A novel universal current-mode filter with three inputs and one high imedance output is presented. The proposed circuit uses four plus-type second-generation current-conveyors, grounded resistors and grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit enjoys low active and passive sensitivities and independent control of the parametersω0/Q0using grounded resistors.

In this paper, a new first-order current-mode (CM) universal filter employing two dual output second-generation current conveyors (DO-CCIIs), one resistor and a grounded capacitor is proposed. The proposed filter has low input and high output impedances; thus, it can be easily connected with other CM circuits. It can simultaneously realize first-order low-pass (LP) and all-pass (AP) responses and can provide high-pass (HP) response with interconnection of LP and AP responses. It can be tuned electronically by replacing with dual output second-generation current controlled conveyors (DO-CCCIIs) instead of DO-CCIIs and removing the resistor. It has only a resistor but no capacitor connected in series to X terminal of DO-CCII; accordingly, it can be operated at high frequencies. Also, it does not need any critical passive component matching conditions and cancellation constraints. A number of simulation results based on SPICE program are included to exhibit performance, workability and effectiveness of the proposed filter configuration.

In this paper, a current-mode quadrature oscillator using second-generation current conveyors (CCIIs) is presented. The proposed oscillator consists of two CCIIs, two grounded capacitors and two grounded resistors. The circuit is suitable for integrated circuit implementation by using grounded capacitors. In addition, a new current-controlled current-mode quadrature oscillator using two current controlled second generation current conveyors (CCCIIs) and two grounded capacitors can be obtained by replacing CCIIs and resistors series at X terminals with CCCIIs. The condition of oscillation and frequency of oscillation can be orthogonally controlled. The frequency of oscillation can be controlled by grounded resistors and external bias currents. The proposed circuits have been simulated by SPICE simulations. The simulation results are confirmed the proposed theory.

A new universal active current-mode filter with single input and five outputs is presented. The proposed filter avoids the use of feedback in any part of the circuit and uses only one type of second-generation current-conveyors, grounded resistors, and grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit can simultaneously realize lowpass, highpass, bandpass, allpass, and notch biquadratic filter functions.

A universal active biquad based on the dual-output second-generation current-conveyor (CCII±) is presented. The circuit uses only six CCII± and can, simultaneously, support three mixed-mode transfer functions and five current-mode transfer functions. The circuit uses grounded resistors and capacitors and enjoys independent grounded-element control of the filter parameters.

The paper introduces a new versatile universal biquadratic configuration based on two fully differential second generation current conveyors without need of input matching conditions. The proposed circuit consists of two fully differential second generation current conveyors, four resistors and two grounded capacitors. The proposed biquad configuration provides all five standard filtering responses: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass in voltage-mode, transadmittance-mode, current-mode and transimpedance-mode. The proposed circuit is single-input multiple-outputs type, so all responses are available simultaneously. Moreover, extra inverting amplifier and double-type amplifier are also not required in the proposed circuit for any filtering response. The nonideal and parasitic effects of fully differential second generation current conveyor on the proposed circuit have also been investigated. HSPICE simulation results have been incorporated to validate the proposal.

A configuration for realizing low input and high output impedances current-mode multifunction filters using multiple output second-generation current conveyors (MOCCIIs) is presented. From the proposed circuit configuration, first-order allpass, highpass, lowpass and second-order allpass, notch, bandpass filters can be obtained. The simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis.
