HUBUNGAN DAYA LEDAK OTOT TUNGKAI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LOMPAT JAUH MAHASISWA PENJASKESREK STKIP-PGRI LUBUKLINGGAU

This study aims to determine the relationship between limb muscle explosive power and the long jump ability of STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau students. This research is a correlational study. The population in this study was the 3rd semester of Physical Education and Health students in the 2020 Academic Year STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau. The sample used is 30 students. The research method used is correlation, with data collection techniques using tests and measurements. The instrument for measuring the explosive power of the leg muscles uses the standing broud jump test and for the long jump ability using the long jump test. The data analysis technique uses normality, linearity, and product moment correlation tests using SPSS (Statistical Program For Social Science) for windows software. The results showed that: There was a significant relationship between the explosive power of the leg muscles and the long jump ability of the Physical Education students at STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau, with the value of rcount = 0.544 > r table = 0.361. With the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the long jump ability of the 3rd semester physical education and health sector students in the 2020 Academic Year of STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau, amounting to 29.6%. Then the alternative hypothesis is accepted.

Effects of a Self-Regulated Training Program on the Repeated Power in Female College Handball Players: An Intervention Study

Several resistance training programs using conventional methodologies have been implemented with the purpose of improving the ability to perform power actions in handball, especially during the competitive season. In contrast, methodologies based on a contemporary perspective, which considers the human being as a self-regulating biological entity, and designed specifically for female college players, are scarce. The aim of this research was to investigate the effects of an eight-week resistance training program, in which the athletes were able to control the loads according to their self-perceived effort and rest on their repeated shuttle sprint and jump ability. The sample was composed of 16 female players of a handball team from the faculty of physics and mathematics sciences of a Chilean university. The RSSJA test was used to evaluate players’ conditions pre- and post-training program, and the self-perceived effort scale called OMNI-RES was used for the prediction and control of loads. Results indicated that, after the application of an eight-week resistance training program, significant improvements p ≤ 0.05 on the jump height (pre: 1836.4 W; average post: 2088.9 W) and running speed (average pre: 3.2 m/s; average post: 4.0 m/s) were obtained, as well as a significant reduction in the loss of power and speed between each set of the applied test.

Effects of Introducing Rest Intervals in Functional Fitness Training

Background: Functional Fitness Training (FFT) is a new exercise modality prioritizing functional multi-joint movements executed at high intensity as a circuit. Objective: To examine the impacts of introducing rest intervals in a FFT workout compared to “rounds for time” (RFT) FFT. Materials and Methods: Participants were 25 resistance-trained adults who completed two FFT workouts 1 week apart. The study design was crossover such that in a given session half the participants completed the standard and the other half the adapted FFT (FFTadapted). The workouts consisted of the same exercises (circuit of four rounds of exercises), but one (FFTadapted) included preset rest intervals (three sets of 1 min after each completed round). Before and after the workouts, countermovement jump ability and blood lactate were measured. Heart rate (HR) and ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) were measured post-exercise. Results: For both the standard and adapted protocols, mean HR was 90% age-predicted maximum. Final RPE was also similar for both workouts (~15–15.5) and indicated a “hard” work intensity. Both FFTs took the same time to complete (~13 min). Furthermore, no significant differences were observed in jump ability between FFTs. In contrast, lactate (15.11 ± 3.64 vs. 13.48 ± 3.64 mmol·L−1, p < 0.05), measured 3 min post-exercise, was significantly lower in FFTadapted. Conclusions: In FFTadapted, there was a significant reduction in RPE and blood lactate concentrations after exercise, while there were no significant differences in either HR or jumping ability, compared to a FFT workout in RFT methodology.

EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LONG JUMP ABILITY THROUGH RESISTANCE ROPE MEDIA AT GRADE V OF SDN 17 MANDAU

The background of this research was the students’ low ability in performing long jump squat style. Thus, the researchers tried to take action in order to increase students' ability. The effort was using resistance rope learning media. This research was a classroom action research conducted on 23 students in class VB. The implementation of this research was in the odd semester of the 2019-2020 school year. The research instrument was the student's long jump ability observation sheet. The results of the research in the first cycle obtained classical completeness as many as 17 students or 73.91% and increased to 86.95% with the number of students who completed as many as 20 people. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the students’ ability to perform the long jump squat style increased through the use of resistance rope media.

Muscle Recovery after a Single Bout of Functional Fitness Training

Background: Functional fitness training (FFT) is a new exercise modality that targets functional multi-joint actions via both muscle-strengthening exercises and aerobic training intervals. The aim of the study was to examine muscle recovery over a 20 min period after an FFT workout in trained adults. Materials and methods: Participants were 28 healthy trained subjects. In a single session, a countermovement jump (CMJ) was performed to determine several mechanical variables (jump height, maximum velocity, power) before (preFFT) and 4, 10, and 20 min after the FFT workout (postFFT). In parallel, capillary blood lactate concentrations were measured pre- and 3 min postFFT. Heart rate was also measured before and after the workout, and perceived exertion was measured postFFT. Results: Significant differences between the time points preFFT and 4 min and 10 min postFFT, respectively, were produced in jump height (p = 0.022, p = 0.034), maximum velocity (p = 0.016, p = 0.005), average power relative (p = 0.018, p = 0.049), and average power total (p = 0.025, p = 0.049). No differences were observed in any of the variables recorded preFFT and 20 min postFFT. Conclusions: While mechanical variables indicating muscle fatigue were reduced 4 and 10 min postFFT, pre-exercise jump ability only really started to recover 20 min after FFT although not reaching pre-exercise levels. This means that ideally intervals of around 20 min of rest should be implemented between training bouts.

KEMAMPUAN LOMPAT JAUH MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA “KB” KELAS V SDN 11 DURIAN SEBATANG

Sports activity for grade V elementary school students is not an abstract experience. Therefore, the use of used cardboard props is very important to make it easier for students to learn the long jump practice. One of the alternative props that can be used in the long jump practice is used cardboard (KB). The purpose of this research is to find out that the use of used cardboard props (KB) can improve the long jump ability of grade V students of SDN 11 Durian Sebatang, Seponti District, Kayong Utara Regency. After carrying out Classroom Action Research for 2 cycles, in general it can be said that by using used cardboard props (KB) students' long jump abilities were quantitatively increased. In addition, the interest, attention, participation and presentation of students also increased.

The Effect of Squat Training on Long Jump Ability

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of squat training on long jump abilities. The research method used was one group pre-test and post-test. This study consisted of 20 students of class XI Computer Network Engineering who were taken randomly. Research results in peer squat exercise, which affects students' long jump abilities, have been studied before. Still, the difference with this study is that the method used is peer squat exercise, which is done in pairs to provide a new atmosphere and make students not feel bored. This study concludes that peer squat exercise, which is done in pairs, positively affects the long jump ability in athletic sports.
