A large number of Asian students are currently studying in the Russian Far East. The vast majority of them are Chinese students. Sociological studies of various aspects of their stay in the Far East are still quite rare. The study of the characteristics and typification of their intercultural interpersonal com-munication with Russian students can contribute to understanding the most optimal ways of their adap-tation in a foreign cultural environment. The present study provides the results of a research conducted by the authors among foreign students at the be-ginning of 2020 in five Far Eastern universities. The study revealed a number of significant shortcom-ings in the organization of educational and extracur-ricular life of Chinese students, which hinder their full immersion in the Russian language environ-ment. The language barrier is the main obstacle in the process of interpersonal intercultural communi-cation between Russian and Chinese students. The study provides recommendations on the proper organization of educational, extracurricular activi-ties, as well as living in a dormitory for Chinese stu-dents, which can help improve intercultural interper-sonal communication between Chinese and Russian students.

This study aims to determine the effect of the level of knowledge and perceptions and inter-personal communication of adolescents on violent behavior in dating relation-ships. This research uses quantitative research methods with a population of adoles-cents aged 15 to 20 years in Petukanangan Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta with a quota sample of 200 respondents. This study also uses theories and concepts related to adolescent perceptions, knowledge, interpersonal communication, and behavior. The results of this study found that there is an influence of knowledge variables, Interper-sonal Communication Variables and Perception Variables on violent behavior in courtship relationships, although linearity does not mean that if knowledge is high about values and norms then violence on dating relationships will be low, if interper-sonal communication is high then violent behavior low, but if perceptions are high then violent behavior is also high meaning personal and situational perceptions influ-ence violent behavior in dating relationships.

The diversity of society today requires people to interact with others who have different cultural backgrounds. The simplest communication can be complicated by nonverbal factors. This study used a pretest-posttest design to deter mine the effect of an intervention treatment consisting of students viewing pictures of people and identifying attrib utes based solely on what they see. Then in groups the students discussed their varying interpretations. The findings were that the treatment made students more aware of nonverbal factors and how they are involved in interper sonal communication.
