Purpose - This study aimed to reveal the Sunda language words originally from the Arabic in the Sundanese language dictionary of Raden Satdjadibrata. It because the entry and spread of the Arabic language in Indonesia were in line with the entry and spread of Islam in this country. And the entry of Islam carried some words that were not found by the Indonesians before, and it greatly affected their language. Especially, among the Sundanese who use Sunda’s language and most of them are Muslim. Design/methodology/approach - This study was carried out on the qualitative methods based on the theory of Miles and Huberman, with data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Findings - This study found 92 Sundanese absorption words in the letter M which came from Arabic, and from these words, we can group them into four groups. The first, and it is number 58 Sundanese words that their meaning wasn’t changed from the Arabic meaning. The second, and it's number 8 the words that extended in their meaning. The third, and it's number 13 the words that got narrow in their meaning. And the fourth, and it's number 13 are the words that changed completely their meaning. Originality/value – from a number of vocabularies found, can be used to facilitate learning Arabic for Sundanese people. so that it can help understand effectively and efficiently. Purpose - The purpose of this study is to understand the process and constraints of using the method an-nahḍiyah in teaching reading the Koran - basic Arabic language - through online books. Design/methodology/approach - Because this research focuses on uncovering the learning process with a particular method, the design chosen is qualitative with direct observation to find out the process of applying the method and interviews with several instructors related to the constraints experienced. Findings - The findings of this study, that teaching with the method an-nahḍiyah through online books there are two stages carried out, namely guided learning with teachers and independent. Furthermore, because this teaching is in an-nahḍiyah, the teacher must be able to ensure the learning objectives are achieved. Originality/value – The benefit of this research is that teaching at an-  nahḍiyah is not as easy as the level afterward, and the teacher must realize that at this level teaching must follow and according to the convenience of students, not vice versa students must follow any method applied by a teacher. In this paper, we introduce the [Formula: see text]-type concept of generalized [Formula: see text]-convex function on real linear fractal sets [Formula: see text], from which the known definitions of generalized convex functions and generalized [Formula: see text]-convex functions are derived, and from this, we obtain generalized Godunova–Levin functions and generalized [Formula: see text]-functions. Some properties of generalized [Formula: see text]-convex functions are discussed. Lastly, some generalized Hadamard-type inequalities of these classes functions are given.

The analysis of social types, such as the stranger, the marginal man and the folk devil, has a long, significant history in sociology and related fields. Although the social type concept currently enjoys a rather marginal status, in recent years the related concept of figure has been increasingly deployed in research. This article contends that Bourdieu’s work on classification and social differentiation can offer fruitful tools for a renewed focus on types and figures. To this end, it advocates a critical approach to the study of social types and figures in which they are conceived as social identities tied to classificatory struggles over meaning, value, recognition and resources between differentially positioned actors. The article also attempts to clarify the distinction between types and figures and discuss how they can be applied in research. The main arguments of the article are developed through a critical reading of key contributions to research on social types and figures as well as through the discussion of two empirical studies.

What is a vessel? It is, first and foremost, a tool. It is a tool historically, in the prosaic sense of an item manufactured in the more or less distant past for the purpose of containing something. But a vessel is also a tool for historians: vessel is a taxonomic term, naming a category of data that we use to build arguments. An animating idea of the present volume is that these two tools may not be identical. It is for this reason that it makes sense to ask: What is, what counts as, a vessel? One might rephrase this question more precisely to say: What are the necessary and/or sufficient conditions of being a vessel? This way of putting it is very Greek, even Socratic. But what if there are no such conditions, nothing that does the work of essence when it comes to vessels? That seems, in fact, to be the case when it comes to Archaic and Classical Greek materials. This is not to say that ancient Greek vessels had nothing in common beyond the fact that they were called vessels (angeia, skeuē). What these objects had in common is that they were vessels, which is to say that they answered to a certain use. In early Greece, the application of a term like vessel was arbitrary, not random, and could be projected into new and unexpected contexts. There is no answer to the question, What is a vessel? if, like Socrates, we take it to request a definition; the demand for a definition only leads to problems. I will make this point informally, by demonstration and reductio. It may be tempting to identify the two ways of using the word vessel that I have just described with the anthropologist’s distinction between emic and etic categories. How does the “insider’s view,” the emic category, of a given type-concept relate to the “outsider’s perspective,” the etic one? This way of putting the matter begs the question in at least two ways. The first way has to with the distinction itself, the second, with the notion of category that it implies.

The value of trust is one of nature that is highly emphasized in social life. The value of trust is one’s identity and the level of his faith in religion. This value is seen in the drama storyline drama Tersasar di Jalan-Mu. In this regard, the study aims to identify the value of the trusts contained in the drama Tersasar di Jalan-Mu by discussing it based on the Honorable Type Concept Framework (Kerangka Konsep Jenis Kehormatan). A total of 9 scenes have been identified as the dominant scenario with the value of Malay trust. It is futrther categorized according to the kind of honor on 7 values, namely blood, property, dignity, tyranny, disunity, women and trust. In this paper, only the value of the trust will be elaborated because this value is synonymous with the problems of today’s society which is less aware of the value of trust in family and community life. The result of the study explains the value of trust is a highly emphasized value in the lives of Malay Muslims.

Abstract The majority of running geothermal plants worldwide are located in geological settings with convection- or advection-dominant heat transport. In Germany as in most regions in Europe, conduction is the dominating heat transport mechanism, with a resulting average geothermal gradient. The geothermal play type concept is a modern methodology to group geothermal resources according to their geological setting, and characteristic heat transport mechanisms. In particular, the quantity of heat transport is related to fluid flow in natural or engineered geothermal reservoirs. Hence, the permeability structure is a key element for geothermal play typing. Following the existing geothermal play type catalogue, four major geothermal play types can be identified for Germany: intracratonic basins, foreland basins and basement/crystalline rock provinces as conduction-dominated play types, and extensional terrains as the convection-dominated play type. The installed capacity of geothermal facilities sums up to 397.1 MWth by the end of 2018. District heating plants accounted for the largest portion, with about 337.0 MWth. The majority of these installations are located in the play type ‘foreland basin’, namely the Molasse Basin in southern Germany. The stratigraphic unit for geothermal use is the Upper Jurassic, also known as ‘Malm’ formation, a carbonate reservoir with high variability in porosity and permeability. Recently drilled wells in the southernmost Molasse Basin indicate the Upper Jurassic as a tight, fracture-controlled reservoir, not usable for conventional hydrothermal well doublets. Our new data compilation including the recently drilled deep geothermal well Geretsried reveals the relation of porosity and permeability to depth. The results suggest that obviously diagenetic processes control permeability with depth in carbonate rock, diminishing the predictability of reservoir porosity and permeability. The play type concept helps to delineate these property variations in play type levels because it is based on geological constraints, common for exploration geology. Following the general idea of play typing, the results from this play analysis can be transferred to geological analogues as carbonate rock play levels in varying depth.
