Abstract The article provides an overview of risk factors that are caused by the working conditions of car drivers and provides an example of a methodology for assessing visual loads that were measured using a digital video recorder. To assess real visual loads on a car driver, a method for simultaneous recording of information of visual load and heart rate has been developed and tested. The proposed method made it possible to establish a correlation between the dynamics of the flow of visual traffic information and the response of the driver’s body in the form of response changes in the pulse. The effectiveness of the method was shown and the correlation of video fragments and pulsograms with R = 0.4 was established. The results of the work are applicable to assess the working conditions of car drivers, when visual stress is a leading factor in working conditions, in order to prevent fatigue and road traffic accidents.

Atraktor cumi-cumi yang telah memberikan manfaat pada sektor perikanan, akan tetapi perlu dilakukan rekayasa teknologi sehingga memungkinkan manfaat yang diberikan dapat berlangsung lama dan memberikan dampak yang lebih signifikan terhadap sektor perikanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah fungsi atraktor cumi-cumi berbahan pipa PVC sebagai artificial reef berdasarkan jam pengamatan dan mengetahui kelimpahan ikan karang pada atraktor cumi-cumi pada setiap jam pengamatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan atraktor pada bagian atas dan sisi kiri dan kanannya diberi penutup jaring waring PE 40. Metode pengumpulan data ikan yang berada pada atraktor cumi-cumi menggunakan metode sensus visual (Visual Census Method) dengan menggunakan Underwater cam “SENU”, yang disimpan dalam Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Hasil di dalam DVR inilah yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan perhitungan jumlah ikan pada atraktor cumi-cumi. Individu yang diamati adalah yang berada di dalam dan di sekitar atraktor cumi-cumi dalam setiap jamnya, dengan jarak terluar yang diamati dari atraktor cumi-cumi sekitar 50 cm. Atraktor pipa VPC dapat menjadi terumbu karang buatan. Atraktor cumi-cumi mempunyai nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H') termasuk keanekaragaman tinggi, indeks keragaman (E) menunjukan komunitas stabil dan indeks dominasi (C) termasuk dominasi rendah.

Dengan maraknya teknologi internet dalam dunia pendidikan, hampir semua kegiatan di semua instansi pendidikan dapat dilakukan secara online, serta dilakukan kapan dan dimana saja. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi internet tersebut adalah monitoring keamanan ruangan pada suatu Perguruan Tinggi. Pada Universitas Catur Insan Cendekia (CIC) monitoring keamanan ruangan masih menggunakan CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) analog yang dihubungkan langsung dengan DVR (Digital Video Recorder) jika jumlah port DVR tidak memenuhi jumlah kamera yang akan digunakan maka harus menyediakan DVR yang baru serta untuk melihat hasil rekaman CCTV harus memasuki ruangan yang terpasang DVR, hal tersebut menjadi tidak efesien karena Universitas CIC menerapkan konsep kerja Work From Home (WFH) yang membuat bagian keamanan tidak selalu berada di ruang keamanan tersebut. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun sistem monitoring keamanan ruangan menggunakan IP Camera berbasis Android. Metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah SDLC model waterfall yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengkodean, pengujian dan pemeliharaan. Setelah semua tahapan penelitian telah dilakukan, hasil penelitian ini adalah aplikasi monitoring keamanan ruangan dengan IP Camera pada Universitas CIC yang dapat memudahkan petugas keamanan ruangan dalam memantau keamanan ruangan melalui aplikasi pada smartphone Android.

Metode pengumpulan data ikan yang berada pada atraktor cumi-cumi menggunakan metode sensus visual (Visual Census Method) dengan menggunakan Underwater cam “SENU”, yang disimpan dalam Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Hasil di dalam DVR inilah yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan perhitungan jumlah ikan pada atraktor cumi-cumi. Individu yang diamati adalah yang berada di dalam dan di sekitar atraktor cumi-cumi dalam setiap jamnya, dengan jarak terluar yang diamati dari atraktor cumi-cumi sekitar 50 cm. Atraktor pipa VPC dapat menjadi terumbu karang buatan, dan masing-masing Atraktor T1 dan T2 mempunyai nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H') termasuk keanekaragaman tinggi dengan indeks H' 3,2908 dan 3,303, indeks keragaman (E) menunjukan komunitas stabil dengan indeks E 0,7943 dan 0,8029 dan indeks dominasi (C) termasuk dominasi rendah indeks C 0,4028 dan 0,3974.

Use of Surveillance cameras in houses and markets became common, that resulted to minimize theft and make it a difficult task because it let recording and viewing what is going around. The wide application of these cameras, pushed thieves to seek new ways for abolition of the surveillance system and digital recording of events, such as cutting the signal wire between the camera and Digital video recorder or changing the direction of the camera away from the focus spot or damaging the camera or steal the device which means the loss of the recorded media. This paper focuses on such abolitions and fixed it by suggesting a way to notify the administrator immediately and automatically by Email about any violation of the system using MATLAB, which allow fast action by the administrator to fix such tampering. The results show that selecting of threshold equal to two was fair in detecting motion and value of five, in case of changing the camera direction through testing of fast and slow motions. http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.24.2019.039

Background:Prosthesis users perform various compensatory motions to accommodate for the loss of the hand and wrist as well as the reduced functionality of a prosthetic hand.Objectives:Investigate different compensation strategies that are performed by prosthesis users.Study design:Comparative analysis.Methods:A total of 20 able-bodied subjects and 4 prosthesis users performed a set of bimanual activities. Movements of the trunk and head were recorded using a motion capture system and a digital video recorder. Clinical motion angles were calculated to assess the compensatory motions made by the prosthesis users. The video recording also assisted in visually identifying the compensations.Results:Compensatory motions by the prosthesis users were evident in the tasks performed (slicing and stirring activities) as compared to the benchmark of able-bodied subjects. Compensations took the form of a measured increase in range of motion, an observed adoption of a new posture during task execution, and prepositioning of items in the workspace prior to initiating a given task.Conclusion:Compensatory motions were performed by prosthesis users during the selected tasks. These can be categorized into three different types of compensations.Clinical relevanceProper identification and classification of compensatory motions performed by prosthesis users into three distinct forms allows clinicians and researchers to accurately identify and quantify movement. It will assist in evaluating new prosthetic interventions by providing distinct terminology that is easily understood and can be shared between research institutions.

With the increasing average life expectancy of world population, there are more and more dementia patients and the need of assistive technology emerges. According to the literature, the progress of cognitive impairment can be suppressed to be slower if the patients are constantly in calm mood. An effective way is suggested by keeping them in social relationship with the others. This paper presents a project with the goal of developing a framework for supporting dementia patients. This project features a conversational agent that can serve as a companion for dementia patients. Currently it has limited conversational ability but can generate back channel feedbacks, such as head nods and verbal acknowledgment, on the basis of acoustic information in the user's speech. In order to compensate the companionship of the agent and the ability to assist the user's memory, we are developing a memory vest which is equipped with portable devices including an Android smartphone, two IC audio recorders, and a digital video recorder to log the daily life of the patient. The gathered activity history database can then be used to enrich the dialogue ability of the agent and for helping the user to recall his / her own memory.
