Circular RNA (circRNA) is a novel regulatory non-coding RNA and participates in diverse physiological and pathological processes. However, the structures and molecular mechanisms of circRNAs remain unclear. In this study, taking advantage of openly databases and bioinformatics analysis, we observed lots of internal complementary base-pairing sequences (ICBPS) existed in plenty of circRNAs, especially in extremely long circRNAs (el-circRNAs, > 5,000 nt). The result indicated that circRNA may not be a simple circular structure. In addition, we put forward the hypothesis of “open-close effect” in the transition for specific circRNA from normal state to morbid state. Taken together, our results not only expand the knowledge of circRNAs, but also highlight the potential molecular mechanism of circRNAs.

On Friday, September 9, the prosecutor and defense summarize the case. The judge is expected to instruct the assessors the next day. Georgiadis says the assessors must consider whether Bill caused Peppy’s death, whether it was an unlawful act or omission, and whether there was malice aforethought. Georgiadis hammers away at the inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case, the failure to show any motive, and the overbearing weight of the defense medical testimony. Prosecutor Effiwat argues that the diary demonstrates Bill’s morbid state of mind, the eyewitness accounts must be believed, Dr. Dockeray’s testimony must be discounted since he is unregistered in Tanzania, and there is no reasonable explanation for why Bill had brought the pipe to the picnic.

Objective: The present study was undertaken to compare the efficacy of herbal drugs, Diaroak® and Salcochek® (M/s Ayurvet Limited), against antibiotic drugs in the treatment of calf diarrhea. Methods: 15 calves suffering from diarrhea were divided into 3 groups: T0,receiving ciprofloxacin (250 mg) and tinidazole (300 mg) twice daily for three days, T1, receiving 15 gm Diaroak twice daily till recovery, and T3, receiving 15 gm Salcochektwice daily till recovery. The parameters evaluated included average number of doses required for complete recovery, total number of animals completely recovered per group, number of animals in morbid state per group, mortality recorded per group, frequency of defecation per group, presence or absence of mucus in feces along with appetite of animals, and incidence of diarrhea and mortality during post-treatment period. Results: Complete recovery was seen in all the treated animals with no recurrence. After recovery, animals treated with herbals had better consistency of feces than those treated with antibiotics. Conclusions: Herbal anti-diarrheals Diaroak and Salcocheck can be used for treating non-specific diarrhea in calves.

Purpose: to determine specific features of bio-geometric profile of posture and physical fitness of students in process of physical education. Material: 250 students were tested. Video-recording and analysis of bio-geometric profile of human posture were fulfilled. Program Torso was used for this purpose. Results: it was found out that only 15.2% of students had correct posture. The most quantity of posture abnormalities was detected in 36.4% of the tested. In sagittal plane we observed the following types of abnormalities: round back - in 24.4% of students, slouching back - in 24% of students. We found that 63.3% of students with normal posture are in zone of risk. Low backbone flexibility, mobility of hip joints and elasticity of hamstrings was detected on students. Conclusions: students with unsatisfactory bio-geometric profile of posture (scoliosis posture - 43.33%; round back - 23. 33%; slouching back - 22. 73%) are in the called pre-morbid state of muscular-skeletal apparatus.

Quality of life is a nebulous term that is applied in medicine to assess the impact of disease states on the overall health of affected patients. It is difficult to measure, subject to interpretation based on the relative experiences of those assessing and reporting it, and there are no assessments or tools available to describe or determine the relative contributions of particular disease states and the affected person’s constitution and pre-morbid state or personality to their quality of life.

Preconceito. Nosologia médica. Linguagem. ABSTRACT This paper discusses about Down syndrome in its historical, social and linguistic aspects evidencing the factors which determined the ways of conceiving the syndrome as part of the medical nosology, as a set of signals and symptoms which characterizes “morbid” state of the human organism disregarding the continuum which establishes infinite graduations between what is normal and pathological. The data make visible the medical determinants, the social and historical implications to which the phenomenon known as “mongolism” has been exposed while determinants for the origin of prejudice in relation to the syndrome: devaluation of the subject and valuation of the syndrome and its consequences on the language activity of those children.KEYWORDS: Down syndrome.
