Abstract Some rapid statistical tests give (a) rapid answers on how well methods agree and control chart evaluation (sign and run tests) and (b) evaluation of distribution of test results (Tukey's quick test and run test). These tests mainly require counting of data and the use of the given nomograms. An unusual distribution of patient test values—that is, unusual when compared with the generally observed distribution of the data seen in a particular laboratory—may indicate laboratory error, alteration of specimens (as from poor collection and/or storage techniques, such as evaporation), or an unusual patient population.

This article proposes a morphogenesis interpretation of the zeta function by computational approach by relying on numerical approximation formulae between the terms and the partial sums of the series, divergent in the critical strip. The goal is to exhibit structuring properties of the partial sums of the raw series by highlighting their morphogenesis, thanks to the elementary functions constituting the terms of the real and imaginary parts of the series, namely the logarithmic, cosine, sine, and power functions. Two essential indices of these sums appear: the index of no return of the vagrancy and the index of smothering of the function before the resumption of amplification of its divergence when the index tends towards infinity. The method consists of calculating, displaying graphically in 2D and 3D, and correlating, according to the index, the angles, the terms and the partial sums, in three nested domains: the critical strip, the critical line, and the set of non-trivial zeros on this line. Characteristics and approximation formulae are thus identified for the three domains. These formulae make it possible to grasp the morphogenetic foundations of the Riemann hypothesis (RH) and sketch the architecture of a more formal proof.

Corona discharge characteristics are measured in a corona cage. The difference is found between the q–u curves under double exponential and damped oscillation surges. The behavior of the minor loops is revealed for the q–u curves under positive and negative damped oscillation surges. An extended improvement is made on the traditional approach for modeling of the q–u curves under damped oscillation surges. The extended approach has the capability of describing the complicated trajectory feature of the minor loops. On the basis of the extended approach, an efficient method is proposed for performing lightning surge analysis of overhead lines considering the corona effect. In the proposed method, an overhead line with corona is divided into a certain number of line segments. Each segment is converted into a circuit unit consisting of a non-linear branch and a linear circuit. With these circuit units connected in sequence, a complete equivalent circuit is constructed for the overhead line with corona. The transient responses can be obtained from the solution to the equivalent circuit. Then, the calculated results are compared with the field test results on a test overhead line.

Coal gasification process and equipment feasibility research were carried out in a 2 MW thermal input pressurized spout-fluid bed pilot-scale gasifier and a long-time-run test was performed to study the effects of operating parameters on coal partial gasification behaviors. The test results have demonstrated the feasibility of the gasifier to provide suitable fuel gas and residual char for downstream system of 2G PFBC-CC. The concentration of methane decreased at higher gasification temperature due to the secondary cracking of methane while the carbon conversion increased, and the concentration of hydrogen increased with an increase of steam flow rate. The main experimental results were compared with those of pilot-scale facilities in the world.

The article presents the current performance capacity in 11–15 year old Dutch adolescents who participated in an incremental cycle test (n = 509) and or in a shuttle run test (N = 1,198). Cycle test results increased significantly with age in both genders, also after normalization to body weight. Shuttle run test results increased significantly with age only in boys. Compared with previous data, the absolute performance capacity in the cycle tests was comparable to data from 15 years ago, whereas the performance capacity normalized to kg body weight and the shuttle run test results seem to be fairly lower compared with the former data.

Purpose: Knowing the best alpha value from the data for each type of drug with various alpha parameters in the Double Exponential Smoothing Method and knowing the prediction results on each type of drug data at the Condong Catur Hospital pharmacy.Design/methodology/approach: Applying the Double Exponential Smoothing method with alpha parameters 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.4; 0.5; 0.6; 0.7; 0.8; 0.9Findings/result: The test results on a system built using test data show that the double exponential smoothing method provides accuracy below 20% by producing a different Alpha (α) for each type of drug because the trend patterns in each drug sale are different at the Pharmacy at the Condong Catur Hospital. .Originality/value/state of the art: Based on previous research, this study has similar characteristics such as themes, parameters and methods used. Previous researchers used smoothing methods such as Double Exponential Smoothing in predicting stock / sales of goods

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the 5-minute run test and the incremental treadmill run test in assessing aerobic capacity. Twenty subjects participated in this study. The maximum oxygen uptake was estimated by the 5-minute run test and directly measured by the incremental treadmill run test. Correlations were computed by the SPSS Pearson procedures. Linear regression analysis was utilized to predict the 5-minute run test scores based upon the incremental treadmill run test results in determining maximum oxygen uptake. Significant relationship was found between two tests in assessing maximum oxygen uptake. Simple linear regression showed that running velocity in 5-minute run was a significant predictor for maximum oxygen uptake measured in the incremental treadmill run test. To conclude, the 5-minute run test was valuable to predict maximum oxygen uptake.本文旨在探討兩種評估有氧能力的測試:「五分鐘跑測試」和「遞增負荷跑台測試」之關係。是次研究共有二十位受試者參與,在實驗室進行遞增負荷跑台運動測量其標準的最大攝氧量,用「五分鐘跑測試」來推測和評估其最大攝氧量,所得的資料以相關和直線回歸法分析,從而探求「五分鐘跑測試」和「遞增負荷跑台測試」之關係。研究結果顯示兩種評估有氧能力的測試有密切的關係;此外,研究員利用五分鐘平均跑速推算出最大攝氧量的回歸方程。
