In this article, CsPbI2Br perovskite thin films were spin-coated on FTO, on which CuPc was deposited by thermal evaporation. The electronic structure at the CsPbI2Br/CuPc interface was examined during the CuPc deposition by in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) measurements. No downward band bending was resolved at the CsPbI2Br side, whereas there is ~0.23 eV upward band bending as well as a dipole of ~0.08 eV identified at the molecular side. Although the hole injection barrier as indicated by the energy gap from CsPbI2Br valance band maximum (VBM) to CuPc highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) was estimated to be ~0.26 eV, favoring hole extraction from CsPbI2Br to CuPc, the electron blocking barrier of ~0.04 eV as indicated by the offset between CsPbI2Br conduction band minimum (CBM) and CuPc lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) is too small to efficiently block electron transfer. Therefore, the present experimental study implies that CuPc may not be a promising hole transport material for high-performance solar cells using CsPbI2Br as active layer.

Effects of methyl green (MG) dye on the optical properties of polystyrene (PS) have been studied. Pure polystyrene and MG doped PS films were prepared by using casting method. These films were characterized using UV/VIS spectrophotometer technique in order to estimate the type of electric transition which was found to be indirect transition. The value of the optical energy gap was decreased with increasing doping ratios of methyl green dye. Absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, refractive index and energy gap have been also investigated; it was found that all the above parameters affects by doping dye.

Abstract Here we report a novel nanocomposite composed from Mg-doped NiO and Mg-doped\MWCNT using a facile sol-gel method. The synthesized Mg-doped NiO and Mg-doped\MWCNT nanocomposite was characterization by XRD diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV–Vis spectrophotometer. The X-Ray analysis revealed that the formation of nanocomposites, which has a cubic phase and a high crystalline nature. The FE-SEM images confirmed the success of decoration the 6%Mg- doped NiO on the surface of the treated MWCNT through the emergence of spherical shapes over the cylindrical tubes. Conversely, optical measurements reveal that the energy gap value for the Mg-NiO and the Mg/NiO-MWCNT nanocomposite are 3.28 and 2.82 eV, respectively. This indicates decreasing the zone between conduction band and valance band. Moreover, it found that Mg doped NiO\MWCNT nanocomposite showed high removal efficiency towards the lead element compared with the Mg-doped NiO. Also, MTT test was employed to study antitumor activity against MCF-7 and WRL68 cells. Our results showed that the Mg doped NiO-MWCNT had cell viability of 66.7 and 71.9% against MCF-7 and WRL68, respectively. Whereas, Mg-doped NiO sample showed cell viability of 70.2 and 71.9% against MCF-7 and WRL68, respectively.
