The Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonylhydrazone are described. It has been found that the ligand can coordinate to metal ion as a monobasic bidentate chelating agent and it can form di- and trinuclear complexes while acting as a dibasic tetradentate one. The structure of the isolated complexes have been suggested on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR spectroscopy and conductivity measurements. The complexes are all formulated as four-coordinate. Some complexes showed enhanced antimicrobial activity relative to the free ligand.

Four new ʻupper rimʼ azocalix[4]resorcinarene have been synthesized by coupling calix[4]resorcinarene with different diazotized aromatic compounds of sulphanilic acid, anthranilic acid,o-aminophenol andp-aminobenzoic acid. The prepared compounds were characterized based on m.p., elemental analysis, FT-IR,1H-NMR. These dyes have been used for the dyeing of textile fibres like cotton and wool. Their fastness properties such as fastness to sunlight, water, washings, and perspiration have also been studied. The synthesized dyes have been employed for computerized colour strength determination through colour matching with known standards. Their L, A*, B*values as well as the colour difference values such as ∆L, ∆A*, ∆B*, ∆C and ∆H have also been reported.

Oxocyanotungsten(IV) complexes, (Ph3P)2NH2[WO(CN)3L–L]. 3H2O and Cs[WO(CN)3L–L].H2O (where L–L = morpholinobenzyl benzamide (MBB), piperidinobenzyl benzamide (PBB), piperidinobenzyl urea (PBU), piperidinobenzyl thiourea (PBTU), morpholinobenzyl urea (MBU) and morpholinobenzyl thiourea (MBTU)) were synthesized. The complexes have been prepared by the reaction of K3Na [WO2(CN)4].6H2O with morpholinobenzyl urea and related ligands in aqueous solution around pH of 7-8. These have been isolated as bis(triphenylphosphine)iminium or cesium salts. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H NMR, UV-Vis spectra, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements and TGA/DTA studies.

Preparation of the hydrochloride salt of a new potentially hexadentate ligand precursor P,P,P′,P′-tetrakis(o-hydroxyphenyl)diphosphinoethane dihydrochloride (abbreviated H4P2O4•2HCl) is described. From H4P2O4•2HCl, neutral [Re2O2Cl2(PPh3)2(μ-P2O4)] and dianionic [Re2O2Br4(μ-P2O4)]2− dinuclear rhenium(V) complexes were synthesized. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and 1H/31P{1H} NMR spectra. 31P{1H} NMR revealed that only one isomer, presumably the anti, was present for [Re2O2Cl2(PPh3)2(μ-P2O4)], and that two isomers, both anti and syn isomers, were observed for [Re2O2Br4(μ-P2O4)]2−. The coligands (PPh3 for the former, Br− for the latter) of both complexes underwent ligand exchange with pyridine. Key words: rhenium, P,P,P′,P′-tetrakis(o-hydroxyphenyl)diphosphinoethane, dimer, isomers.

Nucleophilic substitution of 3-chloro-5-cyano-2-pyrazinecarboxamide by substituted anilines afforded substituted 3-arylamino-5-cyano-2-pyrazinecarboxamides I-X. The structures of compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, UV, IR and 1H NMR spectra. The assessment of in vitro antimycotic and antimycobacterial activities of the compounds was carried out. The highest antituberculotic activity against M. tuberculosis in this series was shown by 3-anilino- 5-cyano-2-pyrazinecarboxamide (I), whose efficacy was the same as that of pyrazinecarboxamide.

The guanidine derivative N-{[(7-(4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-2-(p-tolyl)-6,7-dihydro-2H-imidazo[2,1-c][1,2,4]triazol-3(5H)-ylidene)amino](phenylamino)methylene}benzamide (3) has been obtained by the reaction of one measure of N-{[7-(4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-2-(p-tolyl)-6,7-dihydro-2H-imidazo[2,1-c][1,2,4]triazol-3(5H)-ylidene]carbamothioyl}benzamide (2) with one measure of aniline in the presence of mercury(II) chloride and triethylamine in anhydrous dimethylformamide. The structure of product 3 was confirmed by 1H and 13C-NMR, infrared spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.

Product quality control is a prerequisite for ensuring safety, effectiveness, and stability. However, because of the different strain species and fermentation processes, there was a significant difference in quality. As a result, they should be clearly distinguished in clinical use. Among them, the fermentation process is critical to achieving consistent product quality. This study aims to introduce near-infrared spectroscopy analysis technology into the production process of fermented Cordyceps powder, including strain culture, strain passage, strain fermentation, strain filtration, strain drying, strain pulverizing, and strain mixing. First, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to measure the total nucleosides content in the production process of 30 batches of fermented Cordyceps powder, including uracil, uridine, adenine, guanosine, adenosine, and the process stability and interbatch consistency were analyzed with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) fingerprinting, followed by the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with partial least squares regression (PLSR) to establish a quantitative analysis model of total nucleosides for online process monitoring of fermented Cordyceps powder preparation products. The model parameters indicate that the established model with good robustness and high measurement precision. It further clarifies that the model can be used for online process monitoring of fermented Cordyceps powder preparation products.
