Spontaneous dissection of abdominal aortic branches is rare. Prior reports discuss incidents of isolated renal artery dissections and isolated splanchnic artery dissections; however, these types of dissections almost never occur simultaneously. Based on literature review, only one other case report has described spontaneous dissections of multiple visceral arteries. This brief report presents the successful endovascular treatment of a previously healthy man with spontaneous dissection of the proximal celiac artery and bilateral renal arteries. Due to the patient’s acute presentation and renal injury, stenting of bilateral renal arteries was undertaken with successful medical outcomes on postprocedural follow up.

Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) aneurysm is the third most common splanchnic artery aneurysm. A 73-year-old woman presented with a minimally symptomatic SMA aneurysm, which was resected by laparoscopic surgical technique. The patient recovered quickly and remained well after 8 months of follow-up. This case report and literature review presents a rare mycotic aneurysm that developed in the SMA. Laparoscopic surgery can be a useful technique for the treatment of mycotic SMA aneurysms.

Spontaneous splanchnic artery rupture is associated with up to 70% mortality. Affected vessels are often aneurysmal, secondary to atherosclerosis. We report, to our knowledge, the only case of spontaneous rupture of a branch of the left colic artery and the right gastric artery, possibly secondary to vasculitis.
