This study aimed to develop a guideline concerning the care directed toward an individual with an intestinal and/or urinary ostomy attending the Assistance Service for Ostomized Patients implemented at the Clinical Hospital of Uberlândia UFU, in order that such individuals be provided the means of self-care and thus improve their life quality. A bibliographical survey was performed on the theme, which focused on Guidelines Based on Evidence. The development of these guidelines was based on a bibliographical survey and took as its foundation the principles of Orem’s self-care theory and the educational practices applied to pedagogy in health according to Paulo Freire's philosophy concerning liberating education, qualification and dialogue between the subject and the professional, which grants the possibility of aiding the family and patient to modify their lifestyles and be the agents of transformation, thus favoring the development of their autonomy. The printed educational material brings new information and knowledge to the ostomized patient.

This paper deals with the printed educational material, created to accompany as study guide the videotape: " our geological heritage- Itinerary to geotopes of Macedonia and Thrace, in Northern Greece", IGME 1997 production. This printed document aims on the one hand, to support the videotape in order that the later, becomes interactive and flexible, while on the other gives the opportunity to candidate student of this independent educational cycle to be trained without the physical presence of educator. It is addressed to distance learning students of geosciences or environment or in persons interested in geology and geological heritage, as well as teachers dealing with environmental education, in tourist guides, land use planners etc. There is no ambition to prepare specialists in geology with this. It simply aims to help in understanding that rocks and subsoil are integral part of the natural world and contain significant information for the past of the Earth, our past. It also aims to help in understanding some meanings of geoconservation, the relevant new terminology of this concept, and to create a communication code with the specialists in order to facilitate the cooperation. The videotape, half an hour duration, aims to give the necessary images and script.

Resumo: Este artigo identifica e cataloga os materiais didáticos elaborados para o curso de Pedagogia das IES integrantes do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB). O objetivo da investigação foi analisar os materiais impressos elaborados para o curso de pedagogia ofertados nas universidades integrantes do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil, e a partir de elementos considerados como significativos na produção de materiais para cursos na modalidade a distância. Sendo uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, os resultados apresentam-se relevantes, quando se investiga a possibilidade de desenvolvimento de novos materiais didáticos ou da elaboração de parâmetros que busquem uma unificação, sem exigir uma uniformidade dos materiais. Na realidade do curso de Pedagogia UAB foi identificada uma vasta produção de materiais didáticos impressos, com parâmetros diversos e que denotam a ausência de entendimento do sistema UAB sobre a produção de material didático impresso. Os resultados são fundamentais e servem de base para promover mudança na concepção e elaboração do material impresso, ainda presente e necessário para os alunos da EAD. Abstract: This article identifies and catalogs teaching materials developed for the course of Pedagogy of IES members of the Open University System of Brazil (UAB). The objective of this investigation was the printed materials prepared for the pedagogy course offered in the members of the Open University System of Brazil, universities and from elements considered significant in the production of materials for courses in distance mode. Being a bibliographic and documentary research, the results have to be relevant, when investigating the possibility of developing new learning materials or preparation parameters seeking unification, without requiring uniformity of materials. In reality of course Pedagogy UAB was identified a vast production of printed instructional materials with different parameters and denoting the lack of understanding of the UAB system on the production of printed educational material. The results are fundamental and are the basis for promoting change in the conception and design of printed materials still present and necessary for students of EAD. Keywords: Printed matter. Resumen: Este artículo identifica y lista los materiales preparados por la Facultad de Educación de los miembros de IES de la Universidad Abierta del Sistema de Brasil (UAB). El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar los materiales impresos preparados para el curso de pedagogía que se ofrece en las universidades miembros del Sistema de Universidad Abierta de Brasil, y de elementos considerado significativo en la producción de materiales para los cursos en la distancia. Como la investigación bibliográfica y documental, los resultados tienen que ser pertinentes, cuando se investiga la posibilidad de desarrollar nuevos materiales de enseñanza o la redacción de los parámetros que buscan la unificación, sin necesidad de uniformidad de materiales. En la Facultad de Educación de la UAB de la realidad se identificó una vasta producción de materiales educativos impresos, con diversos parámetros y que denota la falta de comprensión del sistema de la UAB en la producción de materiales educativos impresos. Los resultados son fundamentales y constituyen la base para la promoción de cambios en el diseño y desarrollo de materiales impresos todavía presentes y necesarias para los estudiantes de educación a distancia.
