Evaluation of the effectiveness of aminophthalhydroside in the complex treatment of patients with recurrent genital herpes was carried out. The efficacy of the drug was assessed by clinical, biochemical, and immunological criteria. The inclusion of aminophthalhydrazide in the complex therapy of patients with recurrent herpesvirus infection led to an earlier relief of clinical manifestations of the disease, an increase in the relapse period, a decrease in lipid peroxidation products in the blood plasma, an increase in the content of antioxidant defense components, and correction of immunological disorders.

Aloe vera contains a phenolic compound that has bioactive activity. Previous research showed that microencapsulation of aloe vera powder with maltodextrin as an encapsulation agent produced instant aloe vera with high antioxidative activity. The problem was the hygroscopic instant caused rapid moisture and oxygen absorption during storage, therefore decreasing the instant aloe vera antioxidative activity periodically. The aim of this research was to evaluate the antioxidative activity stability of instant aloe vera during storage. The processing of instant aloe vera through a reconstituted aloe vera powder with water with a ratio of 1:120 and then added with 2.5% maltodextrin as the encapsulating agent. The solution was then inserted into a spray dryer with an inlet temperature of 130oC, an outlet temperature of 103oC, and the flow rate of the solution is 350.0 mL/h. The resulted instant aloe vera was divided into 15 packs with a weight of 25 g, and each sample was wrapped with polyethylene plastic film with 0.80 mm thickness and then was stored at 25oC with a relative humidity of 75%. The sample was conducted in triplicate. The moisture content, and antioxidative activity that was based on the ability to capture 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical (RSA) and lipid peroxidation inhibition were analyzed every week until the critical condition was achieved at a moisture level of 12%. The research showed that the radical scavenging activity (RSA) and lipid peroxidation inhibition of instant aloe vera before storage were 16.34±1.22% and 39.33±1.68%, respectively, whereas in the critical condition the RSA was 3.63±0.04% and the lipid peroxidation inhibition was 22.31±0.02%. Based on their antioxidative activity, the appropriate storage time of instant aloe vera was about 12 weeks in polyethylene plastic film of 0.08 mm thickness

The aim of the study was to assess the state of lipid and protein peroxidation in children with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia (UCTD). In this study, 63 children (33 children with UCTD and 30 children without UCTD were recruited and the indicators of lipid and protein peroxidation were measured. The enzymatic, colorimetric method was used to measure the level of total cholesterol (TC). The phospholipids were analyzed by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry using electrospray ionization. Lipid peroxidation was studied by assessing the change of index and the end product of lipid peroxidation, malondialdehyde (MDA), using spectrophotometric method. Protein peroxidation - by the content of carbonylated protein based on 2,4 dinitrophenyl-hydrazones derivatization. The activity of the antioxidant defense system enzymes was assessed by measuring catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). Our study revealed a significant increase of PPO products in the venous blood plasma and LPO products in erythrocytes in children with UCTD. Furthermore, an imbalance of the antioxidant defense system was observed in both blood plasma and erythrocytes membrane.

Changes in oxidative-antioxidant homeostasis is one of the pathogenetic links in the onset and progression of many nosologies, including chronic pancreatitis (CP) and hypothyroidism (HТ), however, data on the development of oxidative stress (OS) with a combination of CP and HP are insufficient, therefore, determining the role of these systems with a comorbid course of these pathologies is an urgent issue of our time. The aim of the work is to study the state of the oxidative and antioxidant system in patients with CP and CP combined with HT.Material and methods. 96 people were examined, including 26 patients with chronic pancreatitis (group 1), 24 patients with hypothyroidism (group 2), 26 patients with chronic pancreatitis on the background of hypothyroidism (group 3), 20 almost healthy individuals (group 4). Evaluation of the oxidative-antioxidant system and lipid peroxidation was assessed by determining the content of malonic aldehyde in blood plasma (MA pl.) And erythrocytes (MA er.), The level of reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase (GP) and glutathione-S-trans-ion (GT). Enzyme activity was calculated per 1 g of hemoglobin (HB).Research results. The analysis of the obtained results revealed clear patterns of changes in the state of the oxidative-antioxidant system and lipid peroxidation in patients with chronic pancreatitis on the background of hypothyroidism. Namely, violation of lipid peroxidation in patients with comorbid pathology, accompanied by an increase in the content of MA er. by 44.87% and the content of MA in blood plasma by 46.42%; oxidative-antioxidant system: decrease in HF in the blood by 51,61%, combined of a compensatory increase in BP - by 48.03% and HT - by 34.76%.Conclusion. Under the conditions of comorbidity of CP and HT, there is a violation of the oxidative-antioxidant system and the state of lipid peroxidation, which is characterized by a significant increase in MA in erythrocytes and MA in plasma against a decrease in glutathione and which complicates the course of the underlying disease, its diagnosis and treatment.
