Let A be a commutative ring with unity and let set of all zero divisors of A be denoted by Z A . An ideal ℐ of the ring A is said to be essential if it has a nonzero intersection with every nonzero ideal of A . It is denoted by ℐ ≤ e A . The generalized zero-divisor graph denoted by Γ g A is an undirected graph with vertex set Z A ∗ (set of all nonzero zero-divisors of A ) and two distinct vertices x 1 and x 2 are adjacent if and only if ann x 1 + ann x 2 ≤ e A . In this paper, first we characterized all the finite commutative rings A for which Γ g A is isomorphic to some well-known graphs. Then, we classify all the finite commutative rings A for which Γ g A is planar, outerplanar, or toroidal. Finally, we discuss about the domination number of Γ g A .

A submodule N of a module M  is said to be s-essential if it has nonzero intersection with any nonzero small submodule in M. In this article, we introduce and study a class of modules in which all its nonzero endomorphisms have non-s-essential kernels, named, strongly -nonsigular. We investigate some properties of strongly -nonsigular modules. Direct summand, direct sums and some connections of such modules are discussed.

A special atom (respectively, supernilpotent atom) is a minimal element of the lattice $\mathbb{S}$ of all special radicals (respectively, a minimal element of the lattice $\mathbb{K}$ of all supernilpotent radicals). A semiprime ring $R$ is called prime essential if every nonzero prime ideal of $R$ has a nonzero intersection with each nonzero two-sided ideal of $R$. We construct a prime essential ring $R$ such that the smallest supernilpotent radical containing $R$ is not a supernilpotent atom but where the smallest special radical containing $R$ is a special atom. This answers a question put by Puczylowski and Roszkowska.

Let R be a commutative finite principal ideal ring with unity, and let G(R) be the simple graph consisting of nontrivial proper ideals of R as vertices such that two vertices I and J are adjacent if they have nonzero intersection. In this paper we continue the work done by Abu Osba. We calculate the radius, eccentricity, domination number, independence number, geodetic number, and the hull number for this graph. We also determine when G(R) is chordal. Finally, we study some properties of the complement graph of G(R).

Let R be a ring with identity and M be a unitary left R-module. The intersection graph of an R-moduleM, denoted by G(M), is defined to be the undirected simple graph whose vertices are in one to one correspondence with all non-trivial submodules of M and two distinct vertices are adjacent if and only if the corresponding submodules of M have nonzero intersection. We investigate the interplay between the module-theoretic properties of M and the graph-theoretic properties of G(M). We characterize all modules for which the intersection graph of submodules is connected. Also the diameter and the girth of G(M) are determined. We study the clique number and the chromatic number of G(M). Among other results, it is shown that if G(M) is a bipartite graph, then G(M) is a star graph.

A ring A is prime essential if A is semiprime and every prime ideal of A has a nonzero intersection with each nonzero ideal of A. We prove that any radical (other than the Baer's lower radical) whose semisimple class contains all prime essential rings is not special. This yields non-speciality of certain known radicals and answers some open questions.
