In this work, a series of 2-(1H-benzo[d]thiazole-2-yl)-N-arylbenzamides is synthesized by using diethyl phthalate, anilines and 2-amino-benzenethiol by one-pot three component synthesis in glycerol medium. Phosphoric acid is used as an effective reagent for this one-pot three component reaction. This reaction got completed in a short time, easy workup and gave an excellent yield in glycerol medium. The N-arylbenzamides was found to have significant cytotoxic potentials against various cancer cells viz., A549 (lung cancer), HeLa (cervical cancer) and MCF-7 (breast cancer) using MTT assay. The molecular docking study is also employed to understand the binding mechanism of N-arylbenzamides against the antibacterial target. The docking result shows the binding energy of compound 4a is -8.6 kcal/mol. The binding affinity is a major concern and it shows that Asn and Thr residues have an interaction with compound 4a.

Thiamine stimulates the production of a red pigment , which is chromatographically and spectrophotometrically identical to prodigiosin , by growing cultures of serratia marcescens mutant 9-3-3 . this mutant is blocked in the formation of 2- methyl -3- amyl pyrorol( MAP),the monopyrrole moiety of prodigiosin , but accumulates 4-methoxy-2, 2-bipyrrole -5- carboxaldehyde (MBC) and can couple this compound with( MAP) to form prodigiosin . Addition of thiamine caused production of( MAP) , and as little as 0.02 mg of thiamine / ml in peptone- glycerol medium stimulated production of measurable amounts of prodigiosin. Phosphate saltes and another type of peptone decreased the thiamine- induced formation of prodigiosin ,yeast extract and glycerol enhanced formation of this substance. Thiamine also enhanced production of prodigiosin by wiled – type Strain Nima of S. marcescens . The pyrimidine moiety of thiamine was also 10% as effective as the vitamin ; the thiazol moiety only 4% , and the two moieties together , 25% . Thiamine did not stimulate production of prodigiosin biosynthesis as strain 9-3-3 . This is not surprising since strain 9-3-3 originated as a result of two mutational events one event may involve thiamine directly , and the other may involve the biosynthesis of( MAP).

This paper presents investigations on the new experimental setup for obtaining a compact cluster of monodisperse bubbles of a given diameter is presented. Also we provided the results of experimental study of the bubble cluster floating-up in the presence of a surfactant in a wide range of Reynolds numbers. There was held a comparison of the dynamics of the floating-up of a monodisperse bubble cluster in a glycerol medium and in the medium glycerin supplemented with a surfactant.

A 50% glycerol medium affected the activation of plasminogen by streptokinase (SK) and the activity of plasmin (formed by glycerol incubation) on p-toluene-sulphonyl-L-arginine methyl ester (TAMe) in the following ways:(1) TAMe interfered strongly with the activation of plasminogen by SK in a glycerol medium but not in a water medium under the same conditions.(2) SK inhibited the action of plasmin on TAMe in a glycerol medium, but in a water medium SK increased the rate of hydrolysis of TAMe, the extent of the increase depending upon pH.(3) Phosphate buffer inhibited the activation of plasminogen by SK in a glycerol medium but not in a water medium. In the glycerol medium a lag period in the formation of enzyme was found, particularly noted with a phosphate buffer, and the lag period increased with increasing concentration of the buffer.(4) Phosphate buffer inhibited the action of plasmin on TAMe in a glycerol medium but not in a water medium.Mechanisms of activation of plasminogen by SK are discussed. The data presented support the postulate that a reaction takes place between plasmin and SK to form an enzyme called "activator".
