National Policy Programming: A Prototype Model from Language Planning**Research reported in this chapter was carried out under the auspices of the Committee on Irish Language Attitudes Research, consisting of scientists appointed by the Minister for Finance, Republic of Ireland. Lilyan A. Brudner was project Director, and Douglas R. White, Deputy Director and Research Methodologist. Although Brudner and White authored preliminary drafts of the interim and main drafts for the committee (1974, 1975), any interpretations of the research results in this chapter are solely the responsibility of the authors and not the committee.
