This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students' mathematical multiplication operations using the drill method and the Jarimatika method. This classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles with four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The subjects of this study were the class III students of MI Miftahut Tholibin Mejobo Kudus as many as 17 students. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and quantitative descriptions. The results showed that the use of the drill method and the Jarimatika method in arithmetic multiplication operations material could improve student learning outcomes which was marked by an increase in mastery, namely the first cycle (64%) with an average value of 68.82, while in the second cycle (88%) with an average value of 87.64 and declared classically successful 88%.

Elementary school students generally consider mathematics learning difficult, especially in the matter of multiplication, so a method is needed to develop and improve mathematical calculation skills. One method that can be used is the cross line method. This research aims to improve the ability to calculate multiplication using the cross line method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subject of research on third grade students of SD Negeri 9 Tanrutedong, South Sulawesi. Techniques of data collection were test and observation. The instruments used were test sheets and observation sheets. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the use of the cross line method could improve students' ability to calculate multiplication. This is indicated by the increase in: (1) The average score of the ability to count in the first cycle of 67.39 increased in the second cycle to 92.00, (2) The achievement of student learning completeness from the first cycle of 65.22% increased in the second cycle to 100%, and (3) the increase in the average percentage of student activity in the learning process by 77.78% in the first cycle to 94.68% in the second cycle

This study aims to determine the understanding of the mathematical multiplication concept of Islamic Elementary School prospective teachers. This study applied a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were 33 students of Islamic Elementary Teacher Education Department at the Islamic State University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Submission of mathematics questions is the learning strategy used in the Pembelajaran Matematika course. The results of data analysis showed that there were three categories: (1) understanding the concept of multiplication (33.3%); (2) understanding the concept of pseudo multiplication (18.2%); (3) not understanding the concept of multiplication (48.5%).

The purpose of this study was determine the effect of application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut. The method used in this study was  pre-experimental research method with one group pre and posttest design research design. The sample of this study was representative of students from each class in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut, it was recommended by mathematics teachers because they had difficulty completing multiplication operations, about 20 students. Based on the results of the study, the mean difference in the percentage of the initial results mathematical anxiety questionnaire with the final result was from 56.37% decreased to 42.65%, which were both still in the sufficient category. Furthermore, by testing the hypothesis using the t test (paired sample t test) assisted by SPSS 16.0 obtained data tcount = 0,000 and with a = 5% = 0.05 obtained ttable = 1.729 which means tcount  ttable. These results indicate that there were significant differences between the results of the test before applying the lattice multiplication method (pretest) with the results after the application of the lattice multiplication method (posttest) obtained by students. Thus it can be concluded that there was a rejection of H0 so that Ha is accepted, where Ha reads: there was an effect of the application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut.

Over the years, technology is growing rapidly followed by the development of game and its variations. Now, game is easily found on a mobile device. Moreover, game on mobile device can also be used as an excellent medium for learning or often referred as educational game because the nature of educational game is practical, easy to carry anywhere, and tends to be fun. This research was to create a mobile game application for learning with Horizontal method based on HTML 5 and Phonegap and to introduce the method as a method of mathematical multiplication process. This research used the Scrum method for program development. The results obtained showed that the game in this study is considered attractive and received a positive response from the player. Player also found it helpful to know the patterns of mathematics through the multiplication ofnumbers in this game. So through this game the player can perform mathematical multiplication calculations quickly.
