Species Composition, and Diversity of Mataram University Green Open Space, West Nusa Tenggara

Mataram university green open space (GOS) is one of the partial green open spaces (GOS) approaches that can be used to conserve endemic germplasm as well to fulfil the proportion and distribution of urban forests. This research aims to describe the species composition, and diversity including the authenticity of Flora Malesiana in this area. We used a census method (100% measurement) to identify the species and measured the diameter and height of all tree species with the diameter of more than 2 cm. The results showed that the 99 species belonged to 85 Genera, 39 families with a composition of 61 species (61.62%) including the flora Malesiana and 38 species (38.38%) including exotic species. Based on IVI analysis showed that Ptychosperma macarthurii dominated at the sapling level while Swietenia mahagoni dominated at the pole and tree levels. The H’ of diversity is in the medium category with the sapling level has the highest value (3.42).

Perrottetia taronensis B.M.Barthol. & K.Armstr., sp. nov. (Dipentodontaceae), a new species from northwestern Yunnan Province, China and northern Kachin State, Myanmar and a re-examination of the Asian and Australasian taxa of Perrottetia

Perrottetia taronensis from the Dulong Jiang valley in northwestern Yunnan Province, China and the Babulongtan mountain range in northern Kachin State, Myanmar is here described as a new species of the Dipentodontaceae. It is the third species of the genus to be recognized for China and the first to be reported for Myanmar. It is similar to P. alpestriss.s. but differs by characters of its leaf margins, inflorescences, and fruit. The three subspecies of P. alpestris recognized by Hou in “Flora Malesiana” are here recognized as three distinct species, i.e., P. alpestris, P. moluccana, and P. philippinensis on the basis of differences in diagnostic characters and distribution. The report in the “Flora of China” of the Taiwan species P. arisanensis from Yunnan is determined to be incorrect due to misidentification of two specimens at KUN.

EKSPLORASI DAN KARAKTERISASI KANTONG SEMAR (Nepenthes sp) DI KAWASAN HUTAN JALAN MEREK-SIDIKALANG, LAE PONDOM, MEREK, KABUPATEN KARO

<em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis Nepenthes di Kawasan Hutan Jalan Merek-Sidikalang, Lae Pondom, Merek, Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksploratif. Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan November-Desember 2019. Hasil penelitian ditemukan dua jenis Nepenthes yaitu Nepenthes spectabilis Danser dan Nepenthes tobaica Danser. N. spectabilis Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1486- 1508 m dpl dengan suhu 23-25⁰C dan N. tobaica Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1501-1510 m dpl dengan suhu 23⁰C. Hasil identifikasi Nepenthes yang dilakukan berdasarkan rujukan dari buku-buku Flora of Java, </em><em>Flora Malesiana, Nepenthes of Sumatra, Nepenthes of Borneo bahwa bentuk-bentuk morfologi kedua Nepenthes tersebut sangat berbeda berdasarkan morfologi batang, daun, kantong, akar dan bunga. Plumeria pudica Jacq. : TAMBAHAN UNTUK MARGA PLUMERIA (APOCYNACEAE) DI JAWA

Plumeria Tourn. ex L. merupakan tumbuhan eksotik yang berasal dari kawasan Amerika Tropis. Marga tersebut telah banyak diintroduksi dan ditanam sebagai tanaman hias karena memiliki ciri morfologi yang menarik. Sebanyak tiga jenis Plumeria telah diketahui tumbuh di Pulau Jawa, yaitu P. alba L., P. obtusa L., dan P. rubra L. Akan tetapi, jenis-jenis Apocynaceae budi daya belum tercatat secara lengkap dalam Flora Malesiana. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melaporkan keberadaan jenis Plumeria lainnya yang ada di Jawa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode jelajah di Jawa Barat (Bandung, Bogor, Pangandaran, Sumedang) dan Jawa Timur (Situbondo) pada bulan Maret hingga Agustus 2019. Penelitian ini mengungkap suatu jenis tambahan dari marga Plumeria, yakni P. pudica Jacq. Informasi mengenai keberadaan dan ciri morfologi P. pudica dilaporkan dalam catatan ini beserta kunci identifikasi terkini untuk marga Plumeria di Jawa.

Notes on Malesian Fabaceae (Leguminosae-Papilionoideae) 18. The genus Lespedeza

The genus Lespedeza is revised for the Flora Malesiana region. Differences between Lespedeza and Campylotropis are briefly discussed. The two genera are united and treated as one genus: Lespedeza. Two species are present in Malesia. A key to the species and some notes are provided.

PLECTRANTHUS MONOSTACHYUS (P. BEAUV.) B. J. POLLARD (LAMIACEAE) DI JAWA

Plectranthus monostachyus (P. Beauv.) B. J. Pollard yang dikoleksi dari Dramaga-Bogor dan Jatinangor-Sumedang merupakan rekaman baru untuk marga Plectranthus di Pulau Jawa. Keberadaannya di Jawa belum dicatat oleh Backer (Flora of Java Vol. II, 1965: 635─636) dan Keng (Flora Malesiana Vol. 8 (3), 1978: 382─393). Jenis tersebut merupakan tumbuhan asli dari kawasan Afrika Tropis dan banyak ternaturalisasi di luar daerah sebaran aslinya. Chung et al. (dalam Nature in Singapore 8: 1–13. 2015) melaporkan bahwa P. monostachyus pertama kali direkam di Singapura pada tahun 2009 dan saat ini telah tersebar secara luas di pulau tersebut. Pada lokasi pengamatan di Dramaga dan Jatinangor, jenis ini tumbuh di area persawahan, sepanjang aliran air, dan daerah yang ternaungi. Penyebaran bijinya diduga dibantu oleh air. The major taxonomic changes that have been made within the Ericaceae since the publication of Professor Sleumer’s classic Flora Malesiana account are presented, as well as how these affect the Malesian region. Examples of Professor Sleumer’s acuity in taxonomic research are cited.
