AbstractIn this paper, changes in the content of photosynthetic pigments during the vegetation season in the leaves of Phragmites communis Trin., Salvinia natans (L.) All., Trapa natans L. and Utricularia vulgaris L. in the area of Bardača fishpond (Sinjak pond) were monitored. Physical and chemical characteristics of water are defined in order to determine their association with the content of photosynthetic pigments. The obtained results indicate the specificity in the content of photosynthetic pigments between aquatic macrophytes and significant variations during the vegetation season. The maximum content of pigments was determined in the leaves of the emerged species, while the minimum content was measured in the submerged and floating leaves. The investigated macrophytic species showed a similar trend in the total chlorophyll content during the vegetation period; with two maximums recorded – May and September, while the minimum values were recorded with the senescence process (October). Total chlorophyll and carotenoids were in a negative correlation with temperature, pH, saturation, water transparency and orthophosphate content in water. On the other hand, they were in a positive correlation with the content of nitrates in water. The correlation analysis of the physical and chemical parameters of water quality and the concentration of macrophytes photosynthetic pigments showed a significant influence of certain abiotic factors on the photosynthetic pigments’ content in the leaves of Phragmites communis Trin., Salvinia natans (L.) All., Trapa natans L. and Utricularia vulgaris L.

AbstractPaper deals with seasonal changes in heavy metal bioaccumulation (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and Pb) in Utricularia vulgaris L. and Salvinia natans (L.) All. of two localities (Necik and Sinjak – active fishpond basins) in the area of Bardača fishpond. According to our results, the better accumulator of Fe (3035 mg/kg) and Zn was S. natans (163.55 mg/kg), whereas Utricularia vulgaris better accumulates Mn (620 mg/kg) and Cu (10.18 mg/kg). Amounts of Pb in both investigated macrophyte were below the detection level (<0.51 mg/kg). The values of the bioaccumulation factor (BAC) of the tested metals were >1 or ~1 for both species, and the BAC values decreased in the following order in both investigated species: Fe > Mn > Cu > Zn. The results obtained indicated that tested macrophyte show very good characteristics as bioaccumulators and, thanks to this fact, they could be used in phytoremediation technique successfully in water-polluted ecosystem.

Садржај Fe и Mn анализиран је у води, седименту и ткиву Phragmites communis Trin.,Utricularia vulgaris L. i Salvinia natans (L.) All. на два локалитета на подручју Бардаче (Нецик иСињак – активни рибњачки базени) у периоду мај–октобар. Концентрације микроелеменатаодређиване су атомском апсорпционом спектрофотометријом (ААС) директно из матичнограствора. На основу садржаја Fe и Mn у води, а према Уредби о класификацији вода икатегоризацији водотока, воде на истраживаним локалитетима припадају II/III класи квалитета.Концентрација Fe и Mn у ткиву испитиваних макрофита варирала је у односу на врсту, локалитети период узимања узорака. У погледу садржаја Fe слијед биоакумулације код испитиванихмакрофитских врста на оба истраживана базена опадао је у низу: Salvinia natans > Utriculariavulgaris > Phragmites communis-rizom > Phragmites communis – надземни дио. За Mn редослиједбиоакумулације био је другачији: Utricularia vulgaris > Salvinia natans > Phragmites communis –надземни дио > Phragmites communis-ризом. Резултати добијени у раду указују на различиткапацитет за усвајањем Fe и Mn између испитиваних врста, што може бити од велике важностипри одабиру биљних врста погодних за фиторемедијацију.

Utricularia vulgaris und U. australis sind die Wasserpflanzen des Jahres 2015. Mit ihren Fangblasen haben diese karnivoren Pflanzen einen einmaligen Fangmechanismus entwickelt, der ausführlich beschrieben wird. Standort, Morphologie und Ökologie werden vorgestellt. Unterscheidungsmerkmale zwischen den beiden sehr eng verwandten und ähnlichen Arten werden aufgezeigt.

Abstract Sinkevičienė Z., 2013: Confirmation of Utricularia australis occurrence in Lithuania [Utricularia australis auga ir Lietuvoje]. - Bot. Lith., 19(2): 161-164. Occurrence of Utricularia australis R. Br. on the territory of Lithuania was confirmed by finding it in Lake Kampinis, Varėna district municipality. Morphological differences between similar species U. australis and Utricularia vulgaris as well as species composition of the association Utricularietum australis and accompanying communities are presented and discussed.
