Technological Ecosystems That Support People With Disabilities: Multiple Case Studies

Advances in technology, research development, and teaching practices have brought improvements in the training, levels of autonomy, and quality of life of people who need support and resources appropriate to their circumstances of disability. This article focuses on empirically analyzing the usefulness of treatments that have been supported by technology to answer the question “How do technological ecosystems being used help people with special educational needs?” The multiple case study methodology was used to address six categories of analysis: project data, objectives, processes, outputs and outcomes, technologies, and impact. The processes, open in communication, were characterized as transversal, ethical, and sustainable. The results yielded various technological ecosystems that support people with disabilities, deliver the help they need to improve their health, and provide enjoyable user experiences. At the same time, they promote the training and improvement of teaching methodologies and involve families in order to improve their knowledge, attitudes, and care of children, young people, and adults with functional diversity.

Classification of Business Ecosystems of the Russian Territory Bordering China

The theory of business ecosystems is becoming more and more popular in modern economic science, there is more and more applied research of business ecosystems in individual industries and territories. At the same time, there is no unified classification of business ecosystems in modern economic science. The works of Russian and foreign scientists mention digital ecosystems, technological ecosystems, communication ecosystems, but they are all considered in the sectoral and / or cross-sectoral context, without any connection with a specific territory. Thus, despite the initially ecological primary source of the concept of "ecosystem", the territorial aspect of business ecosystems is insufficiently studied, in our opinion. The article provides a classification of business ecosystems of the Russian border with China on the basis of a systemic economic approach for further study, forecasting and management of socio-economic ecosystems of business in border areas.

Software Engineering for Technological Ecosystems

Software engineering for technological ecosystems also referred as Software Ecosystems (SECOs) focuses on the concept of software engineering field. The study of SECOs started in early 90s under business schools, mainly focused on software engineering based on the software product lines approach that aimed to allow external designers and developers to contribute to hitherto closed platforms. The chapter gives background, various dimensions, framework, architectural challenges of SECOs, and explains various limitations and different recommendations and solutions to provide a better and conclusive platform for the technology ecosystems.

Trialogical Learning as a Theoretical Framework in the Digital Ecosystem of a Maker Community: a Case Study

Digital media is transforming teaching-learning processes. It is necessary to understand the new ecologies of learning that are developing in technological ecosystems. In this article, a learning community is analysed from the perspective of «trialogical learning», and the components of the triad are identified: elements, interactions, and products. The case study offers the possibility of transferring this knowledge for the transformation of formal learning.
