Role stress was studied in a public sector industry across low, medium and high qualification levels. Role Erosion is the most prominent role stressor across qualification levels but role stress across qualification levels is nonuniform. Inter-Role Distance, Role Isolation and total role stress are stronger in medium qualification, compared with low qualification. Personal Inadequacy is stronger in low qualification, compared with high qualification. Role Stagnation is stronger in medium qualification, compared with high qualification. Self-Role Distance is stronger in medium qualification, compared with low and high qualification levels. Curvilinear relationship between Self-Role Distance and qualification level is hypothesized.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of mindfulness on organizational role stress (ORS) based on the Monitor Acceptance Theory (MAT) perspective.Design/methodology/approachThis study is based on a cross-sectional data analysis collected from 137 employees working at an Indian IT organization located in Bangalore (India). ORS and MAAS scales have been used for measuring ORS and mindfulness, respectively.FindingsOverall, the study findings have indicated a negative relationship (r = −0.588) between mindfulness (M) and ORS. First, both personal inadequacy (PI) and self-role distance (SRD) are found to be predominantly impacted by M, whereas both role erosion (RE) and role overload (RO) appear to be less affected by mindfulness. Second, SRD appears to be the highest ORS sub-dimension among IT employees. Third, building on the extant literature, it can be inferred that “no one size fits all”, ORS is both organization and context specific.Originality/valueThis study pioneers to establish empirical evidence between M and ORS. Training employees on M can help in effectively handling ORS.

Purpose – the purpose of study to determine the impact of inclusive leadership and project success. Psychological empowerment and psychological resilience capacity plays mediating role. Design/Approach/Methodology – data has been collected from 276 Public Sector Development Programs (PSDP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Structural equation modelling was employed busing SmartPLS 3.3.2 and R-studio. This study employs robustness test (curvilinear relationship, Gaussian copula endogeneity test and response-based unit segmentation (REBUS) for homogeneity). Findings – study found the psychological empowerment and psychological resilience capacity significantly mediating between the relationship of Inclusive leadership and project success. Ind addition, study shows complementary partial mediation between the relationships.  Originality/Value – this study addressed two questions which unanswered in prior literature. First, how inclusive leadership enhances the Public Sector Development Programs (PSDP) success? Second, does psychological empowerment and psychological resilience capacity mediates the relationship between Inclusive leadership and project success?

The study explores the impact of length of service and demographic variables on the organizational role stress on the public sector bank employees. The questionnaire employed in this study is Organisational Role Stress (ORS) scale developed by Prof. Udai Pareek (1983) where the length of service, gender, age, education, number of family members and income are independent variables and Organisational Role Stress (ORS) is the dependent variable. The sample for the study consist of 415 public sector bank employees. Simple random sampling is used as a sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Multiple Regression. The results revealed that length of service, age, education, and income significantly impact the organizational role stress (ORS) on the public sector bank employees.

The demand for global integration in the public sector leads to the accountability of State finances. By examination, supervision, which is the cornerstone of the government's economic performance clarification. This has become important in the public sector as well as in the private sector. Such circumstances spur employees in the scope of their organization to improve the effectiveness of its performance so as to ensure the survival of the organization. Once the importance of an oversight, in Indonesia have internal and external controls on the public sector for the effectiveness of the performance of government officials can be achieved. This study aimed to analyze the influence of Independence, roles stress and burnout on the effectiveness of the task of Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) as an internal auditor. The population in this study were all BPKP auditors in Central Java, the technique of sampling using random sampling and the sample size used in this study were 64 auditors. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and interviews, while the method of data analysis using multiple regression analysis. From the results of the study can be concluded that: Independence has a positive influence, burnout, role excess, and role conflict negatively affect the effectiveness of the auditor's work, the vagueness of the role in this study did not give a significant effect on the effectiveness Abstrak Tuntutan integrasi global dalam sektor publik mengarah pada akuntabilitas keuangan Negara.

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of affect on satisfaction, both at the between- and the within-person level for momentary assessments. Affect is regarded as an important source of information for life satisfaction judgments. This affective effect on satisfaction is well established at the dispositional level, while at the within-person level it is heavily under-researched. This is true especially for momentary assessments. In this experience sampling study both mood and satisfaction scales were administered five times a day for 7 days via hand-held devices ( N = 74 with 2,122 assessments). Several hierarchical linear models were fitted to the data. Even though the amount of between-person variance was relatively low, both positive and negative affect had substantial effects on momentary satisfaction on the between- and the within-person level as well. The within-person effects of affect on satisfaction appear to be more pronounced than the between-person ones. At the momentary level, the amount of between-person variance is lower than in studies with longer time-frames. The affect-related effects on satisfaction possibly have a curvilinear relationship with the time-frame used, increasing in intensity up to a point and then decreasing again. Such a relationship suggests that, at the momentary level, satisfaction might behave in a more stochastic manner, allowing for transient events/data which are not necessarily affect-related to affect it.
