ABSTRACTThe low frequency noise of individual ZnO nanowire (NW) field effect transistors (FETs) exposed to air is systematically characterized. The measured noise power spectrum shows a classical 1/f type. The noise amplitude is independent of source-drain current and inversely proportional to gate voltage. The extracted Hooge's constant of ZnO NW is found to be 6.52×10−3. In addition, the low frequency noise of ZnO NW according to NW resistance and contact property are investigated. The noise amplitude is proportional to the square of ZnO NW resistance. If a sample shows a nonlinear current-voltage (I-V) characteristic due to a poor electrical contact, the noise power spectrum is proportional to the third power of current instead of the square of current.

Abstract: Polyaniline nanoparticles is synthesized by chemical oxidation of aniline by copper sulphate. Chemical reduction of silver nitrate by sodium citrate yileds silver nanoparticles. Both aforesaid nanomaterials are mixded with polyvinyl alcohol to get nanocomposite gel. Nanoparticles are characterized by ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy. Schottky diode is made by applying nanocomposite with copper wire on one side of aluminium foil and on other side attaching copper wire for another electrical contact. Current-voltage electrical characterization is analyzed by making simple circuit encompassing polyaniline/silver nanocomposite diode. In this work, we present a wearable sensor patch for the early detection of extravasation by using a simple, direct printing process. Interdigitated electrodes are printed on a flexible film, which can be attached to skin. The electrodes are integrated with a top electrode to form a flexible pressure-sensing device utilizing an electrical contact resistance (ECR) variation mechanism. The detector possesses good sensitivity and a low detection limit for pressure variation. By adjusting the printing parameters, sensors of millimeter size can be fabricated and allow the potential for multiple detection points in a large area. In addition, by using silver nanowire inks, the sensor becomes nearly transparent to prevent patients’ panic. The possibility and feasibility of this device for early extravasation detection is also evaluated.
