AbstractThis article explores how the encounter of Arabic with Tamil discourses on language limited as well as enabled a particular instantiation of Islamic discourse. It argues that, rather than allowing a hyperglossic extension of Arabic grammatical and poetical discourses to Tamil, Muslim Tamil poets clearly demarcated the respective domains of Tamil and Arabic grammar, thereby making each relevant only to the language it originally defined. The prime space of interaction between the two languages was afforded by Arabic vocabulary, as Tamil grammar implicitly permitted the utilization of Arabic words in Tamil poetry. The equalization of the two languages in the realms of grammar and poetics was, however, threatened both by Arabic’s simultaneous status as a divine language and by the porousness of the boundary between the two languages occasioned by ignorance of the system of equivalences created through learned discourse.

The world is on a high with neuromarketing, the battle to conquer the unconscious mind by the retailers is intersifying. Brandhs now have the power to persuade the savvy consumer and trigger the buy button through nudging and baiting them in such a manner that they fall hook, line and sinker. retailers play with the powerful tool of brain wash and trap them with irresistible choices in absolute incredible settings. the contemporary era is about the fine art of influencing the unconscious mind. consumers are caught in the paradox of choice and the ambiguities further deepen into a cesspool of offers, paybacks, discounts, gifts vouchers and the like. the consumer's brain is hacked into by the marketers and the product positioning is irrational; there is no longer a logical and systematic process of trying to occupy the prime space in a consumer's mind but to cut into the subconscious brain to be unpredictable. the ground rules for today's consumer beahviour are engagement, likeability and paucity. people act and behave with hints and signals taken from the social interactions that they have, mainly on the social media which adds to the crucibles of thoughts and actions. the author through this paper has atttempted to understand the nauces of the psychology element in modern day consumers buying behaviour.

In this article, I discuss the notion of agency in relationship to Julio Cordero’s photographs.  Julio Cordero (1879-1961) owned a photography studio in La Paz in the first half of the twentieth century and produced an array of images both inside and outside of the studio. I also offer a sense of the rich documentation that exists in the complete Cordero archive as well as the insights that it opens up concerning the interventions in self-representation made possible by photographic portraiture.  Essentially, these interventions lead us to conceptualize image culture as a prime space for enacting agency in Bolivia and Latin American more broadly.

ABSTRACT Not all the bacteria in the human body are harmful. Some microbes have a beneficial health effects on the host. Such live microbes are known as probiotics. This term ‘probiotic’ is derived from the Greek word meaning ‘for life’. There are claims that probiotics strengthen the immune system to combat allergies, exposure to toxic substances, stress and other diseases. The use of probiotic plays an important aspect in dentistry too ever since the oral infections occupied the prime space among the other infections effecting the humans. Their use in premalignant and malignant oral disorders is yet to be probed. This article will focus on benefits of probiotics for systemic and oral health. Although the site of the ancient Circus Maximus was one of the most loaded spaces of the Fascist ‘Third Rome’, it has received limited attention as a privileged site where a dizzying array of myths and illusions were entertained, simulated, and deposited as new Fascist layers on Rome’s urban and mnemonic palimpsest. Previously a decayed, ‘unsightly’, and overcrowded hodgepodge of layers of life, history, and memory, it was substantially restored, ruthlessly emptied of its previous life, and then used for a multitude of Fascist rituals and projections (parades, celebrations, exhibitions, mass spectacles). In this article, I explore the diverse facets of the circus’s transformation in the 1930s and argue that the site was used as a prime space of enacting and simulating the full thrust of the Fascist regime’s regenerative repertoire, involving erasure and disruption of layers of the past, new additive elements and spatial practices, as well as a multitude of projections of a decidedly modern Fascist new order and temporality.
