The study aimed to analyze the application of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in the surgery of benign and malignant intracranial tumors through improved fuzzy C-means (FCM). First, a method of combining the maximum and minimum distances was proposed to improve the FCM algorithm. Then, the optimized FCM was applied to the diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) diagnosis. The patients were rolled into the benign tumor group and the malignant tumor group, and relevant parameters were compared. Finally, the postoperative total resection rate and disability rate of the DTI experimental group and the traditional control (Ctrl) group were evaluated. It was found that the segmentation accuracy of the optimized FCM algorithm was higher than traditional one and the obtained corpus callosum edge contour was clearer. In 63 patients with intracranial space, there were obvious differences in pairwise comparison of meningioma and glioma, metastatic tumor’s apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value, relative apparent diffusion coefficient (r ADC) value, and relative anisotropy fraction (r FA) P < 0.05 . In terms of the ADC, r ADC, and r FA values of tumor parenchymal area, those of benign tumors were larger than malignant tumors P < 0.05 . The ADC value (8.21 ± 1.87) and r FA value (1.36 ± 0.41) of the contralateral normal white matter area of malignant tumor were greater than the ADC value (7.23 ± 2.31) and r FA value (0.61 ± 0.24) of the peritumor white matter area, with statistically significant differences P < 0.05 . The total cut rates of the experimental group and the Ctrl were 87.5% and 54.84%, and the disability rates were 6.25% and 34.38%. In conclusion, the optimized FCM has high accuracy. The ADC, r ADC, and r FA values of DTI are important in the diagnosis of intracranial tumors. Besides, DTI can improve the survival rate in guiding intracranial tumor resection.

Mango mistletoe (Dendrophthoe pentandra) is a plant that has the potential as a medicinal plant. Mango mistletoe is reported to contain the flavonoids quercetin, mesoinositol, rutin, and tannins. Hypertension as a non-communicable disease is a very serious health problem experienced by people in developing countries. Hypertension can be caused by high ROS (reactive oxygen species) which can inhibit oxygen flow to the heart and brain. Antioxidants can reduce the risk of hypertension. Damage to the brain due to hypertension is manifest in the white matter area. This study aimed to see how the histopathological profile of the brain in hypertensive rats (DOCA-Salt) which were given mango mistletoe methanolic extract (MMME) by experimental method. The number of tested animals was 25 male Wistar rats divided into 5 groups, each group contained 5 rats, they were negative control (Control-) as normotension, positive control (Control+) as inducer, and the treatment group with the provision of MMME at a dose of 50 mg / kgBW, 100 mg / kgBW, and 200 mg / kgBW. Data were analyzed using JAMOVI 1.1.9.0. Based on the results of the study showed that the difference in significant values between all groups was p<0.05. So, that giving EMBM to male rat significantly can decrease the number of cell necrosis and affect the width of the white matter area of the brain. The three dose variations did not show a significant difference, so this effect was controlled by the MMME dose of 50 mg / KgBW which was the optimum dose in reducing the amount of cell necrosis in the white matter area of the male Wistar rat brain.

Our objective was to study the correlation between Diffusion tensor MR imaging (DTI) effect and white matter structural integrity, working memory in leukoaraiosis patients. 100 leukoaraiosis patients referring to the First Affiliated Hospital of Beijing Medical University from December 2018 to December 2019, were selected as study subjects and divided into four groups according to disease severity: lesion-free group, mild lesion group, moderate lesion group, and severe lesion group. All patients underwent magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging to collect DWI images and analyze Fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD), ReHo values of white matter area under different grading. The patients’ working memory was tested via auditory verb learning test and Stroop color word test, so that correlation between white matter structural integrity and working memory can be analyzed. Results: There are statistically significant differences in FA values of the right posterior thalamic radiation, the right sagittal layer and the right superior longitudinal fasciculus, MD values of the right sagittal layer, the right cingulum bundle, the left cingulum bundle, the right inferior fasciculus fronto-occipitalis and the left inferior fasciculus frontooccipitalis, as well as instant recall, delayed recall, delayed recognition, card A (dot), card B (character), card C (color word) and SIE value (P<0.01). Correlation is shown between white matter structural integrity and working memory, gender, age, grading, disease course, recurrence interval, white matter area, and testing methods. There was a correlation between DTI effect and white matter structural integrity, working memory in leukoaraiosis patients, and leukoaraiosis patients have memory impairment.
