Digitalization of education and its impact on the teaching of foreign languages to students of technical universities

The scientific article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of digitalization of education in the framework of teaching foreign languages to students of technical universities. On the basis of the theoretical study of the informative features of the digitalization processes in the field of education, the authors point out the basic components in the system of digital foreign language teaching for students of technical universities. The article also discusses a number of disadvantages and advantages of the social, psychological, organizational and pedagogical nature of this system, reflecting the relevance of the problem of digitalization of training procedures, as well as the absolute transition to distance learning in the current requirements of the development of higher education.

Experimental and theoretical lifetimes and transition probabilities for spectral lines in Nb II

Aims. We have measured and calculated lifetimes of high lying levels in Nb II, and derived absolute transition probabilities by combining the lifetimes with experimental branching fractions.Methods. The lifetimes were measured using time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence in a two-photon and two-step excitation scheme. The branching fractions were measured in intensity calibrated spectra from a hollow cathode discharge, recorded with a Fourier transform spectrometer. The calculations were performed with the relativistic Hartree–Fock method including core polarization.Results. We report experimental lifetimes of 13 levels in the 4d3(4F)5d and 4d3(4F)6s subconfigurations, at an energy around 70 000 cm−1. By combining the lifetimes with experimental branching fractions absolute transition probabilities of 59 lines are derived. The experimental results are compared with calculated values.

Experimental transition probabilities for 4p – 4d spectral lines in V II

Aims. We aim to measure lifetimes of levels belonging to the 3d3(4F)4d subconfiguration in V II, and derive absolute transition probabilities by combining the lifetimes with experimental branching fractions.Methods. The lifetimes were measured using time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence in a two-photon excitation scheme. The branching fractions were measured in intensity calibrated spectra from a hollow cathode discharge lamp, recorded with a Fourier transform spectrometer.Results. We report lifetimes for 13 levels at an energy around 73 000 cm−1. Absolute transition probabilities of 78 lines are derived by combining the lifetimes and branching fractions. The experimental values are compared with theoretical data from the literature.

Education as "Absolute Transition" in Hegel’s Philosophy of Right

G. W. F. Hegel’s Elements of Philosophy of Right analogizes the unfolding of a people’s political self-consciousness to the unfolding of an education. Yet Hegel is somewhat unsystematic in accounting for how the process of political education unfolds in its differentiated moments. This paper pieces together a more systematic account of political education from Hegel’s scattered remarks on the subject in Philosophy of Right. I argue that, once we understand how political education fits into the holistic picture of Hegel’s Rechtsphilosophie, we see that it exercises both a fortifying and a threatening influence on the state: fortifying the state insofar as it habituates individuality to universality in the form of ethical dispositions such as patriotism, threatening the state insofar as it represents a destabilizing tendency toward democratic judgment in the emergence of public opinion. I conclude by raising the possibility that political education poses an entropic, “democratic” threat to the modern state.

UPDATING THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL RELATIONSHIP TO INFORMATION IN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

The 21st century announces the launch of many changes in getting and giving information. The cyber era requires the ability of managing different skills as well as meaningful integration with the past. In fact, the present deals with the management of multidimensional communications and requires lifelong training and readiness for change. Transliteracy as the ability to write, read and interact across a range of platforms, tools and media, allows the fusion of the cyber era peculiarities with the sense of belonging to the past. It indicates the upgrading of literacy and operates on the level of individual attention. It is anchored in the form of deep learning, regardless of the sense which enabled it to flow. The multidimensionality provides a holistic view of information and a critical elimination of the irrelevant issues. It is also a means by which a teacher can achieve better results in the classroom, if he finds the appropriate channeling of attention. It does not mean the absolute transition into the information society, but only the management of yesterday, today and tomorrow. It means collaboration, management and education for the literacy of the future. Key words: cyber era, deep learning, lifelong learning, transliteracy.
