Abstract The article proposes a method for determining the rational motion intensity of specific train traffic flows on railway transport corridors with account for balance of expenses on traction resources and cargo owners. A mathematical model based on stochastic optimization is developed, which allows to optimize, in the conditions of risks, the interval between trailing trains on the railway lines taking into account the limited resources of the traction rolling stock, the capacity of the stations and freight fronts at the cargo destination point. Solving this mathematical model allows to find a balance between the expenses for movement of train traffic flows from different railway lines to their terminal reference station and the expenses of a consignee, subject to the limitations of the technological logistics chain in cargo transportation. For the solution of this mathematical model, a Real-coded Genetic Algorithm (RGA) was used.

The operational problem of container unloading from the ship is analyzed in this paper. Dynamic “crane-cargo-ship” system was investigated, and a mathematical model was created. In the model, the gap between the container and the ship’s cargo hold, the mass of the cargo, the container’s center of the mass, and the frictional forces that may occur during lifting from the cargo hold were estimated. Numerical analysis of the system was performed. Results of numerical analysis were compared with experimental measurements of containers unloading process in port. Requirement of lifting power was modelled depending on mass of cargo. Additional power needs in case of contact forces between container and wall of the ship’s cargo hold were calculated. Rational lifting conditions could be deduced using a created mathematical model and the reliability of the container and cargo during lifting could be deduced.

Combined cargo transportation in Ukraine is characterized by the presence of uncertain risks. The aim of the article was to propose a mathematical model for choosing the mode of transportation that would correspond to the best value of the integral objective function in the presence of fuzzy, stochastic and uncertain risk parameters. The efficiency of the mathematical model provided the possibility of forming not only long-term forecasts that require significant time, but also short-term forecasts in real time. This allows to quickly change routes and conditions of transportation. Practical testing of the mathematical model revealed the assimilating nature of some uncertain risks. The results of the analysis are given in the article. The realization of such a risk leads to a radical change in all conditions of transportation. Long-term forecasts allow to predict new routes and conditions of transportation.

The influence of the existing conditions of operational work at transportation of cargoes by group and single cars is investigated. An analysis of modern approaches to improving the efficiency of the car fleet and the competitiveness of railway transport in the transport market of Ukraine. The most perspective approaches and directions of improvement of cargo delivery systems are allocated. A study of the efficiency of the organization of transportation by the criterion of total car-hours of downtime under accumulation. A mathematical model of chemical cargo transportation by carriage, group shipments and transportation of container trains with accumulation to technical norms of trains in the directions of transportation has been developed. The efficiency of two models of chemical cargo shipment organization is compared and a more efficient transportation option is identified. It is established that for more efficient use of rolling stock and reduction of car turnover there is transportation of goods in cars as a part of a container train. The influence of the components of the car turnover on its final value is analyzed. A study of the cost of transportation of benzene in tanks and tank containers in some areas. According to research, the cost of transporting benzene in tank containers on railway ownership platforms is twice less than in private tanks and tanks of Ukrzaliznytsia fleet. These recommendations will improve the process of transportation and increase the volume of goods by rail.

Good and efficient Air cargo handling, especially for dangerous goods transportation need to be supported by licensed dangerous goods handling personnel and supported by the transport handling facilities as well as standard procedure. Comprehensive standards and procedures are required to reduce the risk of accidents caused by an error in the handling of the dangerous goods transportation. Main problems in this study: first, to analyse the process of air cargo transportation handling at the Adisutjipto Airport; second, to analyse the standard of the dangerous goods handling personel. The cargo handling process consists of Outgoing (Acceptance, weighing, Documentation, Marking & labeling, X-ray, Storage, Build-up, and Loading) and Incoming (Check Incoming Massage, Unloading, Breakdown, check lists, Physical Examination, Storage, Notice of Arrival, Delivered). The mathematical model of Dangerous Goods Handling Personnel Number Standard: DG Personel Cargo Agent Type A = c.% DG. (2,89 x 10^-2) DG Personnel Warehousing Type B = c.% DG (4,53 x 106-3), DG Personnel Airline Type B = c.%DG. (4,89 X 10^-4).

Air cargo transportation is an essential mode of cargo transportation. How to distribute air cargo into flights better is an important operational problem. In this paper, air cargo data collected by CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) during the first three months of 2018 are analyzed. We find that the available capacity for cargo transportation shows great variations, and the cargo compartment utilization rates of flights are heterogeneously distributed. Next, a data-driven air cargo redistribution model is developed based on multiple programming (MP). The proposed model can effectively transport high-priority goods and balance cargo compartment utilization rates of flights. In addition, the proposed model framework can provide a new solution to multi-objective or multi-stage optimization problems.

A major problem faced by every airline is to construct a daily schedule for a heterogeneous aircraft fleet. In the present paper implementation of aircraft routing and scheduling for cargo transportation, known as one of the scheduling problem in transportation, in an air-line is presented. First, problems faced by the company are defined and then implementation steps and expected improvements that will result from carrying out the solution of mathematical model of the problem are given in detail. The purpose of this paper is to describe, analyze and evaluate a case study of how an aircraft scheduling was managed in an air-line.

The article presents the robotic implementation of the practice oriented problem of optimal unmanned cargo transportation. In the problem it is necessary for unmanned cargo track to go through the specified path in the shortest possible time (taking into account the specified technical conditions (for example, the speed limitation) according to the predefined conditions (acceleration, constant speed, braking).A mathematical model of moving the object and the solution of the corresponding optimization problem are presented. A description of the implementation of the model for a particular device is given, including preliminary test and calibration experiments. The conducted approbation showed wide pedagogical perspectives of the approach when teaching motivated schoolchildren and students of both information and other directions of learning (mathematics, physics, natural and engineering sciences).
