The paper presents results of mycological research carried out in the “Torfowisko Toporzyk” nature reserve (NW Poland), in the years 2004–2009. As a result of the studies, 216 fungal species were identified, 17 Ascomycota and 199 Basidiomycota. Twenty of the recorded species are included on the Polish red list of macrofungi, e.g. Cortinarius violaceus, Lactarius lacunarum, Mycena megaspora and Suillus flavidus. Among the plant associations, Vaccinio uliginosi-Pinetum (87 species) and Vaccinio uliginosi-Betuletum pubescentis (77), turned out to be the richest in fungi, whereas the fewest taxa were found in Rhynchosporetum albae (8).

The paper presents the Grifola frondosa distribution in the central part of the General Dezydery Chłapowski Landscape Park. 14 fruit bodies of the species were found developing on 8 specimens of Quercus robur, located in rural parks, tree belts along roads and tree alleys.

The subject of the investigation was the lichen biota along road No 190 from Margonin to Wągrowiec (about 20 km). The field studies were conducted on 30 randomly chosen sites, situated 500-1.000 m apart from each other. In each of them the lichens were collected from 4-6 trees on either side of the road, and from other habitats: concrete poles, fallen branches and the soil. Presence of 61 taxa was stated, among them 18 under legal protection and/or endangered in Poland. They include Cladonia mitis, Collema auriforme, Evernia prunastri, Melanelia exasperatula, Opegrapha rufescens, O. varia, Parmelina tiliacea, Peltigera canina, Pertusaria coccodes, Phaeophyscia chloantha, Physcia aipolia, Physconia distorta, Pleurosticta acetabulum, Punctelia subrudecta, Ramalina farinacea, R. fraxinea, R. pollinaria and Xanthoparmelia verruculifera. The above mentioned species, the most valuable from the point of view of nature protection, tended to concentrate around Margonin. On a old lime alley close to Wągrowiec the lichen biota was poor, and only the most common taxa (Hypocoenomyce scalaris, Lepraria incana, Phaeophyscia orbicularis, Trapeliopsis flexuosa and Xanthoria parietina ) were identified there. It may be related to higher air pollution in the vicinity of the town of Wągrowiec. Notably, old trees, even when growing along quite busy roads, may still host protected and endangered lichens in the prevailing open, agricultural landscape of Wielkopolska.

Preliminary studies on medicinal and poisonous plants of Połczyn-Zdrój and the surrounding area were conducted in 2015. These studies showed the presence of 69 species, including highly toxic species such as: Datura stramonium L., Convallaria majalis L., Aconitum variegatum L. and Papaver somniferum L.

The paper presents the list of fungi taxa, which were discovered in the area of the Adam Mickiewicz University Morasko campus in Poznań. The investigations were conducted in the years 1979–1980 and 2002–2018. All plant formations (fragments of forests, afforestations, shrubs, swards, meadows, lawns and patches of synanthropic vegetation) were penetrated. In total, 261 species of macrofungi were found. Some of them were collected only in the first period of investigations.

The paper presents the results of mycological research carried out in the manor Małkocin park (NW Poland) in the years 2008–2009. During 35 observations, 200 species of macromycetes (mainly Basidiomycota – 172 species) and four Myxycomycota have been recorded. Among them, 11 species are included on the red list of macrofungi in Poland. The participation of macrofungi was analyzed in bioecological groups of saprotrophic, mycorrhizal and parasitic fungi. In addition, the comparison of the Małkocin park with other rural parks of Poland is discussed.

The paper presents the results of phytosociological research on the thermophilous oak forest Potentillo albae-Quercetum Libbert 1933 nom. invers., which has been carried out in the central part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. The association, which has been stated in 7 localities, is a new type of forest vegetation in this region. On the basis of 35 relevés, made in 2001 following the Braun-Blanquet method, the only subassociation P.a.-Q. brachypodietosum pinnati has been distinguished. It has been divided into two variants: with Pleurozium schreberi (on acid sites), and with Asarum europaeum (on basic ones). The investigated phytocoenoses abound in floristic peculiarities, such as: Adenophora liliifolia, Bupleurum longifolium, Euphorbia angulata, Festuca amethystina ssp. ritschlii, Lilium martagon, Potentilla alba.

Field studies on anthropogenic psammophilous swards of the Sileno conicae-Cerastion semidecandri alliance were carried out in the years 2015–2016 in the area of the Adam Mickiewicz University Morasko campus in Poznań, Poland. As a result of a classical table analysis of phytosociological data, five associations were distinguished. The relevés have been arranged with the use of PCA and CCA ordination methods to study the overall variability of the examined communities and their position along some environmental gradients. In the paper, issues concerning successional dynamics and the synsystematical position of swards of the studied type, are also raised.
