Structure of bainite in Cu-Al and Cu-Zn-Al alloys has been reported as 3R, 9R or 18R long period stacking structure (LPS) by X-ray and electron diffraction studies. In the present work, a Cu-25.5 (at)% Al alloy sample was heated at 900°C for 2 h then isothermally held at 450°C for 60 s before quenching into iced brine. FIG.1 shows a TEM bright field image of bainite plates (marked B) grown from grain boundary. The parent phase ( with DO3 structure ) has transformed to martensite (marked M ) during cooling from 450° C to 0°C. Both bainite and martensite plates have dense striations inside.Careful diffraction study on a JEOL 2000FX TEM with accelerating voltage 200 KV revealed (FIG.2) that the diffraction patterns contai_ning the same zone axis [001] ( hexagonal index ) or [111]c ( cubic index ) are from a bainite plate with obtuse V-shape. They are indexed as [010], [140], [130], [120], [230], [340] and [110] zone pattern for hexagonal system respectively.

Structure and physiognomy of mangrove strongly influenced by the zonation that occurred in the area of mangroves growth. The differences of zona growth will effect  to differences in the structure and composition of vegetation. There are three zones in the mangrove area, which is caused by the difference of flooding which also resulted in the difference to the salinity. The differences of growth zone will performed to the type vegetation performance (Physiognomy). This study is aims to prove the mangrove’s physiognomy that taken in the coastal area of Rempang Cate  Batam, on March 2014 to June 2014. This study was a survey with data collection using a vertical transect plots 100 m. Based on the research that has been done obtained difference vegetation physiognomy stands for every level of growth in each zone growth. Proximally found 13 species of mangroves in 8 families. The results of the analysis of the vegetation on the trees growth level are, Ceriops decandra have the greatest significance important value 167.55% on sapling (juvenille ) level is dominated by Rhizophora apiculata 120%, and seedling growth level dominated by Rhizophora apiculata  186.80%. Keywords: Structure and physiognomy, mangrove zonation

An urgent problem is the search for substances that can provide a protective effect in cases of DNA synthesis and repair disorders that arise as a result of side effects of cytostatic drugs used in the treatment of cancer. The aim of this work was to study the effect of 20 encoded amino acids in the presence of Cyclophosphane on the development of organotypic culture of rat liver tissue. The results obtained indicate that Cyclophosphane; which simulates the action of such cytostatic substances; inhibits cell proliferation in the liver tissue. It was also found that the encoded amino acids: asparagine; arginine; and glutamic acid; eliminate the inhibitory effect of Cyclophosphane in liver tissue culture. The growth zone of explants after combined exposure to Cyclophosphane (whose isolated action suppressed the growth zone) and these amino acids increased significantly and reached control values. Thus; the experimental data create the basis for the development of methods for the therapeutic use of the three studied amino acids for the removal of side effects in the treatment with cytostatic drugs.

Foam flooding is an effective method for enhancing oil recovery in high water-cut reservoirs and unconventional reservoirs. It is a dynamic process that includes foam generation and coalescence when foam flows through porous media. In this study, a foam flooding simulation model was established based on the population balance model. The stabilizing effect of the polymer and the coalescence characteristics when foam encounters oil were considered. The numerical simulation model was fitted and verified through a one-dimensional displacement experiment. The pressure difference across the sand pack in single foam flooding and polymer-enhanced foam flooding both agree well with the simulation results. Based on the numerical simulation, the foam distribution characteristics in different cases were studied. The results show that there are three zones during foam flooding: the foam growth zone, stable zone, and decay zone. These characteristics are mainly influenced by the adsorption of surfactant, the gas–liquid ratio, the injection rate, and the injection scheme. The oil recovery of polymer-enhanced foam flooding is estimated to be 5.85% more than that of single foam flooding. Moreover, the growth zone and decay zone in three dimensions are considerably wider than in the one-dimensional model. In addition, the slug volume influences the oil recovery the most in the foam enhanced foam flooding, followed by the oil viscosity and gas-liquid ratio. The established model can describe the dynamic change process of foam, and can thus track the foam distribution underground and aid in optimization of the injection strategies during foam flooding.

The incidence, age at onset, and progression of the biochemical, radiographic, and histologic characteristics of renal osteodystrophy were studied in 50 children in whom chronic renal failure had been recently diagnosed. During a ten-year observation period, 19 patients progressed to end-stage renal failure and radiographic signs of renal osteodystrophy developed in 15 of these (79%). Renal osteodystrophy developed in all nine patients whose chronic renal failure was diagnosed before 3 years of age and in six of the ten children with later onset of failure. The mean interval from diagnosis of renal failure to development of osteodystrophy was 1.4 years. Radiographically, growth zone lesions predominated in the younger children, whereas cortical erosions were more prevalent in the older children. Histologic examination, performed in 38 patients, showed both defective mineralization and excessive resorption and was a more sensitive diagnostic index than radiography. Noticeable deformities developed in one third of the patients with osteodystrophy, despite medical treatment including vitamin D2 therapy. Deformities were particularly frequent and Severe in patients whose renal failure developed in infancy. In all 13 patients whose growth patterns were studied before and after osteodystrophy developed, the onset of bone lesions was associated with a deterioration of growth, indicating that osteodystrophy plays a major role in causing the growth retardation commonly observed in children with chronic renal failure.
