Revised policies, faculty training resolve noncompliance concerns

In this study, the authors used a mixed-method approach to analyze user-generated comments on social mobile learning from three leading news sites that report the latest development in higher education. Koole’s mobile learning model was used to code comments made by the public on the three news sites. Results showed that social mobile learning has gained an increasing public engagement in the past four years. Responders’ discussion in the comments primarily focused on four themes of social mobile learning: technology adoption, effective design, faculty training, and student training. In the end, the authors discussed the implications for developers and educators and concluded with recommendations for future research in social mobile learning using user-generated comments.

Abstract: The formulation of this study is review the influence of functional training planners to the quality planners, the influence of work motivation to the quality of planner, and the influence of functional training planners and motivation to work together to the quality of Bappenas planners. The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The sampling technique is using proportionate stratified random sampling with a number of sample sizes of 137 people. Furthermore, the data obtained, processed and analyzed with SPSS 19.0 for windows Program by performing statistical test, those are the t test and F test. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive influence between functional training planners to quality planners, work motivation to quality planners, and the influence of the two together to the quality planner. The dimension of functional training planners that have an influence to the quality of planners is the management and faculty training. In addition, the study is also found that the dimension of work motivation which has an influence to the quality of planners is the need for achievement and the need for power. Keywords: Training, Work Motivation, Quality Planner Abstrak: Perumusan penelitian ini mengkaji besarnya pengaruh diklat fungsional perencana terhadap kualitas perencana, pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kualitas perencana, dan pengaruh diklat fungsional perencana dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama terhadap kualitas perencana Bappenas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perencana di Bappenas tahun 2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling dengan jumlah ukuran sampel 137 orang. Selanjutnya, data yang diperoleh, diolah dan dianalisa  dengan bantuan program SPSS 19.0 for windows dengan melakukan uji statistik yaitu uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara diklat fungsional perencana terhadap kualitas perencana, motivasi kerja terhadap kualitas perencana, dan pengaruh keduanya secara bersama-sama terhadap kualitas perencana. Dimensi diklat fungsional perencana yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas perencana adalah pengelolaan dan tenaga pengajar diklat. Selain itu, penelitian juga menemukan bahwa dimensi motivasi kerja yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas perencana adalah kebutuhan akan prestasi dan kebutuhan akan kekuasaan. IntroductionSimulation instructor training courses are infrequent in low-resource countries. PediSTARS India organisation has been conducting a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop annually since 2014 and has trained 380 instructors in the last 6 years. The objective of this study is to evaluate this workshop using the basic Kirkpatrick model with a blended evaluation approach.MethodsA qualitative study design was used with purposive sampling from the 2018 workshop cohort. An initial online questionnaire gathered demographic and professional profile of participants. Semistructured interviews with those who consented explored their perceptions about the workshop and their experiences using simulation for training at their workplaces. The analysis was done based on a deductive research approach around the framework of the first three levels of the Kirkpatrick model.ResultsA total of 11 in-depth interviews were conducted. Participants reported long-term retention, translation and positive impact of the knowledge and skills gained at the TOT workshop. The results achieved saturation and underwent respondent validation.ConclusionThis study provides evidence to support simulation faculty training workshops as an effective educational intervention in promoting simulation-related workplace-based education and training among health practitioners and that follow-up activity may be useful in some cases. This is the first study of its kind in a low-resource setting, and supports similar simulation instructor training in these settings and provides a blueprint for such training. Follow-up studies are required to evaluate the longer term impact of this simulation instructor training.
