Pneumatic dual reciprocating bellows pump has been widely used in chemical transportation due to its good sealing and anticorrosion performances. Nevertheless, the large outlet pulsation limits its performances on precise transportation and control of the fluid. Although the design of employing flexible linkage between the bellows has been proposed as an effective solution for this shortcoming, the design, manufacture, and control of the pump also become much more complicated. This paper presents a mathematical model to formulate the effects of structural, geometric, and control parameters to the output pulsation of pneumatic dual reciprocating bellows pump with flexible linkage. It is a dynamic model unifying several sub-models expressing the pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical parts in the pump, respectively. To ensure the accuracy, some special experiments are also employed to identify some key parameters in the model that cannot be determined directly. In addition, finite difference method is employed to solve the nonlinear equations. The model is well verified by comparing its computation results with experimental data. We believe that this study is valuable for guiding the design of pneumatic dual reciprocating bellows pump and optimizing its output pulsation.

AbstractFaces attract the observer’s attention towards objects and locations of interest for the other, thereby allowing the two agents to establish joint attention. Previous work has delineated a network of cortical “patches” in the macaque cortex, processing faces, eventually also extracting information on the other’s gaze direction. Yet, the neural mechanism that links information on gaze direction, guiding the observer’s attention to the relevant object has remained elusive. Here we present electrophysiological evidence for the existence of a distinct “gaze-following patch (GFP)” with neurons that establish this linkage in a highly flexible manner. The other’s gaze and the object, singled out by the gaze, are linked only if this linkage is pertinent within the prevailing social context. The properties of these neurons establish the GFP as a key switch in controlling social interactions based on the other’s gaze. One Sentence SummaryNeurons in a “gaze-following patch” in the posterior temporal cortex orchestrate the flexible linkage between the other’s gaze and objects of interest to both, the other and the observer.

Crystal structure determination on the mixed ligand complex [Ru(tpy)(L1)](ClO4)2 (tpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine; L1 = 4′-(ferrocenylmethylaminomethylphenyl)terpyridine) shows the ferrocenyl group to be located as remotely as possible from the RuII centre. This may explain the fact that emission from the RuII centre is detectable even at room temperature in solution.

To improve the security of linkages, it is necessary to validate the mechanism. Through the Pro/E software the link mechanism was created and carried out pre-processing in ANSYS to get a flexible linkage files, then imported to ADAMS to build rigid-flexible coupled body and proceeded dynamic simulation, finally outputted the boundary load files to ANSYS to calculate the stress and strain of linkage mechanism. The results showed that the linkages to meet the safety of the design.
