The article discusses a technical solution aimed at improving the means of alignment measurements, based on measuring the deviation from straightness relative to the reference line set by the laser beam using a recorder, which uses a fiber-optic analyzer with a scanning shutter and an electronic block circuit that provides an increase in the measurement range when maintaining the minimum overall dimensions of the mass and energy intensity of the optoelectronic recorder with high efficiency in obtaining information on linear displacements.

This study was a qualitative study employing the pragmatic approach. Thesubjects comprised the lecturer and students of the workshop class in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the State Polytechnic of Malang. The data were  ollected through observations. The researcher was the key instrument, equipped with observation guides and an electronic recorder. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman in three steps: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing or verification. The results show that lecturer-student directive acts in the workshop class interaction are dominated byimperative sentences more than declarative and interrogative sentences. Studentlecturer directive acts are dominated by interrogative sentences. The functions of lecturer-student directive acts are more varied than those of student-lecturer directive acts. The request function in the lecturer-student interaction is the most dominant function among other functions. In the student-lecturer interaction, the command function is more dominant than the request function.

This study aims to describe characteristics of child speakers’ communication strategies in their interaction with a variety of interlocutors in a diglossic society. This study was a longitudinal study involving subjects aged 2 – 5 years. The data were collected through observations, recording with an electronic recorder, and field note cards. The data were analyzed using the performance analysis technique. The findings show that characteristics of child speakers’ communication strategies in their interaction with a variety of interlocutors in a diglossic society appear in the types and type variations, causes, and functions of the use in the process of naturallyacquiring the pragmatic competence.

Turbulent macro-instabilities in the process of mixing in cylindrical baffled vessel provided with pitched blade impeller were studied. Rules of macro-instability occurrence were investigated in their dependence on physical parameters of three Newtonian liquids mixed and on the regime of mixing. The observations were realized partly visually, partly by means of a specially designed mechanical measuring device connected with an electronic recorder indicating the manifestations of instability in the liquid.
