based D Flip-Flop(STDFF) with reduced number of transistors which will reduce the overall power area as well as delay. The simulations are done using Microwind & DSCH analysis software tools and the result between all those types are listed below. Our proposed system simulations are done under 50nm technology and the results are tabulated below. In that our proposed system is showing better output than the other flip-flops compared here.

Over the last years, the documentation of Heritage has been increasingly enriched with new forms of data representation and contents deriving from technological applications on artifacts and the progress of computer graphics: if, on the one hand, 3D survey has become an effective tool supplementing and supporting traditional study activities, as it can generate accurate and high-resolution digital models (available especially when physical access to materials is not possible, but also for enhancement or to formulate hypothetic reconstruction), on the other, archaeometry investigations can provide all that information (about composition, firing temperature of clay, etc.) that autopsy, comparison, formal, contextual, or bibliographic analysis cannot do on their own.

In this paper, two forward adaptive piecewise uniform scalar quantizers are proposed for high-quality quantization of speech signals modeled by the Laplacian probability density function. In designing both forward adaptive piecewise uniform scalar quantizers an equidistant support region partition is assumed and a distribution of the number of reproduction levels per segments is optimized. The proposed models differ in the approach of determining the reproduction levels. In particular, one model defines the reproduction levels as the cell centroids and the other one as the cell midpoints. We show that, in the high-resolution case, the proposed quantizers provide approximately the same performance being close to the one of the forward adaptive nonlinear scalar compandor with equal number of quantization levels.

Corpus linguistics is anchored in a theoretical paradigm characterised by an empiricist approach and as well as by a conception of language as a probabilistic system. In linguistics, empiricism Empiricism is an approach that grants primordial status to data coming from the observation of language, generally grouped together in a corpus, as opposed to rationalism Rationalism. Rationalism is based on the study of language through introspection, which is regarded as a way of assessing models of structural functioning and the formation of the cognitive process of language. As a result, there is a chasm between the philosophical perspectives characteristic of the empiricist and rationalist conceptions of language, represented by its main contributors. On the one hand, there is Halliday, a representative of the empiricist conception, and, on the other hand, Chomsky, the greatest figure of Rationalism rationalism in linguistics. However, new approaches need to be taken into consideration. From all these conceptions the greatest number of works of corpus linguistics has been derived, in the areas of lexicography and terminology – production of dictionaries, glossaries, terminological databases, etc.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine the current positioning of online banking in Spain. Design/methodology/approach Netnography, a new technique for obtaining information. Findings The collection and analysis of 261 valid messages from two online consumer portals enables us to observe the existence of two competitor groups and two types of attributes. On the one hand, consumers perceive online banking as competitors depending on their size; and on the other hand, negative (or positive) aspects are compensated (or accepted) as a result of greater (or lesser) profitability. This means that different forms of value creation are offered with online banking clients. Originality/value The methodology used represents an innovative way to determine the positioning of online banking and could be extended to other digital products.

Our previous studies indicated that ultrasound treatment can increase the anaphylaxis of protein. However, investigation on the anaphylaxis changes of ultrasound-treated α-lactalbumin (ALA) during digestion is lacking. The anaphylaxis of ultrasound-treated ALA and its digesta was investigated. The anti-digestive stable peptides were identified by high-resolution mass spectrometry. Ultrasound induced the tertiary structure of ALA to unfold and increased its anaphylaxis. During digestion, the anaphylaxis of both gastric and gastroduodenal digesta was further increased. There are two reasons for this phenomenon. On the one hand, linear epitopes played an important role in affecting anaphylaxis compared with the conformational epitope, and some linear epitopes were still retained on the anti-digestive stable peptides produced after gastroduodenal digestion, resulting in increased anaphylaxis after digestion. On the other hand, the presence of intact ALA molecules after digestion still remained strong anaphylaxis. Compared with the digesta of untreated ALA, the digesta of ultrasound-treated ALA possessed higher anaphylaxis. The results indicated that ultrasound increased the anaphylaxis of ALA during digestion.

AbstractHigh-resolution synchrotron radiation X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HRXPS) is used to study the chemical bonding at the Al2O3/Si(001) and Al2O3/Si(111) interfaces. In both cases, the Si2p spectra recorded at 180 eV photon energy provides evidence a thin interfacial layer rich in Si-O bonding. On the other hand, conventional AlKα X-ray source angular measurements clearly indicate that there are two in-plane orientations for Al2O3/Si(111) : [11-2]Al2O3(111)//[11-2]Si(111) and [-1-12] Al2O3(111)//[11-2]Si(111) but four in-plane orientations for Al2O3/Si(001) : [11-2] Al2O3(111)//[100]Si(001), [11-2]Al2O3(111)//[010]Si(001), [11-2]Al2O3(111)//[-100]Si(001), and [11-2]Al2O3(111)//[0-10]Si(001).
