Often, investments from emerging economies in firms in industrialized countries evoke concerns among the employees in the targeted firms. Many of them are afraid of losing their jobs, or fear that the new owners could undermine existing social standards. Up to now, little is known about how such investments affect industrial relations in targeted countries. Using the example of investments from the BRIC-countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) in German firms, this paper analyses whether employees’ fears are well founded. To this end, four different factors are considered. These include: (1) the situation of the target firms in the run-up to an acquisition and the employees’ reactions to the takeover, (2) the investors’ knowledge of the current system of industrial relations, (3) the day-to day interactions with the new owners, and (4) the patterns of communication between works council representatives and the new owners. The empirical part of the article is based on an analysis of quantitative data as well as the application of problem-centered interviews with members of work councils, trade union representatives as well as managers.

Introduction. Article reviews the current state and key aspects of financial policy in higher education and it’s innovative development in Ukraine. Through education institutions achieved increase of social standards, needs and increase welfare, increase the competitiveness of the state as a whole. Purpose. The purpose of this paper is to determine the characteristics of the development strategy of financial policy of innovative development of higher education and finding ways to improve its implementation. Results. The article deals with the importance of an innovative approach to the development of financial strategy in higher education. The ways to improve the effectiveness of the financial policy of innovative development of higher education are defined. Today an important form of state regulation of the economy is macroeconomic planning and forecasting. Conclusion. Innovative development of higher education is the foundation of economic growth of the economy and improvement of social standards. The financial policy of the state in this area is aimed, ultimately, to ensure the welfare of all members of society. Achieving high rates of innovation in the field of higher education facilities by building efficient system of economic mechanisms of financing. Important direct result of providing innovative educational services not only to order the state or the employer, but also on the personal needs of citizens in their development. The level of education is a key factor the ability of the workforce to adapt to new conditions, increase overall efficiency, etc.

This article continues the theme of social standards assimilation and values relating to the visual appeal, starting from a very early age. The authors use the multifactor psycho-social model of affective spectrum disorders. They consider the risk factors for the formation of girls’ dissatisfaction by their bodies. In contemporary society this kind of dissatisfaction is an important factor of affective disorders and of the narcissistic attitudes formation. The role of fashion dolls in the internalization of extreme physical ideals is researched. The resources that support the fashion dolls (entertainment magazines for girls, ad sites, special channels’ reviews on the dolls’ younger schoolgirls posted in You Tube) are analyzed. These resources’ contribution to the promotion of dangerous to young generation’s mental and physical health is also analyzed in the article.

La instauración de la Reforma, en el siglo XVI, provoca un cambio drástico en los rituales funerarios a raíz de la transformación radical de las creencias sobre el más allá: la desaparición del Purgatorio y la salvación o condena del alma inmediatamente después de la muerte. Los ritos deben ser simples y el lugar de la sepultura indiferente, como lo estipula también la ley francesa; por lo tanto, los funerales se reorganizan en función de las normas sociales y de la voluntad de preservar la pertenencia a la comunidad.Abstract: The advent of the Reformation in XVIth century brings a total upheaval of funeral rites due to a radical change of the belief in the hereafter: disappearance of Purgatory, salvation or damnation of the soul immediately after death. Rites must be austere and burial’s site makes no difference, as stipulated also by French legislation. Therefore, burials are reorganized according to social standards, and to the will to continue belonging to the community.Résumé : L’avènement de la Réforme, au XVIe siècle, a provoqué un bouleversement total des rituels funéraires chez les protestants, en raison d’une transformation radicale des croyances sur l’au-delà : disparition du Purgatoire, salut ou damnation de l’âme tout de suite après la mort. Les rites doivent être simples et le lieu de sépulture indifférent, ce qu’exige aussi la loi française. Les funérailles se réorganisent donc en fonction des normes sociales et de la volonté de préserver l’appartenance à la communauté.

Prior research stresses the importance of consumer participation in service coproduction. We examine the coproduction of aesthetic services, which are services in which beauty is a critical outcome. Consumers face challenges communicating their aesthetic tastes because of technical constraints that are understood by service providers but that consumers do not fully understand. To fill this gap, consumers do aesthetic work in communities of practice. Service providers also face challenges, as they must coproduce with consumers whose aesthetic tastes are formed amid shifting social standards. In this qualitative study, we highlight aesthetic work as a different type of consumer work that involves developing cultural competence. We identify four types of aesthetic coproduction in which cultural competence is distributed differently within the service dyad: aesthetic codesigning, aesthetic consenting, aesthetic yielding, and aesthetic reigning. We explore the managerial implications that arise as consumers increasingly use online social resources that shape and increase aesthetic expectations. We examine the unintended consequences of aesthetic service coproduction in which providers’ technical and aesthetic expertise is difficult for consumers to understand often leading to disappointing outcomes.
