In an article devoted to the actual topic for customs of Russia, the problems of the concept, structure and evaluation of the labor potential of customs officials are considered. After considering several approaches leading Russian scientists to the definition of «labor potential», the authors came to the conclusion that at the moment there is no single, universally accepted concept and that its definition and structure will vary depending on the objectives and specificity of work. When analyzing structure of the labor potential of the customs officials, authors identified four components: socio-demographic, professional qualification, socio-personal and psycho-physiological. For each of the components was an attempt to assess labor potential of the customs officials to evaluate its components. The authors have also been modeled algorithm for determining the integrated assessment. The article defines the structure of the labor potential of the personnel of customs authorities. On the basis of the analysis formed the author’s method of estimation of labor potential, which is a component of a comprehensive system of evaluation of labor potential, simulated algorithm for determining the integrated assessment.

This paper provides an inclusive review of literature, mostly from the past decade, on optimization techniques of composite materials machining, both conventional and non-conventional process. Composite materials are continually replacing conventional materials due to their excellent corrosion resistance, higher strength to weight ratio, but the machining of composites is a challenging process. Experimental trials notwithstanding, researchers have also used various optimization techniques such as Taguchi method, Genetic Algorithm, Simulated Algorithm, Response Surface Method, and Fuzzy Logic with ANOVA etc., to identify the optimal parameters for the machining processes. Also predictive modeling techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks and Finite Element Methods have also been employed as an optimization tools for studying the composite machining process. It was found that Taguchi method is the most preferred technique in the optimization studies.

The simulation of the pattern has been an important part in embroidery, which can estimate the field of application of the stitches effectively and save the raw material before embroidery. This paper proposes a new simulated algorithm of contour extraction and image filled for embroidery patterns based on LOG(Laplace of Gaussian)operator. The experimental results show that the algorithm can achieve the expected effect.

ABSTRACTResearch on new techniques of multi-chamber mufflers equipped with a side inlet and internal nonperforated intruding tubes has been discussed in recent literature; however, the research work of multichamber mufflers in conjunction with side inlet and open-ended perforated intruding tubes which may efficiently increase the acoustical performance has been neglected. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to optimize the best design shape of multi-chamber side mufflers with open-ended perforated intruding tubes within a limited space. In this paper, the four-pole system matrix in evaluating the acoustic performance is also deduced in conjunction with a simulated algorithm (SA). Results reveal that the maximum sound transmission loss (STL) is precisely located at the desired target tone. In addition, the acoustical performance of mufflers conjugated with perforated intruding tubes is superior to those equipped with non-perforated tubes. Additionally, the noise reduction ability for a three-chamber side muffler with a non-perforated intruding tube and a two-chamber side muffler with perforated intruding tubes are equivalent. Moreover, mufflers with more chambers will increase the acoustic performance for both pure tone and broadband noise.
