ABSTRACT The loss of tooth substance due to attrition and abrasion may lead to sensitivity to hot and cold, compromised esthetics, loss of anterior guidance and decreased masticatory efficiency. This case report describes the oral rehabilitation of a patient with abrasion, attrition and missing teeth. Treatment consisted of endodontic treatments of multiple teeth followed by their full coverage restorations, and fixed partial dentures for replacement of missing teeth. Esthetic and functional rehabilitation resulted in patient satisfaction, and no complications were noted related to the treatment after 1 year. How to cite this article Kulkarni RS. Abstract The aim of this case presentation is to outline some of the advantages that an adjunct orthodontic treatment can offer in a comprehensive oral rehabilitation of an adult patient. Adjunctive orthodontic treatment is usually limited to a dental arch or to a group of teeth within an arch. The purpose of dental movements in this case will be to position the teeth in a way that makes the restoration or replacement of damaged or missing teeth as easy as possible and with minimal dental tissue sacrifice. In addition, the improved position of the teeth will create a healthier periodontal environment that is easier to maintain over time.

This article describes rehabilitation of one case, complex psychiatric treatment, facial asimetry, with mandibular and maxilla missing teeth and dental disharmony, with a fixed and also removable hybrid prosthesis.Rehabilitation with fixed or removable prosthesis is even more challenging when the edentulous span is long and the ridge is irregular deformities and unfavorable biomechanics encountered at the prosthetic field for complex rehabilitation. In such situation, a fixed-removable prosthesis allows favorable biomechanical stress distribution along with restoration of esthetics, phonetics, comfort, hygiene, and better postoperative care and maintenance.

A combination of dental problems such as missing teeth, proclination of teeth and occlusal problems cannot be satisfactorily treated by prosthodontic approach alone. The rehabilitation of patients requiring an esthetic smile demands the collaboration of multiple dental specialists. the need for orthodontic tooth movement prior to restorative treatment is necessary for some patients, in order to optimize both esthetic and functional aspects of dental treatment.The present case report achieved successful implant based oral rehabilitation in a patient with  absence of the right maxillary central incisor utilizing a preprosthetic orthodontic implant site preparation for the purpose of space gain.

Congenital erythropoietic porphyria (CEP) is an extremely rare disorder involved in chronic porphyrias. One of the recommended evaluations to determine disease severity and needs of a person with CEP is dental assessment. Objective: To present a case of CEP and its oral rehabilitation. Case Report: A 32-year-old female patient was admitted to the clinic with hyperkeratinization, skin fragility, fissures, and wounds in her perioral region and hands. Intraoral gingival bleeding, mucogingival stress, and missing teeth were recorded. After medical consultation, phase I and II periodontal therapies were performed. The patient expressed satisfaction of the results of the procedures in terms of the parameters evaluated. The rare occurrence of the disease may delay the diagnosis. An unmet need still exists for multidisciplinary orientation of patients with CEP. Conclusion: Dentists should have and follow guidelines for treating patients with CEP.

The replacement of missing teeth utilizing dental implants and digital dental technologies has gained significant popularity in daily clinical practice over the last decade. Partially dentate patients present more anatomical references to guide the implant position and prosthetic reconstruction as compared to completely edentulous arches. Therefore, the management of edentulous maxilla using implant digital dentistry represents a challenging clinical situation where a thorough treatment plan is paramount to achieve a final prosthetic result that meets both functional and esthetic requirements. This case report discusses the oral rehabilitation of an edentulous maxilla and partially dentate mandible using a digital workflow for both the surgical and prosthetic phases of the implant therapy. Protocols for clinical assessment, treatment planning, and restorative management are described to provide a predictable and prosthetic-driven treatment for implant-supported prostheses.

ABSTRACT Hypodontia is the most prevalent craniofacial malformation in mankind. It may present a wide variety of manifestations and, depending on the number and location of missing teeth, it may affect the esthetics, mastication, speech and occlusal balance. This paper discusses the therapeutic approaches to solve this condition, describing a case report with hypodontia of one mandibular lateral incisor, which treatment option included space closure at the region of hypodontia associated with composite resin restorations in the mandibular central incisors. The three-year follow-up after treatment revealed occlusal stability, adequate intercuspation in Class I relationship and excellent micro and macroesthetics.

Resin bonded fixed dental prosthesis offers most conservative and cost-effective option with missing teeth in aesthetic zone specially when an implant prosthesis is not indicated. This case report describes a treatment option for the replacement of a missing maxillary central incisor using a double-retainer resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD), fabricated from zirconium dioxide (ZrO) ceramic. No clinical complications were observed at follow-up examination after placement of the prosthesis. Satisfactory functional and aesthetic results were achieved. A treatment modality using a ZrO ceramic RBFPD is an alternative for single anterior tooth replacement.
