Structural vibration analysis is used to suppress unwanted vibrations in many areas such as aerospace engineering, manufacturing, defense, automotive, etc. As a result of suppressing the unwanted vibration, the quality of the product is improved. Focusing on the minimization of the vibration amplitudes via a concept of receptance, a new and efficient method for calculating the receptance of a translational mass-spring-damper system with N masses and M absorbers (where N and M are any positive integer) is developed. The receptance of the combined system, in terms of the parameters of the main and absorber systems is derived, separately. The optimal parameters of the absorbers are then found. A methodology is derived using dynamic stiffness and linear graph representation in order to verify the dynamic stiffness, i.e., the inverse of the receptance, of the system.

This paper proposes a simple regression-based method for reducing the complexity of decisions in the international procurement process. Based on foreign trade data, the method uses indicators, which allow a product specific cross-section and longitudinal-section valuation of the international competitiveness and the supplied product quality of all potential supplier countries. The method thus provides a variety of information for procurement departments, including the present level and the dynamic of competitiveness and product quality for the potential supplier countries within every product group of the international product nomenclature (Combined System and the Harmonised System). Potential supplier countries --the companies of which have proven to be particularly competitive in the different product quality stages-- are identified. This pre-selection of countries enables the companies to limit their search for potential suppliers to the selected supplier countries. High search costs are subsequently reduced and trend prognoses can be constructed.

A virtual router model with a static and dynamic resource reconfiguration for future internet networking was developed. This technique allows us to create efficient virtual devices with optimal parameters (queue length, queue overflow management discipline, number of serving devices, mode of serving devices) to ensure the required level of quality of service (QoS). An analytical model of a network device with virtual routers is proposed. By means of the mentioned mathematical representation, it is possible to determine the main parameters of the virtual queue system, which are based on the first in, first out (FIFO) algorithm, in order to analyze the efficiency of network resources utilization, as well as to determine the parameters of QoS flows, for a given intensity of packets arrival at the input interface of the network element. In order to research the guaranteed level of QoS in future telecommunications networks, a simulation model of a packet router with resource virtualization was developed. This model will allow designers to choose the optimal parameters of network equipment for the organization of virtual routers, which, in contrast to the existing principle of service, will provide the necessary quality of service provision to end users in the future network. It is shown that the use of standard static network device virtualization technology is not able to fully provide a guaranteed level of QoS to all present flows in the network by the criterion of minimum delay. An approach for dynamic reconfiguration of network device resources for virtual routers has been proposed, which allows more flexible resource management at certain points in time depending on the input load. Based on the results of the study, it is shown that the dynamic virtualization of the network device provides a guaranteed level of QoS for all transmitted flows. Thus, the obtained results confirm the feasibility of using dynamic reconfiguration of network device resources to improve the quality of service for end users.

As human occupancy has an enormous effect on the dynamics of light, flexible, large-span, low-damping structures, which are sensitive to human-induced vibrations, it is essential to investigate the effects of pedestrian–structure interaction. The single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) mass–spring–damping (MSD) model, the simplest dynamical model that considers how pedestrian mass, stiffness and damping impact the dynamic properties of structures, is widely used in civil engineering. With field testing methods and the SDOF MSD model, this study obtained pedestrian dynamics parameters from measured data of the properties of both empty structures and structures with pedestrian occupancy. The parameters identification procedure involved individuals at four walking frequencies. Body frequency is positively correlated to the walking frequency, while a negative correlation is observed between the body damping ratio and the walking frequency. The test results further show a negative correlation between the pedestrian’s frequency and his/her weight, but no significant correlation exists between one’s damping ratio and weight. The findings provide a reference for structural vibration serviceability assessments that would consider pedestrian–structure interaction effects.

This paper presents a new time-domain DQ (differential quadrature) method for structural vibration analysis. It adopts differential quadrature method both in space domain and in time domain on the basis of governing partial differential equation and initial-boundary value condition of vibration problems of structures, and gets new differential quadrature linear equations with complete initial-boundary value conditions for solving all parameters of the displacement-field. The examples in this paper show the time-domain differential quadrature method is a useful and efficient tool for structural vibration analysis.

Using a hybrid linguistic approach to model numerical images in the form of time series using probabilistic grammars based on hidden time series and implement information technology to build sets of linguistic models and their hybrids that describe the dynamics of selected time series of processes of different nature. In the article the results of computational experiments are considered, the quality of forecasting of time series of diverse nature at various parameters was proved. The goal of the current research is to provide empirical evidence of the suitability of using a hybrid linguistic approach for predicting time series.Experimental way to find the optimal parameters of the algorithm. The algorithm was applied to a variety of time series (social, medical, financial and economic), calculated the statistical accuracy of the forecast. Experiments have shown that the algorithm consistently performs the forecast of values in a range of 3-4 steps forward and forecasts the trend change by 3-5 steps.

This research is a study of the turning process by testing with brass material. There are three control factors: spindle of speed, feed rate, and depth of cut respectively. The turning process requires variable control, affect the quality of production productivity and production costplanning an experiment with the Taguchi Method help in theexperiment the analysis of variance, orthogonal array, and signal and noise ratios were considered as an experiment and survey of brass turning characteristics to determine the lowest material removal rate. The results obtained from the experiment were used to repeat the experiment for confirmation. This requires the turning process to be reliable and optimized

On the basis of the system approach, the analysis of the basic technologies of the intelligent electric power system that provide adaptive management of the electric network is carried out. The expediency of their application for adaptive power quality management in electric networks with traction load by expanding the functions is shown. The variants of their configuration are proposed to improve the quality of electricity and ensure optimal parameters of electricity quality indicators.

With the interest to reuse and recycle the wastewater for technological use, this project aims to test the treatment of wastewater from poultry slaughterhouse industry from three main sections of the poultry slaughtering process, defeathering, eviscerating and cooling processes. The samples for the project were obtained from Izhevskoe a Kazakhstani company. The technology used is a combination of electrocoagulation, ultrafiltration, and photochemical system and its goal is to provide treated water that can be re-utilized in the poultry industry for sterilization of technical equipment without contaminating and affecting the quality of the poultry products. The treatment of wastewater samples lasted in total for 40 min. From the results, it was found that indicators such as BOD, COD, and phosphates had removal efficiency of almost 100%, while the microbiological colonies were all eradicated from then wastewater making the treated water microbes free. Hence, proving this system to be effective for the treatment of poultry slaughterhouse wastewater and safe for technological reutilization.
