3D visualization of the results of using modern OFA technology on the example of real boiler

The leading place in the world for environmental protection is currently occupied by the protectionof the air basin. And the main sources of atmospheric pollution are industrial enterprises, motor transport andthermal power plants. Thus, there is an obvious need to increase attention to the problems of the innovationsector, mainly in the areas of technical improvement of heat and power industry enterprises. Therefore, thestudy of the problems of reducing the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, control and regulationof its quality, as well as the study of new various methods of innovative development of thermal power is anurgent task at present, requiring a serious scientific approach. In the proposed work, computer experimentswere carried out in the field of innovative energy production technologies (the use of modern "sharp blast"OFA technology) at a specific thermal power facility of the enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Duringthe experiment, various ways of supplying additional air through OFA nozzles were investigated: OFA=0%(basic version without additional air supply), OFA=10% and OFA=18%. For these three modes, a comparativeanalysis of the aerodynamics of the furnace part of the boiler was performed according to the obtaineddistributions of the temperature and concentration fields of nitrogen oxide NO over the entire volume of thecombustion chamber. The results obtained were compared with experimental data obtained during experimentsconducted directly at the CHP.

Mathematical models of the change in composition of the inlet atmosphere for the assumed changes in the nitrogen potential

The development of gas nitriding and the systematic expansion of its scope of application in practice means that the issue of the production of nitrided layers on steels is still in the center of interest of industry and research centers from both a cognitive and application point of view. Research mainly focuses on determining the relationship between the construction of the nitrided layer and its production parameters. The condition of full control of the nitriding process effect is the control of the nitrogen availability of the nitriding atmosphere, which depends on the value of the nitrogen potential (Np) and the degree of ammonia dissociation (α). Shaping of these parameters is carried out by controlling and regulating the composition of the inlet atmosphere. Control and regulation of the inlet atmosphere composition is important in controlling the nitrogen availability of the nitriding atmosphere and, consequently, the kinetics of nitrided layer thickness increase. The article describes models for changing the composition of the three-component and two-component inlet atmosphere. Two variants of controlling and regulating the nitrogen potential are discussed: the composition of the two-component inlet atmosphere, dissociated ammonia-ammonia and the temperature function in the heating stage of the charge.

Experimental setup for high-temperature in situ studies of crystallization of thin films with atmosphere control

Understanding the crystallization process for chemical solution deposition (CSD) processed thin films is key in designing the fabrication strategy for obtaining high-quality devices. Here, an in situ sample environment is presented for studying the crystallization of CSD processed thin films under typical processing parameters using near-grazing-incidence synchrotron X-ray diffraction. Typically, the pyrolysis is performed in a rapid thermal processing (RTP) unit, where high heating rates, high temperatures and atmosphere control are the main control parameters. The presented in situ setup can reach heating rates of 20°C s−1 and sample surface temperatures of 1000°C, comparable with commercial RTP units. Three examples for lead-free ferroelectric thin films are presented to show the potential of the new experimental set-up: high temperature, for crystallization of highly textured Sr0.4Ba0.6Nb2O6 on a SrTiO3 (001) substrate, high heating rate, revealing polycrystalline BaTiO3, and atmosphere control with 25% CO2, for crystallization of BaTiO3. The signal is sufficient to study a single deposited layer (≥10 nm for the crystallized film) which then defines the interface between the substrate and thin film for the following layers. A protocol for processing the data is developed to account for a thermal shift of the entire setup, including the sample, to allow extraction of maximum information from the refinement, e.g. texture. The simplicity of the sample environment allows for the future development of even more advanced measurements during thin-film processing under non-ambient conditions.

Atmosphere Control of a House

The project consists of the prototype of a house, whose atmosphere is controlled automatically. Specific Aims of learning: studying the Arduíno board and sensors for collecting information, controlling and executing actions, knowing the language of programming needed, searching for solutions to the challenges using technological resources. With this project, the students got toknow better the functioning of some sensors and how to apply them in other contexts. And they realized the importance of home automation in people's lives.
