Algorithm to Find Technical Solutions for the Modernization of the Cold Rolling Mill of Large Diameter Pipes

The problem of reconstruction and modernization of manufacturing equipment for the production of large diameter pipes was considered in this paper. To assess the strength and the technical resource of the equipment was used mathematical modeling based on the experimental results and consistent solution of nonlinear boundary value problem of the elasticity theory. Influence of the torque of the working body of a cold mill on the power of its drive and the quality of the processed surface

The factors that determine the power of cold road milling cutters are investigated. Dependencies for calculating the power of milling, the torque of the working body and the horizontal component of the cutting force are obtained.
