In any given year, educators are inundated with innumerable products and processes that promise to advance the academic or social-emotional development of their students. Publishers often describe the great potential benefits of implementing a new approach or process yet often do not discuss how to sustainably implement in a way that fits the specific context. Thoughtful program implementation and evaluation remain essential to ensuring success, especially when a district or school decides to take up the challenges of becoming a trauma-informed school, an innovation with myriad strategies and programs that, when implemented and evaluated with intention, can make a meaningful impact on students, staff, and families. Using the phases of implementation, this chapter discusses the importance of program evaluation and lays out a framework to support district and school efforts in the transformative process of becoming a trauma-informed system.

A conceptually new approach to fabricate a robust ternary structure is introduced for light harvesting devices. An interesting photophysical mechanism of the ternary blend in a real device is highlighted where FRET strongly contributes to the performance enhancement of the device.

This paper presents the results of a magnetometer survey and initial archaeological excavations of Macassan and Indigenous features conducted at the Anuru Bay Macassan trepang processing site. The archaeology of this area is complex, containing both material reflecting the Indigenous utilisation of coastal resources and the periodic visits of the Macassan trepangers from Indonesia. Despite a history of archaeological investigations on Macassan period sites (i.e. Clarke 1994; McKnight 1976; Mitchell 1994), geophysical survey has not previously been applied as part of these investigations. While Macassan sites may contain features amenable to conventional archaeological geophysics (such as iron trepang processing pots), additional potential exists for the application of magnetometry to locate features created through burning, as has been applied to Australian Indigenous sites (Bonhomme & Stanley 1985; Fanning et al. 2009; Moffat et al. 2008 & 2010; Stanley & Green 1976; Wallis et al. 2008) and international Indigenous sites (Abbot & Frederick 1990; Batt & Dockrill 1998; Jones & Munson 2005). The results of this study demonstrate that this approach is equally applicable to Macassan sites, opening up a new and potentially fruitful avenue for exploring the archaeology of this trade system.

Tool operation circumstances are mainly responsible for tool wear. These circumstances data can be captured by machine integration and combined with production planning data. The combination of data and the data analysis in smart services allows reasoning of tool wear. Premature wear due to wrong settings or human error can be avoided. Additionally the tool wear data can be used to bill customer based on the actual wear according to a pay-per-use system.
