This study analyzed Nigeria’s price sector using a formulated model for the price sector of the Nigeria economy. A set of simultaneous equations were used to reflect the implicit gross domestic product deflators for each of the sectors of the Nigeria economy and was found to be over identified under the order condition for identification. The model was estimated by ordinary least square method and two stage least square methods. All the variables have expected signs and as indicated by the F –statistic, the overall performance of the entire regression is significant.  The high measure of R2 and Ṝ2, in each case indicates that the explanatory variables included in the equation jointly account for the entire variation. The small RMSE also indicates that the equations have good fit. Durbin –Watson statistics shows that there is no positive first order autocorrelation. The small value of the Theil’s inequality indicates that the equation has good predictive performance. The researcher therefore recommends that government should employ the model so as to be able to monitor price of each of the sectors of the economy and put proper mechanism in place to control those sectors that affect the overall price sector of the economy.

AbstractThe Mongol Empire is as an early example of the transformative role of mobility, celebrated in the contemporary social sciences. The only way in which the Mongols who by the time of Chinggis Khan numbered less than a million nomads, were able to create and rule their huge empire was by fully mobilizing the resources—both human and material—from the regions under their control. This high measure of mobility fostered robust cross-cultural exchanges in various fields, resulting in a huge expansion of knowledge and connectivity, cultural relativism, and a common imperial culture—political, material, institutional—with regional variants. These developments set the stage for major transformations in world history. The introduction presents the articles included in this special issue, which tackle various case-studies of mobility and transformation while looking at the Mongol Empire in Eurasian perspective, and highlighting the impact of the Mongols’ indigenous culture on the proto-global world of the 13th and 14th centuries.

Globalization, or the worldwide movement towards a high measure of economic, financial, trade, technology and communications integration, is a concept in need of an overhaul. The roots which have rested largely on President Reagan’s economic policy foundations of the early 80’s are wearing off. Free market, deregulation, income and wealth tax cut, reduced government spending and tight fiscal and monetary policies are challenged by events and disruptions. Economic growth vehicles are shifting away from manufacturing and services and locus of economic activity is moving towards China and its environs. Progression towards protective politics in the United States as much as the adoption of Brexit in Britain have hastened the blur.

This paper is to explore the measure of isotropy applied to a 2-DOF revolute spherical serial manipulator. A revolute spherical serial manipulator means that the directions of rotation of the manipulator are intersecting. This manipulator arm will be used for carrying microscope camera as part of the 2-hand master-slave operation with force reflection system for miniature task operation in order to enhance view of vision. The data of the dexterity measure are collected from the computer simulation based on invert kinematics and Jacobian of the manipulator. The results revealed that the design solution of the manipulator has high measure of isotropy for prescribe paths. This result is to confirm that the manipulator can move with in the design workspace smoothly.

At present, the trouble rate of the new crystal dint arm equipped on the new battle plane is very high, we can’t use the dint arm experiment equipments we have now to do function test to it, so we have designed the dint arm intelligence synthesis test system With Embed machinery control as its core, adoption unit wooden blocks type construction, programmed with VB, circulated in WINDOWS98. Those made the automatic apparatus have lots of advantages, such as high measure precision and autoimmunization, good reliability and universal, the machine can be expanded, the software can be enlarged and advanced, the man-machine interface is friendly, it can also be operated simply. By being tested, this machine is well-found, holding advanced techniques and predominant capabilities. It has important significance for improving the fine rate, duty rate and increase combat effectiveness.

Traditional touch measure method has the shortages of easily distorting cigarette filter rod, long measure time, not high measure precision and not online implementing. In order to overcome these, imaging measure technology is used to measure it. Firstly, preprocessing filtering is operated on the acquired image. Then sobel operator is used to detect the edge and binary filter rod target image is obtained through morphological processing after falsehood edge eliminating. After that correlation parameters are gained. Parameters measuring absolute error for two images acquired from the same filter rod under different illumination is 1.848%. Experiment proves that the proposed method can rapidly and correctly measure cigarette filter rod. It can effectively measure filter rod in practice.

To analyze the accuracy in the volume measurement of vertical tank with flowmeter, experiment based on volume measurement device of standard flowmeter method with different flowmeter is made in this paper. The capacity values of different liquid level in tank which are used to fitting and correcting the actual results of continuous measurement are calibrated by standard flowmeter and level gauge. Fitting coefficient can be used to analyze the accuracy of other measurement. Experiment results show that it is feasible to measure the capacity of vertical tank by standard flowmeter with high measure accuracy and small measure error.

Based on the easy testability and high measure precision of structural frequency, a damage identification method for shear buildings is presented. With frequency being regarded as the function of damage parameters, the linear equations with damage parameters as unknowns can be constructed via Taylor expansion. The equations are solved to locate the whole damage location and quantify the severity of the damage. Furthermore, the iteration-self modification is proposed to improve the accuracy of damage identification greatly. The data used in the method include frequency before and after damage. A numerical simulation example using a three-storey sheer structure is given to validate the present method.

Aming at the demand of the filed of missile fuse and other weapon systems, a triaxial high- g piezoresistive accelermeter with double-terminal fixed beam-mass structure which can measure x and y axial acceleration and four-terminal fixed structure which can measure z axial acceleration. The design and simulation were also verified using Matlab and ANSYS, the simulation results show that the sensitivities in the x and y axial can be to 1.41µV/g, the sensitivity in the z axial can be to 0.56µV/g. And the transverse sensitivities of accelerometer in triaxial are eliminated effectively. The results of simulation analysis show that the structure can work with the measure range of 150,000g

A CPLD-based Photoelectric encoder that measures angle and angular velocity was designed aiming at precise requirements on angle and angular velocity measures in photo-electric servo system. Based on the work principle of photoelectric encoder, a segmented velocity-measure algorithm based on different measure time intervals was presented, and the concrete process in the environment of Isplever Project Navigator was detailed described. Finally, DSP processor TMS320F2812 and CPLD chip LC4512V-75T176 were used for verification. The result showed that this circuit has the features of realization-simple, high measure precision and reliability as well as good commonality. It will lay a solid foundation for the realization of photoelectric servo system’s digital control.
