The article discusses the possibility of keeping a marsh frog in a farm on the territory of central Russia to obtain delicious meat. For this, at different stages of keeping and after spawning, body weight and length, as well as hematological parameters, were studied. During the study, marsh frogs were kept in different conditions, depending on the season of the year, and fed on different foods. During the summer and early autumn, when kept in a summer enclosure in the air temperature range from 15 to 23 °C, when fed with natural food (live invertebrates) and fed with cultivated cockroaches and flour beetle, a positive increase and an increase in weight was observed. Hematological indices were slightly below the conditional norm, but the number of segmented neutrophils and eosinophils in frogs in the aviary turned out to be quite high, since the natural food they consumed could activate antiparasitic immunity. When the frogs were kept in an aquarium at an air temperature of 22 °C and fed only with cultivated food, the distribution of weight gain and plumb weight was approximately equal. After hibernation at 4 °C, the frogs lost a lot of weight and were placed in a special spawning pool. After hormonal stimulation of frogs with a mixture of drugs “chorionic gonadotropin” and “surfagon”, successful spawning was observed with 100% fertilization of eggs, while the plumb line was small and more uniform. A low number of red blood cells and a low hemoglobin were found in the blood. The total number of neutrophils in frogs kept in the pool decreased, and the number of monocytes increased by 3 times, exceeding the conditional norm by half, which may indicate a monocytic-macrophage reaction necessary for the resorption of remnants of reproductive products. There was also a rapid development of a conditioned reflex in frogs to feeding on a floating feeder, which is an important link in the mechanization of frog farms.

The aim of this study was to test an effective nano-pole capsule loaded cis-platinum (CP) transplantation device for liver cancer (LC) therapy. A novel nano-pole capsule was designed as a new vector for storing CP. HepG2 cells and a B6/J mouse model were used to test the efficiency of polyethyleneimine-cis-platinum (PEI-CP) and poly-chitosan-cis-platinum (PC-CP). Infiltration efficiency and transplantation efficiency tests were performed to study the performance of the delivery system, and fibroblast reactions and macrophage numbers were observed, to test for immune rejection and foreign body reactions. The apoptosis rate and tumor diameter of hepatocellular carcinoma cells were used to evaluate the effect of the tumor therapy. We also studied the functional mechanism of different CP delivery systems. The infiltration and transplantation efficiencies of PC-CP were higher than that of PEI-CP; Less foreign body reaction appeared in PC system, with less fibroblast reaction and lower macrophage reaction. The clinical efficacy of PC-CP in terms of tumor apoptosis and diameter reduction was superior to that of PEI-CP. We demonstrated that PC-CP had a more significant alteration effect on mTOR, P-Ak, LC3 and P53. The PC system can better deliver and release drugs than PEI-CP, and may be a better choice for LC therapy in the future.

In the technological processes of oil and gas wells construction, a variety of general-purpose inorganic chemical reagents are used. The ingress of these reagents into the body of drilling enterprises employees together with the inhaled air, ingested food (through the pores and mucous membrane) is currently not sufficiently studied. The work investigated the effect of the Brucite drilling reagent on the lung tissue of rats of the non-linear albino line. With the inhalation of the Brucite drilling reagent to rats, the dystrophic processes were observed in their lungs, which were accompanied by the development of chronic inflammation and an acute macrophage reaction. There was a significant increase in the size of perivascular infiltrates compared to the control (13370 ± 248.6) μm2) with 14-day administration of particles of the Brucite drilling reagent — (14867.21 ± 369.29) μm2, with 30-day administration — 15853, 87 ± 126.57. Also, morphometric analysis showed a significant decrease in the area of alveolar space, and the area of medium-caliber bronchus. In the lungs, the formation of many airless areas was noted, alternating with emphysematous — altered, the severity of which increased with the duration of exposure to the drilling reagent. The consequence of work with Brucite drilling reagent of the drilling enterprises employees can be professional, acute, and chronic diseases of the lungs, as well as specific sensitization of the body caused by the exposure to dust particles. In the future, it is planned to conduct a statistical analysis of the incidence rates with temporary disability, occupational diseases, and occupational poisoning among the employees in contact with the Brucite drilling reagent, and the development of efficient measures to reduce the harmful effects of the Brucite drilling reagent on the certain categories of specialists at the drilling enterprises.

The usage of the principle of optimal management, namely such effects on complicated forms, when the course of the disease is close to that of uncomplicated course of the disease is very promising in drug therapy of patients with generalized periodontitis. The aim is to study the intensity and duration of the phases of wound healing of the mucosa after spontaneous periodontitis surgery accompanied by normo-, hyper- and hyporeactivity of the body by cytological examination of smear-imprints of wound exudate. Materials and methods: The experiments were performed on 24 adult mongrel dogs divided into three equal groups. In the first group, drugs that disrupt the reactivity of the organism were not used (normoreactivity of the organism). In the second group, the animals were simulated a сondition of hyperreactivity, in the third group – the hyporeactivity of the organism. All the animals with spontaneous periodontitis underwent a patchwork surgery. In the period after surgery, cytological examination was performed on the 1st, 4th, 6th and 9th day of the experiment. Results: It has been revealed that in cases of the normal reactivity of the organism the following periods of cellular reactions during the healing of the gums mucous membrane can be differentiated within the appropriate terms: the period of degenerative-inflammatory changes (1st day), active granulocyte-macrophage reaction (4th day), reparations (6th day) and the period of increase of reparative processes with a decrease in the overall cellular response (9th day). Examination of smear-imprints after surgical treatment in animals with spontaneous periodontitis with hyper- and hyporeactivity of the body allowed to identify the same periods of cellular reactions during the healing of the gingival mucosa, as in cases of normoreaction with hyperreation.Tthe intensity and duration of the wound healing phases differed from those which are typical for normoreactivity of the body: granulocyte-macrophage reaction was more pronounced and lasted longer until the 6th day, so later only on the 9th day there were cellular signs of regeneration. With hyporeaction, the intensity and duration of the wound healing phases differed from those which are typical for normoreactivity of the body: granulocyte reaction occurred later (only on the 6th day) and lasted longer, signs of active regeneration appeared later on the 9th day. Therefore, postoperative wound healing in animals with impaired body reactivity was delayed for 3-4 days. Conclusions: Thus, direct medical correction with transforming intensity and duration of the phases of the wound process which are characteristic for impaired reactivity of the body into the phases which are typical for normoreaction is essential. It provides synchronization of necrotic and reparative processes and creates conditions for normal uncomplicated healing of periodontal soft tissues

Aim. To study peculiarities of macrophage reaction and humoral immunity in patients with signs of implant-associated inflammation after the primary endoprosthetics of the knee joint. Materials and Methods. Examination of 48 patients with signs of implant-associated inflammation after the primary endoprosthetics of the knee joints (the main group) and of 44 patients without signs of inflammatory reactions (comparison group) was carried out. Control group involved 30 healthy donors without diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Results. In 1 and 12 months after the surgery, patients of the main group showed elevated levels of the factor inhibiting migration of macrophages (MIF), of macrophage stimulating protein (MSP), class A immunoglobulins (IgA), С3 and С4 complement components as compared to control, and also to each previous period. In 1 month after the surgery, the content of class M and G immunoglobulins (IgM and IgG) decreased relative to control; in 12 months after the surgery a more pronounced reduction was noted. Increase in serum concentrations of MIF, MSP, IgA, С3 and С4-complement components was noted in the comparison group in 1 and 12 months and also in comparison with the previous period. Reduction of the levels of IgM, IgG in 1 and 12 months after the operation was noted in comparison with control and with the previous period. Conclusion. A study of parameters of macrophage reaction, proteins of complement system and the main classes of immunoglobulins permits to identify signs of implant-associated inflammation in 1 and 12 months after surgery, and, consequently, to determine patients of risk groups that require additional diagnostics measures.

The article analyzed treatments results of 76 patients with deep burns. It was stated that magneto-plasma therapy facilitated to the change from an inflammatory type of burn cytograms to regenerative type. These changes were expressed in reducing of neutrophil quantity in wound on the fifth day, decreasing of degenerative changed leukocytes on the tenth day, increasing of phagocytic activity of neutrophils in all terms, growing of macrophage reaction by the fifth day and multiplication of fibroblast quantity in wound on the tenth day. The neutrophil and macrophage quantities were increased in the wound after necrectomy due to influence of magneto-plasmatic therapy on the third day. There was synthesized interleukin-8. The quantity of cells producing IL-8 was reduced on the tenth day.
