Residential security through the Home Assistant Platform

The etymology of the word safety means: lack of danger; feeling of peace and confidence; shelter from any danger; feeling of security. A security system of goods, values and protection of people can be implemented through an automated platform, under the name of Home Assistant. This server software application can communicate with an easy control system for fast and two-way access, which can be mounted to a restricted main entrance. The automatic opening of the access door is controlled both by stand-alone RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) modules, which act on an electric closing mechanism, and by an automation system configured in the Home Assistant application. The ultimate goal is the security of the premises through a system that can operate both locally and online via internet connection. The research methodology was based on the study of intelligent applications for residential access, described in the literature, aiming at integration into the open-source HA platform, by developing new code sequences. I come with this paper in support of those who want to bring an improvement in the existing automation system, respectively to encourage those who want an automated residence at a higher level.

Design and Construction of Additional Security Device for House Door Using Arduino Uno Based on Short Message Service

Security is a very important aspect of a house. The level of protection and comfort of the house certainly cannot be separated from how good the security system of the house is. The door is used for the main entrance and exit of the house. When the owner of the house is inside, the door can be locked from the inside with the addition of a slop lock on the door. However, if the owner of the house leaves, the door is only locked using a regular key without any additional keys on the inside of the door. So that the door of the house can be opened only by "lockpick" by an irresponsible person. Such problems can be prevented by installing additional security devices on the door of the house that can be controlled to lock the inside of the door and can provide early warning to homeowners through SMS (Short Message Service) notifications on cell phones. The components used in this system are Arduino Uno microcontroller, Servo Motor, Vibration Sensor (SW-420), Buzzer, Magnetic Switch MC-38, and GSM SIM800L V2. The prototype worked well and reach the research’s objective.

ANALISIS ESTETIKA FORMALIS VISUAL DESAIN INTERIOR RESTORAN OURA, MALANG, INDONESIA

Perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat Indonesia yang gemar bersantap di luar rumah saat ini menjadi salah satu faktor pendorong berkembangnya industri restoran. Salah satu restoran yang cukup menarik adalah Oura yang terletak di Kota Malang dengan bangunan yang didominasi oleh material semen ekspos dan banyak menerapkan bukaan yang cukup lebar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan nilai estetika pada interior restoran Oura berdasarkan prinsip dan unsur desain sesuai dengan teori estetika formalis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh interior restoran Oura, sedangkan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah area main entrance, ruang makan 1 dan ruang makan 2 yang terletak di lantai dasar restoran Oura. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data oleh Miles & Huberman dengan menggunakan teori estetika formalis visual desain interior dan pendekatan elemen desain interior oleh Francis D.K. Ching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga sampel memenuhi nilai estetika formalis, yaitu: (1) Unsur desain (garis, bidang, terang-gelap, bentuk, warna, tekstur, pola), (2) Prinsip dan asas desain (kesatuan, keseimbangan, irama, skala/proporsi, penekanan). Dalam penerapannya, terdapat kesamaan pola estetika pada ketiga ruang yang diteliti, yaitu penggunaan warna, bidang, tekstur, material dan pola. Bidang geometris dan pola garis yang berulang banyak diterapkan di setiap ruang yang diteliti. Selain itu, Oura juga banyak menggunakan material semen ekspos pada dinding dan ceiling ruangan. Penggunaan unfinished material seperti semen ekspos merupakan bagian dari tren desain interior restoran yang berkembang belakangan ini sehingga penerapannya dapat menarik minat konsumen untuk datang.

A Study on the Installation of Facilities for People with Disabilities in Dental Institutions of Chungbuk, South Korea

To maintain the oral health and ability to smoothly receive dental treatment of people with disabilities, their accessibility to dental institutions must be enforced. Hence, this study aimed to assess the status of installation of convenience facilities for people with disabilities in dental institutions in Chungbuk Province, South Korea. According to the checklist based on installation items for convenience facilities for people with disabilities, 245 dental institutions in Chungbuk Province were visited and investigated to examine whether they had installed internal, intermediary, sanitary, and information-related facilities for people with disabilities. Inputs were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Frequency analysis by item was conducted to determine the rate of installation, and Fisher’s exact test was performed to analyze the actual state of installation according to the type of institution. The results revealed a relatively higher rate of appropriate installation and access routes to the main entrance and parking spaces for people with disabilities in terms of intermediary and internal facilities, but at times they were installed at inappropriate locations or lacked proper signboards. The state of installation of convenience facilities by institution type was 0–1.3% per item at the clinic level but 75–87.5% per item in general and dental hospitals (p < 0.001). Insufficient government management and supervision at clinic-level dental institutions lead to limited scope for regulating the installation of convenience facilities. Better laws, with continued support and supervision of central and local governments, are needed to resolve this issue.

COVID-19 Prevention Behavior on Online Transportation Drivers in Samarinda, Indonesia

Introduction: The numbers of COVID-19 sufferers in various countries are continuing to increase, including in Indonesia. COVID-19 has a wide impact, including on the online transportation service sector. Since 2015 in Samarinda City, there has been an online transportation service, namely Gojek Indonesia, which provides services to customers in the form of shuttle passengers, food delivery, and other necessities, including goods delivery services. The online transportation driver group is one of the groups at high risk of transmitting COVID-19. Objective: This study aimed to obtain information about COVID-19 prevention behavior including driver's knowledge of COVID-19, perceptions, and customer service on online transportation drivers in Samarinda. Methods: This study used a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. The informants in this study were selected as many as 5 people. The Gojek at Cendana Street was chosen because it is the main entrance and exit route of tourists in Samarinda. The data technique was an interview and used qualitative data analysis. Results: COVID-19 is a respiratory disease. Drivers considered that COVID-19 is a dangerous disease, frightening, and causes excessive panic in the community because of its rapid spread and risks to all groups of people, including online transportation drivers. Serving customers remains a priority even though they understand the risk of contracting COVID-19. Efforts to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 carried out by Gojek drivers including using masks, washing hands with flowing water and soap, or hand sanitizer, also cleaning helmets or replacing them with spare helmets. Conclusion: The transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented by behaving cleanly and healthy also prioritize the prevention of transmission of COVID-19, such as wearing masks while doing activities, keeping passenger helmets clean, and washing hands after serving customers.
