Intelligent pharmaceutical patent search on a near-term gate-based quantum computer

Pharmaceutical patent analysis is the key to product protection for pharmaceutical companies. In patent claims, a Markush structure is a standard chemical structure drawing with variable substituents. Overlaps between apparently dissimilar Markush structures are nearly unrecognizable when the structures span a broad chemical space. We propose a quantum search-based method which performs an exact comparison between two non-enumerated Markush structures with a constraint satisfaction oracle. The quantum circuit is verified with a quantum simulator and the real effect of noise is estimated using a five-qubit superconductivity-based IBM quantum computer. The possibilities of measuring the correct states can be increased by improving the connectivity of the most computation intensive qubits. Depolarizing error is the most influential error. The quantum method to exactly compares two patents is hard to simulate classically and thus creates a quantum advantage in patent analysis.

Mutual funds are investment instruments regulated in regulation number 23/POJK/04/2016 concerning mutual funds, as a guide for investment managers, protecting the rights of investors, investors are not careful in choosing mutual fund products and determining the right and safe investment manager so that legal protection is needed for Mutual Fund Investors. The purposes of this study are to analyze the legal consequences for investors related to the dissolution of a mutual fund legal entity and legal protection for mutual fund investors related to the dissolution of a mutual fund legal entity. The method used is normative legal research with a statutory approach. The technique of collecting legal materials is done through recording and documentation studies. Primary and secondary sources of legal materials are used as sources of legal materials in this study. Then, the legal materials and data are managed using interpretation analysis. The results of the study show that the legal consequences for investors related to the dissolution of the mutual fund managing legal entity are regulated in article 50 of the OJK Regulation if the mutual fund product is dissolved the investor cannot resell after the dissolution of the mutual fund product, protection for mutual fund investors is related to the dissolution of the mutual fund managing legal entity, if there is a loss to the mutual fund product caused by the investment manager, the investment manager must be responsible for the loss due to his actions

Anti-termite activities of Indonesia’s essential oils against invasive drywood termite for wood product protection

The Indo-Malayan drywood termite, Cryptotermes cynocephalus (Light) (Kalotermitidae), is considered one of the most invasive drywood termites in the Southeast Asian region. Once infesting a timber, the colony of a drywood termite is very difficult to be controlled. Thus, the best way to mitigate a new infestation of a drywood termite is by applying chemical protection on wood. In recent years, particular attention has been given by researchers to develop and use organic termiticides, such as essential oils extracted from plants as active ingredients. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the repellency performance of several economically important essential oils from Indonesia, such as Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), Cubeb Pepper (Piper cubeba L), and Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt) against a drywood termite, C. cynocephalus. The test was performed by subjecting various concentrations of essential oil toward C. cynocephalus in the force-feeding test method. Sample weight-loss was evaluated after two weeks test. The results suggested that Clove oil has the highest repellence performance against C. cynocephalus, followed by Lemon Grass and Cubeb Pepper oils. The Termite mortality rate was also recorded to understand the toxicity performance of those essential oils.

Empowering and Protecting Local Products: The Implementation of SMEs Product Protection and Legality in Lerep Village Indonesia

SMEs are a source of livelihood for small and medium communities in areas in Indonesia. Currently, the government is actively assisting SMEs players in building their businesses in order to improve the family economy and the economy of the people in the region. The size of the contribution of SMEs in supporting the economy of a country so that the existence of SMEs is highly expected by any country because of its vital role in the development and progress of the economy to achieve people’s welfare. The establishment of a business in the SMEs sector is able to absorb the number of workforces who are ready to work but have not yet got a job so that it can reduce the number of unemployed. In establishing a business, SMEs actors should have a legality license or business license to run their business. The importance of legality for SMEs activists is that in running their business entrepreneurs do not need to be confused when their merchandise or business is tested to find out the feasibility and legality of the business they are running. Implementation in the ease of granting permits for SMEs is still not possible in all regions because there are still regional heads who have not issued regulations to delegate the authority to issue SMEs permits to sub-districts. Business licenses or SMEs that have received legality of their products to get it easier in running their business. Business licensing provisions that need to be owned by entrepreneurs in the form of Company Business License are based on the Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 46/2009 concerning Amendments to Permendag No.36/2007 concerning Issuance of Trading Business Permits.

Assessment of Some Heavy Metals in Selected Cosmetics Commonly Sold in Katsina Markets and Their Human Health Risk

Cosmetic product protection is a serious concern because of the presence of heavy metals. Accumulation of these metals affect human body over a time. The study was aimed at assessing the levels of some toxic metals in different cosmetic products sold at different shops and markets in Katsina metropolis. The cosmetic items included nine face powder and nine lipsticks. The cosmetics were digested and analyzed for heavy metals (Ni, Cd, Cr and Pb) using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Risk of this metals to the consumer was determine using systematic exposure dosage (SED), margin of safety (MoS), hazard quotient (HQ), hazard index (HI) and cancer risk (CR). The range of the concentration in face powder was 0.007-0.624±0.003-1.508 mg/kg. The concentration ranges in lipsticks was 0.012-0.036 ± 0.009-0.036 mg/kg. Lead has the highest concentration in face powder and chromium has the highest concentration range in lipstick, while cadmiun has the least concentration in both face powders and lipsticks. The concentration of all the heavy metals are below permissible limit. The Margin of Safety (MoS) values calculated for different metals were higher than the established safe standard by WHO except for Cr in face powders. The obtained SED values are much lower than PTDI. HQ values were within permissible limit indicating low risk of detrimental effect. HI value is greater than one in face powder and less than one in lipsticks. The carcinogenic risk (CR) estimated are within permissible limit except for Cd.

CELLULOSIC PADS AS MATRIX SACHET ANTIMICROBIAL: A REVIEW

The advancement of active packaging technology has contributed to the need for customer assurance of the quality and protection of fresh foods and agricultural products. An example of active packaging to maintain food quality and improve product protection is the use of antimicrobial pads. Antimicrobial pads are a type of active packaging that releases active agents into the headspace food packaging in order to prevent, inhibit or destroy the growth of microorganisms.. Antimicrobial pads are very easy to apply to food products by placing them on the bottom of the product or inserting them into the packaging material. This literature study discusses the characterization of cellulose as a major component in the manufacture of pads, techniques for the incorporation of antimicrobial compounds into pads, and suitable applications for the inhibition of microorganisms in food products. Apart from that, this literature study also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of antimicrobial pads as active packs.

Esterification Product Protection Strategies for Direct and Selective Methane Conversion

A scale-flexible process for the direct and selective oxidation of methane to primary oxygenates is of great interest, however, a commercially feasible approach has yet to be realized due to a number of challenges. Low product yields imposed by a well-established selectivity-conversion limit are particularly burdensome for direct methane-to-methanol chemistry. One strategy that has emerged to break out of this limit is the in situ esterification of produced methanol to the more oxidation-resistant methyl ester. However, these methaneto-methyl-ester approaches still elude commercialization despite their unprecedented high yields. Herein, we outline some of the key barriers that hinder the commercial prospects of this otherwise promising route for highyield direct catalytic methane conversion, including extremely corrosive reagents, homogeneous catalysts, and inviable oxidants. We then highlight directions to address these challenges while maintaining the characteristic high performance of these systems. These discussions support the efficacy of product protection strategies for the direct, selective oxidation of methane and encourage future work in developing creative solutions to merge this promising chemistry with more practical industrial requirements.

The impact of online marketing on the use of textile packaging: an approach to consumer behaviour

Online marketing is the act of utilizing online channels and tools to spread a message or idea about an organization’s image, items, or administrations to its potential clients. The strategies and methods used for Internet showcasing incorporate email, online networking, show promoting, website streamlining, Google AdWords, and that’s just the beginning. Online marketing has become more and more used in recent years, whether it is about promoting products or services, or it is about ideas, concepts, and beliefs. Considering this aspect, this article aims to identify the influence of online communications on the adoption or acceptance by consumers of products packaged in textiles. In recent years there has been a significant discussion in the literature on the role and purpose of packaging (promotion, product protection, advertising), but they have not highlighted consumer preferences for packaging and the impact of online marketing on them.
