Finessing the question on household settlement choice is to enquire the income/consumption expenditure distribution that either makes her better-off or worse-off. Using 430 household-level micro-data from a three-stage sampling procedure, the study ranked consumption expenditure by household attributes in Delta state, Nigeria on axiomatic poverty measure. Results showed that household heads in the widowed and 0<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤20 years categories in Delta-North first-order stochastically dominated Delta-South (𝑁≻𝑠=1𝑆), 20<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤40 years household heads in 𝑆≻𝑠=1𝐶 and 𝑁≻𝑠=1𝐶, household heads in the widowed, vocational education holder and 0<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤20 years, 20<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤40 years and 𝑎𝑔𝑒>60 years categories in 𝑁≻𝑠=1𝐶, while household heads in the vocational education holder, 0<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤20 years, 20<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤40 years and 𝑎𝑔𝑒>60 years categories in 𝑆≻𝑠=1𝐶. Household heads in the female, single, medium household-size, tertiary education holder and 0<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤20 years categories in 𝑁≻𝑠=2𝑆 and 𝑁≻𝑠=3𝑆. Household heads in the single, medium-size, 20<𝑎𝑔𝑒≤40 years and tertiary education holder categories in 𝑁≻𝑠=2𝐶 and 𝑁≻𝑠=3𝐶. Household heads in the separated spouse and small household-size categories in 𝐶≻𝑠=2𝑁 and 𝐶≻𝑠=3𝑁 while household heads that are in the single category in 𝐶≻𝑠=2𝑆 and 𝐶≻𝑠=3𝑆. There is, generally, no stochastic dominance between pairwise comparisons by district in the state, in terms of consumption expenditure, except by other household attributes.

The progress of new media has promoted the development of online health consultations. Previous research has investigated the impact of media richness on user satisfaction; however, little attention has been given to the mixed effects of the nesting of multiple media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact and differences of the use of single or mixed media on users’ perceived effect from the perspectives of social support and satisfaction by mining user reviews on online health platforms. The data were collected from a professional online psychological counseling platform. We collected data on 48,807 reviews from 11,694 users. Text annotation and sentiment analysis were then used to extract variable eigenvalues from the reviews. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and hierarchical regression analysis were used for statistical analysis. The results show that mixed media with different richness has a significant impact on the users’ perceived effects. Among them, compared to “text + audio,” using “text + audio + video/face to face” can significantly improve the users’ perceived social support and satisfaction. However, compared to single medium, mixed media with higher richness may not necessarily achieve a better effect. We found that the inclusion of “video/face to face” mixed media significantly reduced the users’ perceived social support and satisfaction compared to text or audio use alone. These research results complement the blank media richness theory in the field of online health care and provide guidance for improving the personalized customization of online psychological counseling platforms.

Abstract Study question Is the outcome of IVF/ICSI cycles done with continuous (single step ) embryo culture system different from that with sequential embryo culture system ? Summary answer Yes the outcome of IVF / ICSI cycles done with continuous (single step ) embryo-culture system is better than that with sequential embryo-culture system . What is known already Embryo culture media are important factors in IVF, which can significantly influence the clinical outcome of IVF/ICSI cycles. However it is not clear which formulation is most optimal and whether sequential or continuous media (single step) should be favored. Sequential media complies with embryo demands based on developmental stage , taking into account metabolic changes embryos undergo in-vivo, while moving from the oviduct to the uterus. The embryos in the early cleavage stage prefer to use pyruvate to produce energy, whereas once development nears the blastocyst stage , the embryos start using glucose in the process of glycolysis . Study design, size, duration A prospective RCT was carried out at our centre between 2018–2019 and IVF-ICSI patients meeting inclusion criteria (at least six normal MII - Oocytes) were included in this study. The aim of study was to compare blastocyst formation rates after embryo-culture in two different culture media systems. 436 metaphase II Oocytes from 62 women were randomly and equally divided to be fertilized and cultured to the blastocyst stage in either sequential media or single-step media. Participants/materials, setting, methods In this prospective trial with sibling oocytes, 436 metaphase II oocytes from 62 women were randomly and equally divided to be fertilized and cultured to the blastocyst stage in either sequential media ( n = 218 MII oocytes) or a single medium ( n = 218 MII oocytes). In both groups, embryos were cultured in an interrupted fashion with media changes on day 3. Embryo transfer was performed on day 5. Main results and the role of chance Blastocyst formation rates on day 5 were significantly higher following culture in single step media 60.55% (132 / 218 ) as compared to sequential media 34.86% ( 76 / 218) . The percentage of good quality blastocysts was also significantly higher in single step media. In conclusion, culture in single step media was associated with higher blastocyst formation rates compared to sequential media , suggesting that the single medium may provide better support to the developing embryo. The proportion of poor quality embryos was significantly higher in the sequential media group. Results indicate that embryo culture in continuous media could be as efficient as embryo culture in sequential media. A significant difference observed was the proportion of poor quality embryos on day 5 , which was significantly higher when the embryos were cultured in sequential media. Our results suggest that the type of embryo culture media can influence the quality of embryos both at the cleavage stage and blastocyst stage. The use of continuous embryo culture media does not seem to cause an adverse effect; in fact, their use can lower the workload in busy IVF labs and lower the stress that embryos are exposed to during handling. Limitations, reasons for caution Although single-step-medium for extended culture has practical advantages and blastocyst formation rates appear to be higher, there is insufficient evidence to recommend either sequential or single-step media as being superior for the embryo-culture to days 5/6. Further studies comparing these two media systems in well-designed trials should be performed. Wider implications of the findings: When employing sequential media for embryo culture , it is necessary to transfer the embryos from one medium to another ( cleavage stage medium to blastocyst stage medium) which increases stress related embryo damage . Therefore, single-step media is beneficial as the embryos can develop undisturbed till blastocyst stage. Trial registration number Not applicable

The covid-19 pandemic era forced teachers and educators to apply learning by applying online models. Many platforms are offered to facilitate learning, of course it confuses what application is suitable to use so that learning continues to run well even with the online system. So the purpose of this study is (1) to know the understanding and interest of students after learning by using online media platform, (2) to know the effectiveness of the platform that is often used during emergencies Covid-19, (3) able to implement a suitable platform for learning during pandemic Covid-19. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. where in research the data obtained is then interpreted by the researcher. Based on the results obtained that the use of WAG as a single medium in learning is less effective, while the use of the classroom can be said to be effective because it is applied to students become more active in learning while the google meet application provides effective results in learning because learners are able to directly understand the material brought but has some constraints faced especially in signals and quotas. So it is necessary to use a combination of teleconference applications such as google meet and applications such as WAG / Classroom as a discussion container

This study investigates the relationships between social connectedness and communication patterns from seven countries across the globe. In contrast to most existing studies, which focus on either single medium use or ICT-mediated multimodal connectedness, the study considers how people select and combine a set of communication modes for social connectedness. With survey data from the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Hungary, and the Chinese mainland, the study examines the complexity of multimodal connectedness, that is, the diversity and the frequency of multiple communication modes and media through which people maintain their connections with different social relations. A latent class analysis identifies six clusters in the diversity and the frequency to illustrate the similarities and differences of communication patterns. Sociodemographic and country variables play distinct roles in predicting the clusters in the diversity and frequency dimensions, respectively. The theoretical and practical implications of this comparative study are discussed.
