AbstractThis research is about a very important issue in higher education; itŽs about the time it takes for college students to obtain their professional degrees; specifically focuses on the career of Engineering in Systems in the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo; analyzes eighteen years with 856 graduates during this period, 181 students obtained the Systems Engineering with an average of 10.05 graduates per year,  and 675 students earned the title of Engineering in Computer Systems, with an average of 37.5 graduates per year. A research on this subject enables higher education institutions, students and their families have a real vision of the time in the university, also to identify problems and establish corrective measures aimed at effective curriculum evaluation in order to decrease the actual time required for graduation and optimization of the professional training costs.

The research was developed from 2018 with the aim of generating a model that sustainably facilitates the linking and management of knowledge in the university. A bibliographic review on successful linkage models was carried out to contrast with the experiences in the UTP, in addition, a survey was applied to consult the main actors involved in the linkage and knowledge management system. From the analysis of the surveys, the model was designed to manage the knowledge generated in the Faculty of Computer Systems Engineering (FISC) with the potential that the implementation can be replicated in other faculties. The model allows visualizing the opportunities generated by knowledge management not only for students, but also for the Faculty, the UTP, the State and Society.

Southernpeas, Vigna unguiculata, are a popular vegetable in the southeastern United States. Southernpeas (cowpeas) are widely known by the many different horticultural types, i.e., blackeye, pinkeye, purple hull, cream, cowder, etc. `Elegance' was widely tested under the designation Ark 96-918. It was entered in the Regional Southernpea Cooperative Trials from 1997–2002, where it performed well. It is a root-knot nematode resistant cream that exhibits an upright bush habit with concentrated pod set and good yield potential. The seed are medium size and produce a high quality canned product. `Elegance' is unique in the fact that it is a purple hull cream with the pods turning from dark green to purple when the seed reach the green mature stage. The second release, Ark 98-348, is a selection out of `Chinese Red' that is less viney and has a more concentrated pod set and maturity than the `Chinese Red' types that are commercially grown. It was tested in the observational Regional Southernpea Cooperative Trials from 2000–02. In trials at the University of Arkansas Vegetable Substation, it outyielded industry standard `Chinese Red' types Ark 93-640 and 93-641, by 30%.

‘Florida Beauty’ (PPAF) is a new strawberry cultivar released by the University of Florida and commercialized in 2017. This cultivar was originally evaluated as breeding selection FL 12.121-5. ‘Florida Beauty’ originated from a 2012 cross between Queensland Australia selection 2010-119 (female parent) and ‘Florida Radiance’ (male parent). It has been tested over several years in field plots at the University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC) in Wimauma, FL, at the Florida Strawberry Growers Association (FSGA) headquarters in Dover, FL, and on several commercial farms. Data from these trials have been used to generate the following information and recommendations to help growers obtain optimum performance of this cultivar in west-central Florida. Comparisons are made to the current industry standard cultivars ‘Florida Radiance’ (Chandler et al. 2009) and Sweet Sensation® ‘Florida127’ (Whitaker et al. 2015) (hereafter referred to as ‘Florida127’).

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are configurable enterprise-wide information system packages that integrate information and information-based processes within and across functional areas in an organization. They have been widely adopted in many organizations and accepted as a de facto industry standard for the replacement of legacy systems. This paper analyzes and presents the costs and benefits of ERP systems for project-based industries, which  have lagged behind other major industries in adopting ERP systems due to their project-centric nature and the high stakes involved in ERP implementation. The challenges during the process of ERP implementations are also identified as part of the effort to understand the implied costs of an ERP system. The evidence of the costs and benefits are drawn from previous studies and the analysis of the prevailing working practices in project-based firms. The classification of the costs and benefits constitutes a cost and benefit taxonomy which can be used to enable executives in project-based firms to make informed decisions on their ERP system investments.

Malware is a harmful programme, which infects computer systems, deletes data files and steals valuable information. Malware can attack personal and organization computer systems. In this paper, the most recent and dangerous types of malware, including CovidLock Ransomware, have been analysed and the most suitable countermeasures of malware have been provided. The purpose of this paper is to suggest manually removing malware through a range of tools. It investigates whether the University of Halabja employees are protected against malware or not and it hypothesizes that the university of Halabja employees are not protected in a great level against malware attacks. A questionnaire has been conducted and analysed. The results of the questionnaire confirmed that the university of Halabja employees are not crucially protected. Therefore, it works to propose a sufficient way to make the whole organization protected. This research can be extended to include public and private universities across Kurdistan region in order to identify the most secure university in this region against malware attacks.

The objective of this work is to present the research that was carried out with the students and faculty of the Academic Divisions of Networks and Telecommunications and Computer Systems, where the didactic resources and learning strategies were identified, which are used for academic advising with students in the subject of programming and networks. The investigation that was applied was of quantitative type, a questionnaire in Google drive with closed response questions was used as an information gathering instrument and the sample that was taken was about the students enrolled in the second and third semester. Where it was identified that 90.6% of students and 100% of teachers would like the incorporation of videos as a strategy for understanding a specific topic. Derived from the result obtained, Vodcast was designed as a didactic resource that strengthens the learning and professional skills of the University Higher Technician (TSU).
