The paper presents the effect of the Hévíz Lake sludge on health and beauty,with particular emphasis on the beneficial properties of the Hévíz sludge ingredient In cosmetics, which is mainly presented with the Kaviczky treatments applied in Danubius Health Spa Resort in Hévíz and the ecological unevenness of Lake Hévíz. Agnes Kaviczky developed the Pannon Formula, which is composed of Hévíz sludge, Hévíz water, natural grain extracts and biologically pure essential oils. The unique features of the Lake Hévíz, its therapeutic effect, its unique flora and fauna are of great importance for those seeking healing, beauty, relaxation and excursions. From an environmental point of view, the sustainability, protection, conservation of its living and healing sludge for future generations must be sought.

Research on the use of limboto lake sludge as raw material for bricks by adding sand as a mixture of materials using experimental quantitative research. In the study used limboto lake silt with sand mixture with variations of2%, 5%, 7%, 10% and 15%. Related variables are physical and mechanical properties of bricks. The controlling variable is the materials used.The results showed that bricks with raw material from limboto lake sludge with a mixture of sand with variations of 2%,5%, 7%, 10% and 15% did not produce the right composition to have the same quality of bricks with bricks using raw materials clay. Penelitian pemanfaatan endapan lumpur danau limboto sebagai bahan baku batu bata dengan penambahan pasir sebagai bahan campurnya menggunakan penalitian kuantitatif yang bersifat eksperimen. Dalam penelitian digunakan bahan endapan lumpur danau limboto dengan campuran pasir dengan variasi 2%, 5%, 7%, 10% dan 15%. Variabel terkait berupa sifat fisik dan mekanik batu  bata. Variabel pengendali adalah bahan-bahan yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa batu bata dengan bahan baku endapan lumpur danau limboto dengan campuran pasir dengan variasi 2%, 5%, 7% 10% dan 15% tidak  menghasilkan komposisi yang tepat untuk memiliki kualitas batu bata yang sama dengan batu bata yang menggunakan bahan baku tanah liat.

To find out the Co-pyrolysis characteristics of Dianchi Lake sludge and coal,Dianchi Lake sludge was introduced into coal pyrolysis process. In this paper,the pyrolysis experiments of Dianchi Lake sludge and coal were carried out by TG and TGA. Results show that the TG and DTG profiles of Dianchi Lake sludge were similar to coal, but different from coal under various blending ratios.Interaction was observed between the solid phases of Dianchi Lake sludge. The results provide a reference for further study on co-pyrolysis of Dianchi Lake sludge and coal to a certain extent.

Sludge tends to accumulate easily in lake due to the closed water system and the pollutants contained inside could cause serious environmental problems. The sludge accumulation is mainly solved by dredging the lake, although the general disposal method of the dredged sludge by landfilling remains a problem due to formation of soft-ground and limited space. In this study, the conversion of the dredged sludge into adsorbent material that can be used for water treatment was tried. Using hydrothermal treatment in alkali medium, lake sludge which main components are silica and alumina could be converted into zeolite. The effects of various treatment conditions (NaOH concentration, alkali solution volume to dry sludge weight L/S ratio, Si/Al molar ratio, reaction temperature) were investigated. The adsorption abilities of synthesized zeolites were evaluated by measuring the cation exchange capacity (CEC) value and adsorption capacity towards heavy metals in aqueous solution (Pb, Cd). Soluble elements in sludge such as silica and alumina tend to dissolve at higher temperature and form zeolite. Zeolite type Na-P1 which was synthesized at silica/alumina (Si/Al) ratio of 2.5 and reaction temperature of 120°C showed the highest CEC value. The synthesized zeolites showed some adsorption ability towards heavy metals in aqueous solution (Pb2+ (Xm=55.3mg/g) and Cd2+ (Xm=40.9mg/g)).

Phase change material (PCM) can absorb or release a large quantity of latent heat when it changes phase from solid state to liquid state or vice versa, and has very important applications in thermal energy storage systems. One of the combination methods is incorporating PCM in porous building materials, which are suitable matrix materials for PCM. In this paper, two kinds of ceramsite manufactured from East Lake sludge and paraffin were selected to form phase change composites by using the vacuum impregnation method. Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analysis was used to evaluate the phase change behavior. The result showed that the peak temperature (TP) and latent heat of the melting process of the paraffin in ceramsite A and B was a little higher than that of the bulk paraffin.
