Purpose:The relationship between foreign direct investment and population health has been the focus of research among researchers in recent years. One of the basic individual rights is a healthy life and decent living conditions, but the SAARC countries are lagging behind in this respect. The goal of this study is to evaluate the effect of foreign direct investment inflows on population health by integrating growth, foreign aid, and human capital into the model for selected SAARC countries. Design/Methodology/Approach:The fixed effect technique based on the Hausman test was implemented through the period of 1996-2018 because of the Panel nature of the data. Findings:Our empirical results indicate that FDI inflows have a positive and significant effect on population health. Increase in FDI inflows in the host country raises the income of the people, as better job opportunities are available to them. Implications/Originality/Value:This research is a crucial step in observing the complicated relationship between Foreign Direct Investment and Population Health. It is expected that this research motivates the debate and enhance the knowledge further in this line of research.Government should provide incentives to the foreign investors by providing concessions in taxes, and better facilities in terms of improved infrastructure.

The number of channels is one of the important criteria in regard to digital audio quality. Generally, stereo audio with two channels can provide better perceptual quality than mono audio. To seek illegal commercial benefit, one might convert a mono audio system to stereo with fake quality. Identifying stereo-faking audio is a lesser-investigated audio forensic issue. In this paper, a stereo faking corpus is first presented, which is created using the Haas effect technique. Two identification algorithms for fake stereo audio are proposed. One is based on Mel-frequency cepstral coefficient features and support vector machines. The other is based on a specially designed five-layer convolutional neural network. The experimental results on two datasets with five different cut-off frequencies show that the proposed algorithm can effectively detect stereo-faking audio and has good robustness.

In this paper, we present the study of domain structure accompanying interstate transitions in Pt/Co/Ir/Co/Pr synthetic ferrimagnet (SF) of 1.1 nm thick and 0.6 – 1.0 nm thin ferromagnetic Co layers. Variation in the thickness of the thin layer causes noticeable changes in the domain structure and mechanism of magnetization reversal revealed by MOKE (Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect) technique. Magnetization reversal includes coherent rotation of magnetization of the ferromagnetic layers, generation of magnetic nuclei, spreading of domain walls (DW), and development of areas similar with strip domains, dependently on thickness of the thin layer. Inequivalence of the direct and backward transitions between magnetic states of SF with parallel and antiparallel magnetizations was observed in sample with thin layer thicknesses 0.8 nm and 1.0 nm. Asymmetry of the transition between these states is expressed in difference fluctuation fields and shapes of reversal magnetization nucleus contributing to the correspondent forward and backward transitions. We proposed simple model based on asymmetry of Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction. This model explains competition between nucleation and domain wall propagation due to increase/decrease of the DW energy dependently on direction of the spin rotation into the DW in respect to external field.

Data security and confidentiality are the most important things that must be considered in information systems. To protect the cryptographic algorithm reliability it uses. MD5 is one technique that is widely used in password data security issues, which algorithm has many advantages including. MD5 has a one-way hash function so that the message has been converted to a message digest, and it is complicated to restore it to the original message (plaintext). In addition to the advantages of MD5 also has a variety of shortcomings including; very easy to solve because MD5 has a fixed encryption result, using the MD5 modifier generator will be easily guessed, and MD5 is not proper because it is vulnerable to collision attacks. The research method used in this study uses Computer Science Engineering by conducting experiments combining two cryptographic arrangements. The results obtained from this study after being tested with Avalanche Effect technique get ciphertext randomness results of 43.69%, which tends to be very strong to be implemented in password data authentication.

Objective - This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the ability of exports and gross domestic product (GDP) value-added in explaining the variation of employment opportunities in Indonesia. The method used in this study is explanatory research. Methodology/Technique - This research uses panel data which is a combination of time series data for 8 (eight) years with the cross section of 33 provinces in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using structural equation regression through fixed effect technique and common effect technique. Findings - The results show that using fixed effect technique, the export plays a positive and significant role in creating GDP value added and plays a negative role in creating employment opportunities, whereas the estimated GDP value-added plays a positive and significant role in shaping the employment opportunities in Indonesia. However, using common effect technique, the export plays a positive and significant role in shaping the GDP value added as well as both export. Novelty - The study suggests that GDP value-added play a positive and significant role in shaping the employment opportunities in Indonesia. Type of Paper: Empirical Keywords: Common Effect Technique; Employment Opportunity; Export; Fixed Effect Technique; GDP Value Added. JEL Classification: E24, F16.

In this work, electrical properties of lateral n-channel MOSFETs implanted with differentnitrogen doses in the channel region were measured by Hall-effect technique at 300K. A mobility improvement with increasing nitrogen implantation doses is observed. Interface trap density (Dit) was determined from the experimentally measured Hall carrier density. Our results show a high Dit near and within the conduction band that does not change significantly when the nitrogen implantation dose is increased, despite observed mobility improvement.
