In the project of testing platform, characteristics of the measured object are framework. In view of the difficulties of non-contact high-precision measurement of the planar motion objects, an innovative measuring method is proposed which is based on the combined using of high-precision laser distance sensors. This paper presents the structure of the new sensor and its measuring principle, and established a mathematical model of the measurement object and its error model by using differential method. We use the Monte Carlo method to random sample the random sampling of random variables of the error model; finally combining with the instance; we use the Monte Carlo method to get frequency distribution histogram of the measurement error. Through analysis and calculation of this paper, we prepare for theory for the practical application of this new type of sensor.

The isotope age distribution and frequency distribution histogram of Jiangnan orogeny were analyzed in this paper. Through measuring U-Pb, Sm-Nd, Rb, Sr, K-Ar, 40Ar/39Ar isotope and fission track in sealing temperature, the evolution history in Jiangnan orogeny was divided into four stages. New archean-paleoproterozoic tectonic thermal event, Proterozoic tectonic magmatic event, tectonomagmatic events during Jinning period, and early Paleozoic to Cenozoic tectonic thermal event were happened in 2958~2421 Ma, 2137~1625 Ma, 1379~726 Ma, and 445~45 Ma, respectively. Each construction phase could be divided into the different period of time. There were three long time tectonic thermal halcyon period between the four stages, which suggested that the tectonic movement was intermittent, not persistent in Jiangnan orogeny.

The present study was performed in order to obtain the thiopurine methyltransferase (TPMT) activity frequency distribution histogram in a Spanish population. A total of 3640 Spanish clinical laboratory samples were evaluated, which included 1249 patients with Crohn’s disease, 589 with ulcerative colitis, 348 with multiple sclerosis (MS), 487 with several autoimmune diseases different from the above-mentioned diseases and 967 a donor group. We have measured the TPMT activity in red blood cells (RBCs) by a radiochemical method, using S-adenosyl-L-[methyl-3H]methionine as methyl donor. The different groups present in their entirety a normal distribution histogram and a wide range of TPMT activity from 0 to 41 U/ml RBCs. The differences found between the Spanish population TPMT activity frequency distribution histogram and the pattern previously described in a North American population were not due to azathioprine treatment or gender. The effect of autoimmune diseases on TPMT activity was evaluated: the enzymatic activity was similar in the donor group (19.9-6.3 U/ml RBCs) and in the patients with Crohn’s disease (20.0-5.8 U/ml RBCs) and ulcerative colitis (19.7-6.1 U/ml RBCs); however, it decreased significantly (p<0.0001) in MS patients (17.1-6.1 U/ml RBCs) with respect to the donor group. In conclusion, our results show that the Spanish population TPMT distribution is closer to that of the Jewish population of Israel than to North American populations, and that in MS the enzymatic activity of TPMT decreases significantly. This observation may take into account the usage of azathioprine as therapeutic agent in Spanish MS patients.

This paper describes an innovative way of distinguishing landslide-prone regions by simple and direct measurement and statistical interpretation of a topographic map. For this purpose, the topographic maps are enlarged and the contour interval and cross-slope distances are measured. A frequency distribution histogram based on chi-square method is constructed from the measurements. Generally, two fundamental patterns emerge from the histogram: the landslide-prone area shows several peaks whereas the remaining area shows just a single peak. The technique was used to study the landslide-prone areas of the western Kyushu District of Japan. Six sub-regions were categorised depending upon the scale functions and probability parameters. The landslide-prone and safe areas were accurately discriminated under 0. 1 to 1% confidence level. The analysis independently discovered most of the hazardous areas that were later verified in the field.

Methods for combined cytofluorometric determinations of nuclear DNA plus other parameters (proteins, enzyme activity, or immunoreactive substances) are reported. DNA measurement was performed on an autoradiograph of Feulgen-stained fetal mouse hepatocytes. In order to facilitate the multiparametric measurements and data processing, a fluorescence cytophotometer (BH2-QRFL, Olympus, Tokyo) equipped with four interchangeable filter-sets and controlled by a desktop computer (HP-85F), was used. All data stored in the same computer were displayed in a two-dimensional scatter plot or two-dimensional frequency distribution histogram. Analysis of the DNA histogram of fetal mouse hepatocytes was accomplished by the same computer. Calculated fraction sizes for G1, S, and G2 plus M phases were found to be in good correlation with those determined directly on the simultaneously combined tritiated thymidine (3H-TdR) autoradiography.
