This work presented a study of the structure, hardness and wear resistance of 65G steel treated with electrolyte-plasma hardening under different conditions. The electrolyte-plasma hardening technology and a laboratory installation for the realisation of electrolyte-plasma hardening are also described. After electrolyte-plasma hardening, we have established that a modified layer consists of the a-phase (martensite) and M3C cementite. The study results showed that electrolyte-plasma hardening makes it possible to obtain layers on the 65G steel surface that provides an increase in microhardness by 2.6 times, wear resistance by two times, resistance to abrasive wear by 1.7 times compared to the original samples. In addition, local hardening ensures the achievement of technical and economic effects due to the absence of the need to isolate an unwanted site of parts, processing only the areas requiring hardening.

Is studied of the features of anodic dissolution in the process of local combined processing of metal removal points with surface defects arising during balancing of high-speed rotors in connection with the softening of working surfaces from unwanted technological heredity. The ways of improving the processes of their technological refinement using local hardening methods are shown, calculation formulas are given technological parameters of the anode process.

This paper analyzes the quality of welded joints of high temperature resistant steel pipe at electron beam welding, knowing that the mechanical properties of these types of steels are influenced by the interaction of different processes specific to physical and mechanical metallurgy. Analyzing the values of the local hardening estimator ΔHV10 calculated between the characteristic areas of welded joints, it is observed that it has a decreasing tendency at thermally de-stressed joints, in all areas of the welded joints, especially in the welded seam.

Relevance: The theme of machine components case-hardening when heated by a laser ray has been and remains currently relevant. Laser case-hardening is characterized by a number of exclusive advantages: hardening of hard-to-reach surfaces, ensuring local hardening, including “spot” one when a continuous layer of fragile material vulnerable to cracking and destruction doesn’t form; the lack of deformations and warping of processed parts as well as finishing operations; getting desired properties both mechanical and chemical ones by introducing different elements in the uppermost layer of a product at its melting by a laser ray, i.e. at implementing laser alloying.

Purpose. Reducing the cost of technological operations for tillage due to increased resource cultivator paws. Methods. Monographic, mathematical-statistical, economic-mathematical, graphic-analytical. Results. The methodical approach to determining the economic efficiency of local hardening of cultivator paws using wear-resistant powder material with the aim of increasing the resource is substantiated. The limits of increasing the resource of cultivator paws KPE-410 and the maximum value of the cost of its hardening for the effective functioning of industrial enterprises are substantiated. Conclusions. The effectiveness of local hardening of the cultivator paw KPE-410 using wear-resistant powder material is achieved under the condition that the resource of the hardened cultivator paw is more than 18.7% of the serial sample. Provided that the resource of the strengthened cultivar's paw is 37% of the serial, in order to ensure efficiency, the cost price of hardening of one cultivar's foot KPE-410 should not exceed 112.5 UAH. It was established that with the cost of hardening of the cultivar leg Sz = 53.77 UAH and its resource 55 hectares, the economic efficiency is 109%.
